" I'll bee back in an hour Mareike, behavior yourself, listen to your teacher and try not to kill anyone accidentally ok?" Nickle sighed as he spoke and looked down at his daughter. He really hoped this was a good idea, gymnastic had not panned out for the girl being too boring in her opinion. Tennis was more active and there really was less attention to detail and shorter time learning the basics. Chances were she'd find it more acceptable.
She was also older now and more likely to have a bit of patience, not that Nickle had seen t0o much evidence of that. " Please?"
Mareike just rolled her eyes and nodded " I'll be good, go away." The maroon skinned girl didn't need his help and he was only holding her up. Although Mareike did love her father he was a pest sometimes. At least he'd bought her a pretty tennis outfit since she'd agreed to stay in lessons for at least a year. The little skirt and top combination amused Mareike a lot more than her old gymnastics leotard had.

Adriel was wearing shorts and looked extremely unsure of himself being here. Clutching at a tennis racket as if it was his life support his mother hurried him out of the vehicle and left. He wore shorts and a large t-shirt...he only joined this because he heard from the list of people participating thre was one name that stood out.
A certian dark-skinned girl was to be here.. and that was his draw. Marieke. He looked about nervously wondering where the girl was. He spotted her maroon like skin instantly, perking a small smile lighting on his face.
He trotted up to her still holding his racket to his body as he neared. The tentacles reached up in greeting, reaching for Marieke happy to see her as well. Adriel didn't stop them, as the girl actually liked his limbs.

Nickle spotted the familiar boy approaching Mareike and smiled slightly as he walked away. At least if the girl had her friend aroudn she'd be more likely to concentrate on the lessons right? Friendly competitiveness and all that. There wasn't much Nickle could do about it if the situation was otherwise so he chose for now to look on the bright side.
It was her golden center eye that caught sight of Adriel first and Mareike grinned and turned to him. " Hey, I missed you, it's boring at home." with that she reached out her left hand to the closest tentacle, her right occupied by holding her racket.
Suddenly her eyes narrowed " and no cheating you only get one racket even if you have four arms." Mareike wouldn't be surprised if Adriel's tentacles tried to pick up spare rackets just becuase they were around.

Adriel's face flushed as Marieke stroked one of his tentacles the other being ignored butted against her hand for attention as well. The one currently receiving attention...if it could purr it certainly would be. He nodded his head to her, he missed her too. A lot. There was something about her that was comforting...probably because she wasn't afriad of his limbs it he slightest.
"I..m..missed...y..ou to..too." He stammered looking up at her with bright eyes despite his flushed face. He looked a bit starteled when she told him he couldn't cheat. He gave a nervous laugh.
"I..dou..doubt I can ..use one racket. Ne..nver mind four." He replied honestly. "Ha...ve you..pl..played before?" He inquired as this was his first time playing the sport.

Mareike shook her head, " Nope, Lessons start today and I wasn't allowed to try any earlier in case I got ahead and got bored." Mareike though Nickle just hadn't wanted to pay for her to have one on one lessons in case she got good enough to hurt someone. Not that Mareike was inclined to hurt someone unless they deserved it and in that case she's hit them with the raquet not the ball.
Letting go of her friend the young girl headed towards the court. " we should go so we aren't late. " she sighed agitatedly " I'm not allowed to get in any more trouble."

Like a puppy the boy trotted after the girl happily if a bit shyly. His face was still red but he was smiling. That was a good thing right? He wondered what she meant by not getting in more trouble. Did she get in trouble a lot? But she looked...so sweet...it seemed a bit of a foreign concept that she could get in lots of trouble.
Of course...she was part wrath. That could explain a lot of things. He had a sneaky feeling he would follow her to the ends of the earth if she asked him to.
When the arrived at the court the other kids were already paired up, so he looked to the red skinned three eye'd girl a moment.
"Uh...you will be my partner?" He inquired a bit hopefully.

" Sure, just don't hit my wings" she warned. Mareike had no intention of folding her wings to her body just so she could play tennis. She's seen people with spread wings doing stuff like that before on tv. It was supposed to make things harder but the young girl was willing to trade difficulty for comfort. Bouncing a bit on the balls of her feet Mareike smiled at Adriel " We're gonna be the best."
The other children looked liked they didn't know each other but she and Adriel were friends. This meant if they played against other duo's they probably work well togeather and even facing each other they weren't likely to try and hurt each other to show off. At least that was what Mareike thought anyways. she'd been wrong from time to time before and it could happen again now.
( not sure who's supposed to be playing the teacher he so i didn't advance the rp much ^-^)

Adriel chewed on his lower lip at her comment. Now terrified he may hit her wings he wasn't so sure he wanted to play anymore. He raised his head as he heard the teacher shout direction at the group of kids.
Apparantly they were suppose to choose a partner and then...stand across from each other..on either side of the net? He looked over to the marooned skin girl a moment offering her a shy smile as he wished her good luck before moving across to the other side.
Since Marieke had the ball she would serve first. He held his racket much to close to his body....he really did look timid.

Once the teacher explained and demonstrated a proper serve Mareike bounced the small green ball once then tossed it into the air and smacked it hard with her racket. She used just a bit too much of a downward swing and it grazed the net as it crossed over to Adriel's side.

Adriel couldn'help t try and cover his face as the ball came hurtling in his direction. His tentacles though took the racket from him and waved it around in a crazy sort of way. They missed the ball obviously, but it was a funny sort of sight.
When he finally looked up, although a bit sheepishly he scurried after the ball and retrieved it. He looked at Marieke a bit embaressed.
"Ah...I will make sure to ..look next time." He said in a quiet way before he retrieved his racket from his flailing limbs. He then looked awkward as he bounced the ball and attempted to send the ball back. He hit it a bit high though it managed to get over the net it feel quite close to it.

Mareike stared incredulously at her friend, sure he didn't have three eyes but still it couldn't be that hard to watch the ball. Or it wouldn't have been if he hadn't been hiding from it ; honestly it was just a tiny ball it couldn't hurt anyone that bad. Shaking her head she picked up the fallen ball on her side of the net. " I think that's one point each."
Having learned from bother her and Adriel's first swings Mareike hit the ball back at her friend using less force than before and trying to hit it more even than down so it couldn't touch the net. This time her friend better not cheat and use his tentacles even if he only had one racket he still had better reach including them.

Adriel swollowed as he watched her bounce the ball and then hit it back over to his side. He watched it, his tentacles watched it...it would of been a funny sight if he was watching himself. But even as he swung he hit the ball on the rim and it jarred his arm and the ball only wobbeled back into the air and then fell short of the net.
Looking embaressed he went to retrieve the ball and then served, this time he managed to get it over just fine, although a bit high still. It still made it over the net and it didn't go out of bounds which was pretty good for him.

With this return Mareike jumped up to bat at the ball sending it back over the net and downward. Three eyes or not her depth perceptions wasn't always right and the girl was still learning the type of hand eye coordination you needed to make this work. Just swinging her racket would likely end in a hit but aiming was not really an option.

adriel was getting over his initial DODGE ANYTHING COMING AT YOU fear. He watched the ball again batted Chii away and then swung. It was a horrid hit the wobbeled in the air pathetically before landing with a bounce a few feet short of the net. He was terrible at this game, though his tentacles weren't making it any easier.
"Ah...sorry." He stated as he then went to retrieve the ball and manged to send it back over the net.

Mareike giggled, really she was only doign better than Adriel becuase she was strong enough to send the ball over the net awkward angle or not. Besides looking around her lone golden eye could see he wasn't the only one struggling. Paying more attention to the others than she should have Mareike sent her next shot right into the net . It hit the netting dropped to the ground and rolled just enough to make it over to Adriel's side.
Embarresed the girl ruffled the feathers on her wings.
