Yes, as any guild we have our rules and expectations. Make sure that you are familiar with the rules, because we are going to follow them. Failure to do so will result in consequences.

The Rules

1. Follow all the rules of Gaia TOS, as well as all rules here. We've spent a lot of gold creating the guild, and we don't want it taken away from us.
2. NO CYBERING. This is strictly against Gaia TOS, so it is covered by Rule 1, but we want to be clear on it. Romance is encouraged, but keep it under PG-13!
3. Always post in either a 9, 10, or 11 size font. Anything bigger makes it look unorganized.
4. NO TEXT TALK is allowed, even in OoC form. This is a literate roleplay, and I know there are people in this guild, especially me, who HATE text talk.
5. No one liners! This is a literate rp, and while I understand that everyone has writer's block once in a while, you can still make up a few sentences to beef up a post.
6. No spamming in this rp! This will result in an automatic ban. If you would like to advertise, we will have an Affiliate Guild Thread. Just PM AthrunsKasemei and tell her if you would like to advertise.
7. Don't harass for posts. If you think someone has left the thread or has been inactive for a long time, PM one of the mods. Chances are, we have already PMed the person to ask, but if not, we can be alerted to PM them. We want this guild to thrive, not to let it die.
8. No Godmodding. This equals autohits, killing or harming someone without permission, and controlling other people's characters. There is one exception to the controlling other people's characters, and that is only if someone is offline and has given you permission to control their character. I or one of the mods MUST be notified of this if that is the case.
9. Do NOT post in the announcement threads unless given permission. The announcement threads are for the Mods to give you information about the guild. The first post of the thread will indicate if they are asking for feedback or not.
10. Respect everyone in the guild. You know the rule, treat others the way you want to be treated?
11. Profiles must be approved before you are allowed to post with your character. You will know that your character is approved when you see the word 'Approved' in the center above your submitted profile.
12. You can only post for your character at one place at a time. That means you cannot post them in a class, while having them in the gardens.
13. You must declare what dorm you as a roleplayer belong to before you post. Failure to do so will result in a consequence.
14. Mods have final say. I trust all my mods, because I have rped with them in other guilds. If a situation arises, we will discuss what the solution will be and implement them.
15. Failure to abide by the rules will lead into punishments.
16. To make sure you have read the rules, PM me and title the PM "I Understand". I will be keeping track of who has read the rules and who hasn't in the next post. If you do not see your name there, you have not sent me the PM, and are not allowed to post. If you do post with your character before you have had your profile approved, or clarified that you have read the rules, there will be punishment involved. Please don't try to fake it. I will find out.
17. As a last note, the rules can change at random. We will try to notify all of you when they do. The Mods must all agree to change or add a rule before it is added, and we will add rules as we see fit, if they are needed.

The Consequences of Rulebreaking for the Roleplayer

Consequences exist when you break the rules. It is no different in this guild. The consequences will first start by a reduction of points from your dorm overall. If you continue to break rules, you will be warned, and if it is severe enough, banned from the guild. The consequences of rulebreaking are below.

1st Offense: A warning and a requirement to re-read the rules and repeat Rule #15.
2nd Offense: Five Points from Your Dorm's Overall Total
3rd Offense: Another Five Points from Your Dorm's Overall Total
4th Offense: A Warning and a requirement to re-read the rules and repeat Rule #15, as well as a five point reduction from your Dorm's Overall Total.
5th Offense: Ten points from your Dorm's Overall Total.

There are a few rules that will result in an automatic ban. Rules 1, 2, and 6 are the three rules that will result in an immediate ban.

Please do your best to not break the rules. We don't want to punish the you guys, but we need this guild to run smoothly. In addition, there are incentives to not break the rules, as well as incentives for being active in the guild. Those will be posted in the Out of Character Subforum soon.

The Consequences of Rulebreaking for the Character

While we have consequences for a roleplayer if they break the rules, we have consequences for the character's as well. If your student breaks rules, such as being late, causing trouble, or doing something else bad, they will be in trouble as well. Individual teachers may have their own rules, but the punishments will usually range in the following.

1. Points off your Dorm's Total Points
2. Detention
3. Referral to the Counselor
4. Dorm Arrest
