It was a tuesday night. Nothing out of the ordinary; an average movie night for the teenage mutant ninja turtles. The five of them; Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Master Splinter, were riding in the back of the battleshell, Casey Jones was riding shotgun, and April O'Neil was driving. An average movie night, followed by an ice cream run. It was warmer than it had been in a while; about 69 or 70 degrees. "Finally starting to feel like summer, ain't it?" Casey said casually to his friends in the back.
"No kidding!" Raph agreed. "I was almost expecting it to snow!"
Don's head kicks into gear. "Raph, you know that couldn't happen unless-"
"Aw, give it a rest, Donnie!" Mikey interupts, his usual ear-to-ear grin on his face."Nobody here speaks geek, let alone weatherman. Isn't he always wrong any way?" This comment got a good laugh from everyone.
At that point, the van came to a stop. "We're here; does everyone want the usual?" April asked. Various agreements were heard from the back. "Ok, be back soon!" April and Casey get out. But they don't get far; at that moment, something bright apeared in the sky, causing everyone to stop and stare. It was huge, about the size of the battleshell, and completely ablaze.
"What in the world is THAT?" Mike said surprised, pointing out the window. The four brothers then ganged up on the window, each trying to push the other out of the way to get a better look.
"Move over!"
"No, YOU move over, Raph!"
"Ow, that was my eye!"
"Well get it out of the way!"
"Can we all just calm down?"
"I wanna see!"
"Boys!" Splinter said in a comanding tone. The in-fighting imediately stopped. Raph, however, took this chance to get a good look out of the window.
"Well, what is it?" Donatello asked, choosing to just let Raph have the window.
"I don't know; It's gone now." Raph replied. "But I think it was some kinda bird."
"A bird? Come on, dude, it was on fire. I could see that!" Mike said skepticly.
"I got to agree with Mike on this, Raph. It was on fire, and was WAY too big to be any type of bird native to Earth, let alone the U.S. or New York." Don added, equally doubtful.
"Maybe." Leo said, "But it was definently real. And it landed in or somewhere near Central Park."
"Whatever it may be," Master Splinter said with a nod, "I am sure the the Foot will want it first. We cannot allow that to happen."
"Alright; we go to to Central Park." Leo said decidedly.
When April and Casey returned with the ice cream, They weren't suprised to find the turtles already gone. "Now what are we gonna do with their ice cream?" Casey complained.
April rolled her eyes.

I'll admit, I started this a while ago under a different account, but I'm hoping maybe it'll find a bigger audience here. So enjoy!
