Schmee sat on a fallen tree at the edge of the lake in East Ikiebokuro and watched the moon's reflection dance on the water. Schmee loved the night, even though she couldn't hunt as well, due to the moonlight making her white fur seem to glow and stand out in the darkness, she still like the noises of the night. The bugs chirping and the frogs singing, it was like it was all for her and the moon. Though it would be nice to meet some one to talk to.
She jumped off the tree and went to stick a finger in the water. She swirled the water watched as the ripples glided across the water. They held almost all of her attention, but there were so many sounds around her, she couldn't tell if she was alone or if there was someone out the the woods with her.

Persy walked along the ground by the lake, the lapping waters pricking her ears up. It was so relaxing and calming and so new. Everything was new to her. It was like she was in a new world completely different to the old. Everything was alien to her, from the lakes to the forests. She walked along elegantly, her tail swishing from side to side in a lazy manor. She still wasn't sure what she thought of the real world but she certainly didn't hate it. She simply felt betrayed by her past family. Though she knew that it wasn't their fault.
She walked along the bank, one foot stepping perfectly in front of the other. She saw another cat further along the bank, her white fur hard to miss in the glowing moonlight. She approached cautiously, her hand on the shaft of her scythe. She had started to learn that you couldn't always trust people in this world.

Schmee stretched out her legs and back at the edge of the lake and turned to go back to her tree when movement in the distance caught her gaze, "Hello there" she called out, she was pretty sure she had already been seen no use in hiding with her fur. Even a mole could see her coming at night.
She perked up her ears and her fluffy tail was up and flipping back and forth as she waited to see if it was a friend or foe coming. She resisted going for her blade, she wanted to make sure the new cat knew she meant no harm.
She took a step forward. "I'm Schmee, who are you?"

Persy walked tentatively up to the other cat, which she now realized was a female like herself. She let her hand fall from her Scythe, her ears still showing her nervousness at meeting the female. Like most cats Persy could see quite well at night but she was still completely unused to being out at night and was more then a little weary about it. But she made sure to try and hide her nervousness and she approached. "Good evening." she replied, her voice soft and silky.
She took a deep breath and took another step towards the other cat. From what she could gather she didn't mean her any harm but it wouldn't hurt Persy to be cautious. If her first impression was wrong it could get dangerous. She spoke once again, her voice as soft as before. "I'm Persephone. I'm new to this living alone business..." she explained, her fingers automatically reaching from her now non existent collar.

Schmee eyed the scar left by the collar and pulled her hair back to reveal her own, "I've been free for a little over a moth now, don't worry, as soon as you can catch your own food living out her is a lot easier." She said with a smile. You can stay in my tree if you like if you are tired, or I could catch you a fish if you are hungry, or you could sit and enjoy the full moon with me and tell me how you came to be out here on your own." Schmee let her guard down as she remembered her new freedom and how everything was so hard at first. Her tail relaxed and fell softly to the ground behind her.

Aiden had managed to say up rather late tonight. It wasn't a particularly good thing for him since he often went to bed before the sun set to escape the dark. He didn't like falling asleep in the dark because, quiet honestly, he was still afraid of it. Of course, his stuffed beta fish did keep him from feeling alone in the abyss but still, just the thought of monsters terrified him.
He strolled along the lakes edge, searching for a place to sit and just remain silent. He thought if he didn't make a sound then the monsters couldn't find him. It made sense, right? Well, he did managed to find a place beside an old tree. It's trunk was slightly rotting but Aiden would make good with what he had to work with. He just watched the shimmering surface of the lake for the longest time, before something caught his eyes.
He saw two figures in the distance, over down the edge of the lake. It at first startled him, sending poor Aiden to crawl behind the tree and peak out with his little fishy friend close to his chest. He stared at the two figured until it began clear to him that they were just like him, only much older and female. This new discovery didn't make him come out from behind the tree though. He was a shy little kid and meeting strangers frightened him, almost as much as the dark.

Persy relaxed after hearing the kindness of Schmee. She left quite bad for letting herself doubt the kindness of another cat but she needed to keep attentive to stay alive in the big bad outside world. She looked up at Schmee sheepishly. "I may have to take you up on all three offers if possible." she said quietly. "I havn't quite gotten around to finding somewhere to sleep for myself and as for catching food, I'm afraid I'm amazingly poor at it." She left rather silly for this. After all cats should atleast know how to hunt for their own food. "As for enjoying the moon, that would be something I'd really like to do." she said with a soft smile. "Oh by the way my name's Persephone, just call me Persy though. I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself to you before. I've been a bit on edge of late."

Schmee gave a light hearted laugh, "no worries, just make yourself comfortable. I'll get you something to eat then we can talk." She smiled and made it to the edge of the lake and very slowly she waded into the waters, she rather liked the water, and she had been called odd, as well as other things for it, by practically every other cat she met, but she always got her fish.
She stood still as stone for several minutes then slowly drew her sword. The fish came right up to her out of curiosity and nibbled on her. Still she waited for the best opertunity. Then sudden as a jolt. STAB! Three fish in one thrust. She made her way back to the lake shore with a triumphant look on her face. "The water was so clear with the full moon that it was easier then usual, and I've never caught three before! You maybe my good luck charm Persy,"
That was when she saw another set of glowing eyes watching her from the forest. She paused and tilted her head, was that just a little kitten peeking out at her, "if you are hungry, come join us small one, we will not harm you."

Persy sat down on the cold ground, her feet tucked neatly under her. She watched the female with interest. She looked to be about the same age as Persephone herself but she was much better adapted to this whole living in the wild thing and this made Persy watch her with awe. She had never seen another cat hunt except when her people were watching TV. Seeing it in real life was a much different experience. She was elegant and still and caught them with ease. Persy was sure that if she tried it herself she would simply fall over her own two feet.
She grinned when Schmee turned back to her with the fish, clapping her hands. "Wow really? That would be really cool!" she said brightly, her stomach deciding that this was the best time to demand food. Persy hadn't gotten a chance to try find her own food in the last few days and had thus been neglecting eating in general. When she saw the fish her rather tired body remembered that food was one of the things she needed to live and kicked into gear. Persy laughed embarrassedly. "It's been a rough few days." she said quietly, laughing slightly.
She then looked around, seeing the kitten. She gave him a warm smile before gesturing for him to come and join them.

Studying the white furred female, Aiden was becoming more and more curious about what she was doing, just waiting in the water. Then she drew a weapon, which had stopped his heart beat for a few moments, he had to admit. He just watched, tucking himself behind the tree a little more as he waited. Then she struck the water, pulling her blade out with three fish still squirming. He had to admit he was impressed. It took him at least an hour to catch a meal.
Taking one cautious step at a time towards the ladies he was still nervous. His ears pulled back against his head and his tail lingering close to her body. He was terribly hungry, and yet he was also terribly terrified to get to close to these strangers. It seemed forever before Aiden was actually out from behind the tree. "I-I can h-have some?" He had managed to stutter some words out in a nervous manner.

Persy turned right around to look at the kitten. She didn't want to scare him off but she also wanted to make sure that he knew that she would cause him no harm. So she turned around, still on her knees and offered him her hand, giving him a kind smile. "Yes you can have some. Don't worry now just come over here. We promise we wont hurt you. You look half starved pet." she said quietly, her motherly instincts kicking in.

Aiden wasn't to sure about this. When she turned around he nearly got the reflex to bound back behind a tree, but he didn't. He instead just flinched and got lower to the ground as he eyed her extended hand. He looked over at the fresh fish and then back to Persy. He was incredibly hungry but he wasn't so sure of these two. Deciding to take his chances for food he took hold of the red head's hand loosely and walked close to her. "Thank you," he managed to speak just above a whisper.

Schmee smiled and handed a fish to Aiden and Persy then took the last for herself and sat opposite them. "I see you brought your own fish with you, but he looks more like a friend then food. I'm Schmee, and this is Persephone, have you been on your own for long, feel free to stay with us as long as you need to, these woods can be dangerous when you are on your own." She said smiling warmly at the kitten.
Schmee noticed Aiden seemed a bit scared so she turned back to Persy, "so tell me what brought you out her. Why did you leave home?"

Persy gratefully took the fish, taking one large bite out of it. She was starting to feel so much better about being abducted now. She smiled at the little boy beside her. She was very lucky to have met such nice cats out in the wild. Before she had come her she had always assumed that wild cats were mean and cruel. She was obviously very wrong about her judgment.
She looked at Schmee, her fingers going for the collar scar once again. "Well I didn't exactly leave." she said quietly. "I wasn't abandoned either though. I was abducted from my home and I ended up here." Her voice was sad and soft. "I do wonder if they're out there looking for me but I'm not really sure where they lived so I doubt I'll be able to find them again..." she trailed off taking another bite of her fish.

Aiden simply stayed silent as he listened to the older, wiser cat speaking. Her fur was so pretty, he thought. It looked soft, much like a cloud. He took the fish skittishly and held it close to his body before taking a seat. He didn't waste time tearing the flesh off the bones with his teeth, careful not to catch any bones. It was interesting, what these two talked about. He placed his stuffed fish between his legs so that he could see comfortably. Aiden always pretended his fish had feelings. He just felt the need to care for it deeply.
