I thought we should post our Ideas for Festivals and stuff.
Okay so to explain my self maybe we should hold some festivals to give earth weaver some culture. So here is a place to post our ideas hopefully the crew members will read!
So here are my ideas:
Earth weaver donation fest
Festival of arts

Im sure athleticism is huge in Centaur culture, so we ought ot have own own Olympics and more then half the events involve running D;
Story based on in dramatic form I'd imagine would be another, being told by campfire or on stage with actors, hearing the stories of old not only is interesting it helps to let everyone know of the past and keep the basic ideals close to heart.

I think it'd be very important to have harvest festivals and other festivals related to growing things. Planting festival and harvest festival, and other nature-related events. A midsummer festival and a midwinter festival, festivals on the solstices, all those would be good for centaurs.

More traditions:
Some tradition when one person writes words to a song and another writes the music (oohh we could use it for marriges or something)
on fullmoons girls can give small presents to people they admire
on new moons boys can do the same!

I second the ideas of celebrating harvests and solstices. Centaur always seemed to me to be very cyclical beings to me, honoring the circle of life and whatnot.
I also like the idea of a centaur Olympics, although let's give ourselves more depth than just running.

And let's not forget the autumnal wrestling contests.
Physical ability is a source of great pride for centaurs, especially the younger ones.
It's also a good way for the herd alpha to prove that they've still got what it takes, so they would take challenges for the leadership then, rather than having to be constantly on the lookout for usurpers.
Plus, everyone gets to show off their vitality to their partners, what with breeding season on the way.

To me, centaurs have always struck me as very in touch with nature, so I'd suggest something like Mother Earth Festival or something along those lines.

 ( A true centaur would be a proud being, even for appearing half human (above the waist) they would look down upon them, such a destructive race by nature and whole in most realities.
I myself would be a rogue centaur who was raised too close to human territory, so I lost my edge as a proud superior race sweatdrop but pride and slight ignorance is a centaur trait that is hard to get rid of.
As traditions, I would think that even if they would have a mate for life, the mating season would partly be to breed stronger generations, so if their choice of love would happen to not be the choice of mate for the season, would just show their less than impressive performance during the season itself. But such a natural thing as a tradition should not hurt the feelings of the male, but maybe the pride...
