It wasn't surprising that since one child had gotten the illness more were to come out of the quarantine. This boy was as young as the girl taken out of the room. So far there hadn't been any too young, just the poor little flamingo boy, that didn't seem to be the case in the second wave.
Soon after being brought in Romeo was wheeled out of the quarantine. He didn't seem to be doing as badly as some of the other children but he definitely had it bad. Once he was brought into a more specialized room an IV was quickly prepared and inserted into the child's wrist.

Romeo's vision was hazy and everything he hear sounded like he was under water. He didn't really understand or notice what was going on until he felt a sharp pain in his wrist and he yelped and looked around instinctively for Marco.
Becoming a little more coherent he realized that he had been separated from his father, "Daddy?..." He said weakly looking around but only seeing more white coats and a man with really red hair, redder than Clays.

Another child had fallen to the horrible disease. Data was required and there was little time left. This boy was just as good as any other to get data from. As Acklin hooked Romeo up to the machines he hooked him up to the anesthesia instead of oxygen. Knocking him out quickly.
Exploratory surgery was a must now. Luckily though there were multiple ill children, depending on which way you looked at it. He could examine a couple of organs from each. It would cut the surgery time down for each one exponentially and thus lower the risk of complications.

Acklin soon came to Romeo's room. just like with the others he was quick to administer the vaccine then took off for the other kids.
