The day was staring a new again, it was sunny like it had been for the past few weeks, the grass was dry and there was desperate need of rain, the flies where zooming around everywhere, in the field where Zeda had lived for the past few years of her life, she snorted and made her way over to the lake which took about ten minuets to get to.
Her life in the past few days had been something to be envied, she had had two annoying stallions bothering her none stop and for that she was not in the best mood she had ever been in. Thinking about it made her want to run away to escape from there constant talking, soon she came to the waters edge, the lake because of the drought was not as full as it usually was but lack of water was the last thing on her mind.
She lapped up some water, it was quite warm but she was not one to complain about these things, she wanted to complain about everyone eating the berries outside her home though that meant she had to travel for food for herself. She looked up at the sky it was clear per usual but in the distance they where signs of grey clouds, 'looks like we are in for a storm tonight' she thought tilting her head slightly. She looked over her shoulder and sighed she might as well give herself a break and hang out here for a while.

It had been so hot lately, like there was a fire burning around the world. It did not really bother the young mare though. She walked freely across the valley the dried out grass crunching under the weight of her bloodied hooves. The sun warmed her creamy coat and glinted off her deep golden markings. The only problem the heat caused for her was her dark wings seemed to absorb the warmth and even beating them to create a wind did not help keep them cool.
She tossed her head growing irritated with the heat radiating off of her feathers. The cross attached to the longest strand of her forelocks whipped about coming dangerously close to knocking her on the muzzle. She stilled and watched it swing back and forth for a moment like a pendulum before settling again. A smile spread across her face as she gazed down at the metal cross, a gift from her father for reaching adult hood.
She sighed as a sudden and upsetting thought crossed her mind before she started walking again. She needed a drink and the nearby lake would be the best place to get it.

Zeda found herself still by the lake, but now she had moved to lay down amongst the tall grass that was surrounding it looking at the little fish that lived there, she was actually suprised that they where still alive. She could hear vultures overhead which ment there must be some dead squiril or something near by, at least the cloud seemed to be getting closer she was looking forward to a thunder storm.
She could hear something near by, someone approaching? Zeda didnt know if she could put up with meeting someone else especially another boy that would just throw her over the edge at the moment and she would end up flipping out and proberbly killing the pour soul. Yet, it didnt sound like a boy walking, the tended to be more heavey on there hooves and be trotting along at a right old pace, this sounded a lot lighter and graceful, like a women or a young foal.
She tilted her head and stood up curious, she hadnt seen anyone around here in for what seemed like forever this lake was her little secrate, the only people who she had seen here before was that bunch of morons which followed her here a few days ago, she made herself obvious and looked out in the distance for the horse that she had heard.

As the distance between herself and the lake closed she began to pick up her naturally slow pace. She could almost taste the cool water already and was eager to get to it. A smile spread across her face knowing that relief from the heat her wings had captured was close. It vanished as a black horse stood, startling her.
Seraphia's wings puffed out like a chilly song bird and she took several steps backwards eying the stranger. Judging by the build it was another mare. A mare with very oddly colored hair. She quirked an eyebrow and tilted her head to the side wondering just how so many horses got their manes and tails to be two colors like that. She shrugged it off and continued her way forward to the lake choosing now to ignore the mare.
She bowed her head to the low water and took a drink before making a face and pulling her head back. "Disgusting." She said staring at the warm water. This was not the relief she had envisioned, in fact it was just another annoyance. "Did you happen to do something to this water?" She asked the mare almost accusingly.

Zeda jumped back slightly as she saw two raven wings flap infornt of her, she saw the other mares long silky hair flow all over the place a metal object alomst hitting her in the face which seemed to be a cross, she had never seen another like her before, and she really was beautiful, breath taking to males who liked their girls with a little something about them, almost like a princess.
'how the heck? how could i....?' she thought so confused and suprised by the mare's sudden question that she count say anything at first. She had never really met another female her own size. She tilted her head "I am sorry if my lake is not to your satisfaction, but nature is beyond my control." she stated rolling her eyes, with a sarcastic tone of voice, 'ask a stupid question..' she thought with a small smirk as she turned the other way walking in the direction of her favorite tree to get out of the sun light.

Seraphia blinked and turned her head gazing coolly out at the other mare from behind her golden bangs. "So it is yours then..." She said looking back to the water for a moment. It was in poor condition. It seemed that the level was low and she already knew that it was warm and was poor to the taste. She sighed and shook her head. "Such a pity that you would let it fall into such a poor state." She said taking a step forward sounding very stern, yet the smile remained on her face.
"You do not take very good care of your possessions, black one." There was a certain 'tsk tsk' tone in her voice and her golden eyes taunted the other one. "Have you no pride for it? How sad that is." She shook her head again laughing lightly.
"If it were mine I would have taken proper care of it. Poor little lake never would have fallen into such a wretched state. I hardly want it now, though."

Zeda tilted her head wondering how someone could be so... thickheaded thats the word. "Really and how do you suppose i should take care of it?" she asked her mind lurking on the pride comment. 'So she is saying having a miserable patch of water outside your home is something to be proud of?' many questions where zooming about in her head, this girl decently had the upbringing to be a princess to by the sounds of it.
"And if you don't want it don't drink it there is a river near by anyways I only come here because it is easier." she added onto the end of her comment as she stepped back away from the mare for a second before looking down at her reflection, she did get a lot of her features from her father who was in an immortal depression at the moment. The dictionary should describe emo and have a picture of him next to it.
"Ya'know what where the heck did you come from anyways?" she stated shaking her head and jumping back hopefully she would find the path where people had been coming here from and burn it.

She laughed again and smiled. "There are plants all around that could be pulled up and brought to the waters edge to provide some relief from the sun. Then the level of the water would be the concern and you seemed to have solved that problem yourself. The river that is near by has water or it would not be a river, you just bring it back to your tiny little lake and fill it. I'll leave the method to you, it's not my lake and I see no reason to give you all the answers."
She tossed her head a bit sending the cross swaying back and forth again. Really this mare didn't seem to have a clue about how to take care of anything. What a shame that such people could claim something as theirs and then ruin it.
"I came from the same place all children come from." She said with a smirk. "My mother's womb." Her eyes sparkled with the same laughter that spilled from her mouth, childish yet cold. "But I imagine you are asking what place I came from recently and that information is no concern of yours." The laughter died out but a rather mocking smile remained on the golden mare's face. It had been a while since she had been entertained by another.

Zeda looked blankly at the other mare, she did not look hurt or upset, or on the other hand overly amused at the mares laughter.
"Wow you must really like to here the sound of your own voice." she stated as she rolled her eyes slightly as she looked to the side not really wanting to look at the other mare anymore she was getting bored of her face, and the look she was giving her.
"I just don't want people to be here, so where ever you came from, where such i do not care, go back to it because despite your opinions about my home, i like this place and i am afraid you are spoiling the scenery, i like being alone." She stated looking back at Seraphia with the same blank eyes as before.
"I am sure your followers are waiting for you Princess, so hope to never see you again, its disgusting, not your looks, you are quite beautiful if you ask me, too bad you do not have anything to back that up, but some people are blinded in this world, i am sure your family sees you as an angel..." she shrugged yet again analyzing another person who was unlucky enough to end up here.
Zeda flicked back her fringe most of her little speech said in a airy whisper as she walked past the mare and kept walking only looking back over her shoulder once, what right did she have to some here and start to insult her home and life style.

She simply smiled at the mare's rather snarky comment. She did in fact love the sound of her voice but that was not why she spoke as much as she did. She raised a brow as she continued this time insulting Seraphia. She bristled her eyes narrowing dangerously. She was most certainly not ruining the scenery, if anything she was improving it.
Her expression changed quickly after one word, princess. At this, she smiled her eyes softening considerably. "Princess?" She repeated in a soft purr watching the other mare closely. Seraphia was a curious creature with the most marvelous ability to only hear what she wanted to her. She stood perfectly still until the mare turned her back on her and walked past.
With a soft giggle she turned around and made her way after her. She spread her wings and brushed one against the mare's side humming softly. "You think I'm beautiful." She said in a laughing, musical tone.
If there was a single way to get on Seraphia's good side it was to compliment her. Whether one would actually want to be on her good side was debatable.

Zeda looked back at her her eyes widening. 'I have never met such a dunce ...' she thought wondering how she gt the idea she was actually complementing her, she snorted slightly and turned around.
"err, yeah i suppose so, i mean your the stereo typical princess, long blond hair, pa;e skin, big round eyes, and all the gold nick knacks, your missing the tiara though." she stated shaking her head so confused she just had to go along with it. Seraphia seemed to have the biggest case of selective hearing that she had ever seen in a mare, then again Zeda did not know that many other mares, only her sister and mother, as well as forte the little Usida.
She walked back around towards the lake as she looked into the water, it seemed Seraphia was the complete opposite of Zeda which wasn't a bad thing, the last thing she wanted was some prince charming coming to claim her as his own, she was not interesting in any sort of relationship.

She was completely satisfied with this response. Who needed a tiara though? She carried something that was much more precious. Her gaze drifted down to the golden cross. Yes, that was more valuable then any fancy hat.
She lifted her eyes and located the black mare standing by her lake staring into the water. "Are you mourning it, bright stripe?" She questioned taking her sweet time in walking to her side. She liked this mare. At times she was rather obnoxious but she knew how to give a compliment.
"It won't do any good unless you plan on filling it with tears though I do not see how that would improve the taste at all." She laughed softly at her own kind of joke. The thought was rather amusing though. To see someone crying enough to fill any body of water was quite laughable to her.

Zeda looked at her and blinked. 'bright stripe?' she had never been called a nickname before but then she realized that she had not yet intorduced herself.
"My name is Zeda." she stated as she walking into the lake.
"I sure could fill this thing with tears, at least i wish i could the art of crying does not accure naturally to me, its funny how many people take shedding a tear for granted, after you cry you feel better i hear, but if you can not cry you kind of have the feeling just before when your throat is dry and you can not speak, that lasts forever really." she stated as she shook her head yet again on another ramble of her own thoughts. She could do that for hours, being alone all the time has made her pick up the habit, she was not a social creature and in no way did she know how to act around others.
She looked over at Seraphia and just for a second it seemed like she saw a little bit of herself in her, she did not know why, but she did, she shook her head and blinked thinking that was a little strange.

She blinked at the introduction and shook her head. "It's a bit late for introductions, bright stripe." She said instead of giving her own name as was customary. Her mother had taught her only to give out her name on special occasions and that was how it would be. If one wanted her name they would have to prove that the meeting was one of those occasions.
Her small train of thoughts slowed to a stop as the other mare moved into the water. Somehow her joke was less amusing when it was turned to a serious statement. She rolled her eyes at the mare. "Crying is not all that wonderful you know? It's annoying really having your face leaking without control over it. Losing control of yourself is only fun at certain times." She took a few steps closer to the water before pausing feeling the other's gaze on her.
She smirked seeing her shaking her head and laughed a little. She titled her head to the side and smiled at Zeda partially closing her darkly colored eyelids. "You do not need to look away..." She said in a slight purr. "There's nothing wrong in admiring beauty..."
While Seraphia did not know why she was being looked at she did know that she enjoyed it. The golden child of a twisted angel and a warped goddess loved bathing in others' admiration. To feel that she could even capture another mares attention flooded her mind with prideful thoughts.

'Thats what everyone thinks, but you do not know unless you have felt it, i used to cry once as a foal i couldn't stop, and those tears seemed to wash all of my soul away until i am what i am now an empty shell'
Zeda looked at her and blinked she could not be bothered arguing with the mare about beauty so she decided that she should just go along with it after all she had nothing better to do.
"Thank you that does make sense i mean how silly of me wanting to cry and be weak." she stated as she dunked her head in the water her mane falling over one of her eyes, this seemed to happen only when her personality changed drastically, Zeda had two sides to her one was all suicidal and the other was that of like a siren
"Anyways Princess i guess your right now now, lets not et bothered here, its too warm, i say we go to the waterfall, the waters cool and the tree' are tall, and who knows who could be there." she stated with a small chuckle which was always scary when it came from her. If anyone was at the lake she would sure to be as sinister as she could she liked seeing others in confusion and stress it amused her.
