"An unflinching determination to take the whole evidence into account is the only method of preservation against the fluctuating extremes of fashionable opinion." -Alfred North Whitehead
Truly, these are words to live by.

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.”
-Amelia Earhart

"Truth is not a democracy."
(Unfortunately, many who slap this one around do not seem to take it to heart except to propagate their own agendas which they have rather arbitrarily declared as 'truth.')

My favorite quote is a fairly simple one:
"What we know is not much. What we don't know is enormous." ~Pierre Simon de LaPlace. (an astronomer/mathematician)

"Grown men can learn from very little children for the hearts of little children are pure. Therefore, the Great Spirit may show to them many things which older people miss." -- Black Elk from 'Black Elk Speaks'.
Also just read the bottom of my signature.

My Grandmother was just full of Native American quotes. The one we heard the most was---We were loaned to each other by God, the gifts that we had were to be used for each other, and that we should treasure each other because we never knew when God would be lonesome for us and take us back.
