Okay everyone! You're going to have to learn some vocabulary, just for the fun of it. I want you to learn the word and, perchance, use it in a RP thread or just make a sentence in this thread.

If you make your minimum posts, if you do not get a warning from the crew, and if you do use the vocab word (posting the link or the sentence here), you are able to enter the 10k Lottery of the Month. 10,000 Gaia gold sounds good, eh? All for some vocab, some good behavior, and activity in the guild [hopefully!].

druthers = free choice : preference (used especially in the phrase if one had one's druthers)

Here is your vocabulary list:
- druthers [Nov./Dec.] = ^ see above ^
- opaque [Oct./Nov.] = blocking the passage of radiant energy and especially light; hard to understand or explain
- fortnight [Sept./Oct.] = a period of 14 days; two weeks
- alacrity [Aug./Sept.] = promptness in response; cheerful readiness; briskness; eagerness
- calamity [July/Aug.] = a state of deep distress or misery caused by major misfortune or loss; a disastrous event marked by great loss and lasting distress and suffering

My emotional state was plunged into a state of calamity at seeing that the crew members and the non-crew members did not post with alacrity the word of the month. However, I will not budge from the requirement of the word of the month posted for the lottery.

I would love to give it a fortnight, but I have already let the guild have a month. Therefore, we shall continue as we are, giving the two posters a consolation prize instead of the two posters being allowed to go for the 10k trophy.

Margem's views are typically not opaque in nature, though she wonders if the roof of the guild is too opaque because the role playing (like plants) have not come into bloom.

Hanna says to Lilly," Your mind is very opaque this evening. What are you thinking?"

"I have my thoughts on the usual," replied Lilly, "About war and stuff. How about you?"

"Nothing more, nothing less," said Hanna, "We better go and bunker down for the night."

"I agree," answered Lilly, "Good night."

"Good night."

(I helped my sister edit this before she posted. I love you, sis! heart heart ~Margem (She's learning; I'm not mad at her.))

With melodic, mellifluous intensity, the symphony played out a symphony of opaque emotion and austere beauty.
As the symphony played, the music changed mood as the weather changes seasons; quickly changing from brooding to vivace to a pensive largo, as if it were a man of opaque intention, hiding his face behind a mask of uncertainty, a facade of false emotion.
Without words, the score sung marvelously of times long since had; the seasons of many moons ago; the tragedies that had played in those hallowed halls, fortnights long past.
The conductor waved his baton in a shifting and weaving pattern, and the musicians responded with alacrity, commanding their instruments to create fleeting beauty of only a moment. Without warning, the music's temperament shifted with the waving of the baton and began a swirling rage of sound and fury, as violins moaned and cymbals crashed, the timpani thundered and silver bells flashed. The peaceful, reflective melody had changed into a calamity of noise, all still blended beautifully.
As the conductor slowed and lowered his baton, he stood and faced the crowd.
"Thank you for experiencing our 'catastrophe symphony'."

Elfy broke down the opaque veil of his inactiveness-ness so that you may see his radiant energy and light. xp

If Margem had her druthers, the day would have about 27 hours (daily) so that she could sleep, get homework done, have time to get on Gaia, and yet not get sick. Alas, that cannot happen, though.
