Sarah felt oddly fluttery, her work had been a bit more difficult of late seeing as she was mildly bothered by her conscience, but she had to eat and so did the others. Besides in her line of work the reward was worth it wasn't it? Not like she would be at it forever after all. She snorted to herself and scampered along the riverside.
Her dress was clean and smooth, her hair pulled up without a strand out of place, she was going to go tell Abel how she felt. She had summoned up the courage last night while preparing some fresh new pies. This morning she had fixed up, no one would have guessed that she had been coated in blood and bits of meat. She licked her fangs and shook away the dark thoughts, today she would either get a happy surprise...or...well it didn't bear thinking about.
Of course she had thought about it! What would the priest say to her when she confessed her feelings? Would he drag her to confessional and scold her, or had he felt the stirrings of something as well? Maybe she'd get drug off to the alter instead. Her heart skipped a beat then plummeted, she would have to be careful about the shop. Finally she arrived at the tree and smiled brightly well and truly pleased to be there.
"Ohhh Abel love! Yoo hoo!" She gazed upwards hopefully.

Just as Sarah Lovette called out from below, a dark ribbon fluttered down from the huge nest high up in the tree. A very brown, very little head poked over the side and there was the soft sound of a disappointed "awwwww" from the tiny otter's mouth.
"I heard that, Maria. Please don't tell me you broke my- Sarah!" Abel stopped in his tracks, dripping water. In comparison to his normal outfit, he was only half-dressed, wearing only the tight-ish robe, without mantel or his collars or his glasses or his gloves or shoes, his hair loose and dripping as much water as the rest of him. Apparently he had just stepped into the water for a dip.
His heart did a small flip in his chest upon seeing the smaller female at the base of his tree. The female that had been on his mind for a good while. He smiled softly at her and tilted his head to one side, curious.
"This is a surprise. What brings you here?"

Sarah watched the ribbon flutter down and felt her claws knead the earth at the sight of the little brown otter. She turned startled as she heard Abel and for a moment was left quite speechless. Clearly she was hallucinating, her naughty mind had gone and done this deliciously wicked thing. She let her tongue dart out to moisten her lips and blushed.
"Abel!" She gave a light giggle and tilted her head "Well now this is quite the change love." She picked up the ribbon between her claws and sat infront of him holding it out.
"I came for a lil visit, I...I missed you." She flushed a bit more her pale skin turning pinked beneath her light fur.

Abel's face turned crimson and gales of laughter could be heard from above.
"I, er, well, you know, I mean, Anna Maria you stop that laughing or I swear I'll make you recite passages for an hour!" he sputtered before shouting up at the piratical miniature otter who was finding his embarrassment HIGHLY amusing. The laughter abruptly stopped at the threat, however, and he took the ribbon with one slightly shaking paw and carefully attempted to tied his hair back with it.
"It's much easier to think, I mean swim when one isn't burdened by so much clothing," he replied, covering his embarrassment with a small cough. She had missed him, and he had to admit to himself that he had missed her too. How complicated.

Lovett glanced up at the gales of laughter and shook her head with a wry smile before turning back to watch as her priest, errr THE priest tied his hair back. She felt her claws flex again, but this time they longed to run through his silky snowy strands.
With a soft smirk Sarah nodded at his words "Maybe you and I should go swimming then?" She felt suddenly startled at her own words, but when smiled coyly, after all wasn't admitting her true feelings why she had come in the first place?

Abel's paws slipped and the ribbon fell to the ground once more as he blinked rather owlishly at her.
"Eh, uh, what was that?" he asked, not quite sure he had heard her right. Had she just suggested they go swimming together? what a... different idea. And the look she was giving him made his face heat up again.

Sarah plucked the ribbon up again and slipped behind him gracefully to run her claws through his hair gathering it up and tying it. She leaned close to his ear careful not to bump his wings. "I said maybe we could go swimming together." She smiled and slipped back infront of him.
"Would be nice dont'cha think love?" Her dark eyes gleamed.
She looked around and nodded "A lil swim, maybe a picnic after, we could...talk." She had to force the smile after that, she was nervous about confessing herself. She internally scolded herself at the use of the word confessing.

A minute shiver went up the priest's spine when she ran her paws over his hair, but he smiled gratefully at her. Abel did his best to hold that smile when she spoke and nodded his head.
"Alright, then. That sounds like a very good idea, actually!" he replied, cheerfully, completely missing the strained smile on her face. He didn't, however, miss the pause before "talk". He wondered what she wanted to talk about, and what made her, no doubt, nervous about it.

"I s'ppose I should 'ave brought some pies, 'ave you got any picnic fare stored away in your tree then? Or will we be swimming for clams?" She relaxed once more and pushed the conversation in the back of her mind, the words would tumble out on their own she was sure. She just needed to get a chance to get close, cozy, before things got awkward she would tell him.
Maybe she should have brought some of her famous fermented fruit juice to loosen him up. Granted she was sure that trying to imbibe a priest and then seduce him wouldn't get her up any higher in the good lords book. Not that she stood a chance there anyway.

"Well, I figured it'd be best to do a little bit of hunting. It's good around here, since I'm the only one working this part of the river. I know where the best clams are," Abel replied somewhat proudly. He stood, as he had sat down to attempt to fix his hair, and turned back towards the sound of the water.
"If you'd follow me?" he asked and there was another burst of giggles from above, which he frowned at before turning a smile on Sarah again.

Sarah nodded and started to slip out of her heavy dress giving a soft sigh as her corset loosened up and allowed her to breathe. She pulled her hair down and shook it out before following him towards the river. "Lead the way then love."
She glanced back at the sound of giggles and tried to think nicely of the little otters in the tree.

Abel's face darkened again and he looked away, pulling the ribbon from his hair again and setting it with her things. He led her to the river and smiled over his shoulder at her before jumping into the air. He flapped up a bit before folding his wings and diving into the water with barely a splash.
A few moments later, his head bobbed to the surface and he grinned, almost playfully, at her.

"Bravo, bravo love!" She laughed and stepped back a bit before racing at the water and leaping under gracefully, barely a few drops splashing with the tip of her tail. She popped up beside him and nuzzled his cheek "Lead the way then and we'll collect ourselves a lil picnic feast!"
She smiled and dove beneath the waves darting in circles around him with the energy of a more youthful otter, it was the wonderful way he made her feel.

Abel laughed at her behavior and dove with her, weaving around her, his hair trailing around him under the water. His heartbeat quickened at her appearance beneath the water's surface and his blood burned in his veins. He swam close to her and beneath her, rubbing his side against hers and then his back along her underside at an angle, skillfully turning to watch her with slightly narrowed eyes.
For a few moments, he just watched her, floating in place until he caught himself and swam a little ways down-river and to the bed. Among the rocks were clusters of clams. He took one in his mouth and two others in his paws before turning to her and smiling as best as he could with something in his mouth.

Sarah smiled her eyes dark beneath the water, her hair lined with red highlights that caught the sun as it broke the surface. She followed him happily weaving and rubbing alongside him her tail touching his, her paws playing against his back and stomach. She twirled naturally around him before he moved on.
She froze beneath the water her face lighting up at the sight of all the clams. She pulled them quickly against her chest a little cache of five and snagged another with her mouth. With her back legs and tail she managed to get herself back up to the shore. She spilled the clams on the soft bank and pulled herself from the water soaked. She laughed and gazed back for Abel her chemise clinging to her pale fur.
