Weapons - [ShiShi Yaiba] - Shishi Yaiba (Lion Blade) is the blade he received after his father's death some years ago. It is a unique blade as it is crafted from a mix of titanium and other alloys that make the blade practically indestructible. Yuudai is trained mostly to use the blade instead of Genjutsu and Taijutsu. He is seen as a prodigy as far as his use of Kenjutsu. This blade was not the blade that was granted to him by use of his will, but a present for him. This sword is his own unique blade, not the blade his father gave to him.
Kyuukyoku Senjin Eiseiryuuouken (Ultimate War Blade Eternal Dragon King Sword): This EXTREMELY long named blade is the sword that all recognized leaders of the Zatoichi clan have wielded. Or at least the one with more authority (as the clan is controlled in joint rule) and it is made out of an ore found from a comet Seven Hundred and some odd years ago. This ore gathers chakra and resonates to the chakra of its wielder. It also seems to have a mystic connection with the Zatoichi clan, for as long as the wielder of the blade has the blade, their Stamina is higher than normal.
Personality - Yuudai is rather cold hearted at times, disliking the need to interact with people outside of his superiors. He is distant and often isolated most of the time, if not on a mission of course. Yuudai is still rather displeased that he has remained a Genin at the age of sixteen. But due to his physical ailments and health complications, this is not his doing. He feels as if he has disgraced his father and his name because he has failed to advance in rank for so long.
While Yuudai is cold and distant, he is only so cold within as his layers of skin. Inside he is confused, disoriented and a bit concerned for his health. His body has begun to fail him early and he fears that the life of a Shinobi may not be for him. Either way, he is determined to make it up until Jounin and wear his body ragged. He disregards his own health for the pride of his family name. While his body may be frail and weak at most times, it is in contrast to his inner strength and iron will, which some say is indomitable.
Yuudai prefers to conform to the instruction and guidance of his superiors, feeling that an excellent Shinobi knows his place in the world. His father before him was no different in his beliefs.

Yuudai was born into a small and relatively unknown clan in Kirigakure no Sato. His father and his father before him all were master Swordsmen. Yet his family was plagued with tuberculosis. His father suffered from it and his grandfather as well. Yuudai was no different and received it as a child. He was often distant from others because of his illness, bed stricken and fatally ill half the time. His father told his son to be strong and that if he was a true Zatoichi clan member, than he would be able to muscle his way through it. But how? His body was so small and frail. Yet his will to make his father proud was stronger than his own sickness. Yuudai entered the Academy a bit later than most due to his illness but managed to pass with flying colors. However, even with his determination, overexerting himself often proved fatal. His Tuberculosis flared up and he would enter violent fits of coughing and spew blood.
Yuudai was physically, quite weak. Yet he forced himself to endure the training and make himself stronger. At times, the opposite occurred and he would be forced to rest for days at a time. Even so he would fight to try and leave. Like his father, Yuudai excelled in the ways of the Sword. It was customary in the Zatoichi clan, that all first sons receive the Swords of their fathers to carry on their names. Yuudai was actually their second son, but the first had died prematurely. The tradition was not meant to be kept with Yuudai, even if he was the only living son. He was still the Second. At age 9, Yuudai's father passed away from his tuberculosis, the illness finally getting the best of him.
While the sword was never meant for Yuudai, his father specifically noted in his Final Will and Testament, that he wanted his son to have his sword, because he had shown the strength to carry on his families name. Yuudai, felt deeply honored and swore that one day, he would be the best Swordsman in all of the Countries. But his health continued to fail him and he became even more distant and angered by his own weakness. While by others standards, Yuudai is not weak, few ever often see him in his sickened state. He tries hard to hide the fact that he too suffers from this fatal illness and this has been the reason that he has not been able to graduate to the level of Chunnin.
At age 11, Yuudai continued on with his life, training and still pushing his health to its brink. He was expected to die by the age of 23. He would've had a higher life expectancy if it were not for his constant training and overexertion. Yuudai merely persevered through his illness and continued with his training. However, he was often plagued by random flares of his illness and was bed stricken once more. He was miserable and still cold to everyone that he met. He continued to train, learning the ways of his father and his father before him. He learned quickly, a trait he would need if he wished to keep up with his learning. Yet even with his prodigious learning ability, Yuudai fell back, his illness still getting the better of him.
Yuudai still trains and tries to work his body continuously so that he can at least make it to Jounin, where if he completes this goal, will be ready to die. Though he would like to become one of the Kiri no Shinobigatana Shichini Shu.

As Far as Ninjutsu goes, Yuudai has knowledge of all Genin level techniques, but aside from that, he doesn't know Jack.

Iga-Ryuu Iaijutsu (Iga Style Immediate Reaction Technique): Yuudai implements his blinding speed and reflexes to counter and suddenly attack his opponents with his Katana.
Iga-Ryuu Kenjutsu (Iga Style Sword Techniques): Combining unnatural speed with chakra, Yuudai is able to put more power into his strikes which create streaks of energy that increase damage to his attacks. Often used as energy projectiles.
Densetsu Mai (Legendary Dance): A technique coupling his great speed with his skill with the blade, Yuudai is able to send a vast array of cuts and stabs into vital areas of the body, killing the opponent.
Souryuu Sen Ikazuchi (Double Dragon Flash Lightning): Yuudai merely draws both his blades and uses his great speed to move to his opponent and slice them.
Ichimonji: Uchi (One Word: Strike): A simple use of his great speed to confront an opponent and slice them with his blade.
Hachimonji: Dai Ryuujin no Tachikaze (Eight Words: Great Dragon King Of the Earth Splitting Wind): Yuudai draws both of his blades and charges them with his chakra. He then preforms Eight Strikes towards vital positions of the body in hopes of at least landing one to cripple his opponent and end the fight.
Jyuumonji: Dai Ten Noboru no Ryuujin no Eisei Tachikaze (Ten Words: Great Heaven Ascending Dragon King Of the Eternal Earth Splitting Wind): This technique is a higher level version of Hachimonji Dai Ryuujin no Tachikaze. This technique uses ten strikes, all in places that would be fatal or potentially fatal if landed, not to mention the extra cutting edge that his chakra provides when attributed with the two blades.
Guren Hazan (Crimson Wave Chop): Yuudai slides his blades against his arms and allows blood to trickle down them. He then uses his chakra and creates crimson streams to slice his opponents.
Ama Kakeru Ryuu no Hirameki (Heaven's Soaring Dragons Flash): A favorite technique of Yuudai. He implements his speed and blades to rapidly circle around his opponent and slash outwards, creating hundreds of sickles of his chakra at high rates, making it a very hard technique to avoid.
Kyu Hyaku Uchi (Nine Hundred Strikes): Yuudai uses both blades to send a flurry of slashes towards his opponents. These slashes are charged with his chakra and they create long thin sickles that are invisible to the eye. So even if his opponent manages to avoid the solid blade, the attack is still followed up with the blade of chakra. A technique that Yuudai created himself.
Kyuzu Ryuusen (9 Headed Dragon Flash): While Kyu Hyaku Uchi follows close as his strongest attack, Kyuzu Ryuusen takes the Cake. Yuudai sacrifices some of his blood and practically all of his chakra to activate the true power of his two blades. He Stabs his blades into the ground and they slowly sink into it. In its place are nine large containers, each holding a different blade. They surround both he and his opponent. Yuudai runs rapidly around, pulling each blade from the container and slashing at his opponent. This attack is NEVER used as his health will usually either cause him to stop and enter fatal condition during or beforehand. Yuudai could still go on if he was in critical condition, but would surely kill himself. He is not even ready for the technique yet, but has knowledge of it because of his father.

Positives:
+Yuudai has excellent Kenjutsu ability and is prodigious in this area. His skills are disproportionate to his age, as most would believe his skill to be equal to that of a seasoned Swordsman. Yuudai has been trained to wield the blade for as long as he can remember and because of this, has great skill with the blade.
+Yuudai has fair knowledge of the Vital Systems and Tendons within the body, allowing him to strike with precision and accuracy, often allowing him to end fights quickly so that his weak constitution doesn't get the better of him.
+Because of his knowledge of the Vital System and Tendons, he also proves to be a good healer. While he is not capable of using Healing through his Chakra, he is quite talented when it comes to crude healing (i.e., Surgery with Knives, bandaging etc...) and poison extracting.
+Yuudai has great speed and agility and often uses this to his advantage in battle.
+Yuudai is nimble and has excellent reflexes, which help him better react when in tight situations and his mind is far too stressed to fully analyze the status of the fight while in a heavy battle.
+The Nin is often calculating and analytical, noticing many small details about people that few others often care to notice, or overlook. He also has the ability to think under pressure and has quite a high intelligence.
+He strongly dislikes rushing into situations and prefers to plan things before he is forced into battle. He is known to tread the waters before fully immersing himself in the heat of a fight.
Negatives:
-Yuudai has a weak constitution and low strength. His body is quite frail and he gets tired quite easily when in a fight, which explains his dire need for formulating plans, as his body won't last long under pressure.
-Yuudai's tuberculosis flares up when in a prolonged battle. This often causes him heavy chest pains and severe coughing fits, where blood is usually spewed from the mouth. He becomes disoriented and has the chance of passing out.
-Every wound that Yuudai obtains during battle is a potentially lethal one. He has the misfortune of bleeding excessively, often causing him to black out. If left unchecked, the situation can become fatal and he has a high risk of death.
-Any blunt impact to the chest or diaphragm will most likely affect Yuudai greatest and this alone will cause his tuberculosis to flare up. Whenever he is hit in his chest or diaphragm, blood will usually seep from his mouth and cause him heavy chest pains and the contractions of his lungs. This makes it hard for him to breathe and could cause him to lose the fight easily.
-Yuudai almost completely relies on his speed and Kenjutsu ability. He is not exactly a well rounded fighter and most likely wouldn't fair well against a strong opponent with a large constitution. He easily tires when fighting for too long because of his failing health.

+Yuudai favors few things in this world, but his two most favorite possessions are Shishi Yaiba and Kyuukyoku Senjin Eiseiryuuouken the two blades that he received after his father's death.
+Yuudai also has a soft spot for animals, but could care less about their human owners.
+Yuudai also has a joy of reading, writing and anything in which he can immerse himself into.
+He also loves training, which is almost always dangerous to his health, which he also seems to disregard.

-Yuudai dislikes when others underestimate him because of his health situation, thus the reason he denies his failing health.
-Yuudai dislikes most forms of compassion and sympathy, and prefers forms of acceptance instead of the latter.
-He cannot stand for ignorance and is easily irritated by ones lack of competence. He will usually be cold to most people as he deems almost everyone ignorant outside of his superiors and the extreme few that he respects.
-He cannot stand when one does not follow the orders given by a superior and fervently will follow a Superior's ideals if he believes in them. If not, he will still complete what is asked of him, but will usually slack and take his time in doing so.

+Yuudai's primary goal is to gain more renown for his clan and make his father proud of his deeds in life.
+Yuudai's other goal is to live long enough to be a Jounin, but with his rapidly declining health, that objective seems far out of his reach.
+Another goal that he hopes to accomplish (yes, even with the amazing odds stacked against him) is to become one of the Kiri no Shinobigatana Shichinin Shu. The Goal seems impossible as he is most likely going to die before his 23rd Birthday.
+Another Goal of his is to train under the Elusive Hakaisha, who holds Sannin status within the Village. He is an amazing swordsman and Yuudai feels that he could learn much from him. While he doesn't know much about him, he would be willing to serve him with his life, if given the chance to study beneath him.
