 He had returned to check on Discord after crossing paths with their mother, nudging the odd mare awake long enough to move her to a new location before telling her that she wasn't to leave until he returned. He couldn't have her just wandering around running into anything unwanted... Like any more members of their family... Not before he found them, at least; one in particular more than any others.
He wasn't entirely certain as to where to look first. He had not seen this member of his family since their last little reunion; the night their father had been knocked down a peg and it had been discovered that their mother had been knocked up a second time. Such a mistake... And now it had happened again.
His wings stretched out as he took to the sky, soaring across the black of night as he began his search. It could end one of several ways and he would simply hope that it would do so in a way that would most benefit him.

He had never stayed in one place too long after he'd left the area that his family called home. He was still disgusted with their choices and so long as they stayed away from him he could stay that way. Should they hunt him down .... Well that was an entirely different story.
Stretching his wings he shook a bit of dust off his coat and headed toward the fiver he knew was near. He could use a good bath. He was covered in dust and grim and god knew what else from his feeding. He refused to be covered in grime like his father. Even if the river was cold and bit at his leg.

So much darkness stretching on and on... It went on beneath him broken only by the glisten of a stream and a flash of something else; something bright. He had met few in his travels that combined pitch with the the eye-searing pink that had come from Diabetia. If this flash was nothing more than a distraction from his hunt he would simply have to make a meal of it... And wash up in the stream afterwards since it had so conveniently placed itself there.
He circled around once to bring himself closer to the ground, landing in a clearing not far from where the stream passed through the woods, quite close to where he'd seen the flash of color in the night. He pulled his wings tightly against his body, guarding himself as his ears turned to listen. If it was Tarnish and he'd been spotted first it would do him well to be on guard as there was no guarantee that he would be welcome anywhere near his b*****d brother.

The sound of something landing near him had not gone unnoticed. He prided himself on knowing his surroundings and being able to manipulate them how he wished to leave himself at the perfect advantage. Currently he had it. True whatever it was had the cover of the trees but he had the space of the river and open land on the other side of it.
The splash of pink against a dark form gave things way. "Taint..." The other's name was said with almost a sneer. He still wasn't entirely sure why he kept letting the other stallion live. So far Taint was only standing on that he had been useful so far every time their paths had crossed.

"Mm... So it was you down here." His smirk was evident in his voice even if it wouldn't be visible immediately. "I thought it might be... But the only way to find out was to land, of course. Really, brother, I'm disappointed. I don't get the same treatment any other member of our family would? You're not going to attack me first and ask questions later?"

He laughed softly. The sort that had sent Taint running often when they were far younger. He doubted it had the same effect now but he knew it woudl still be lodged deep in his psyche somewhere that it wasn't a good thing.
"I haven't asked questions yet." And he wasn't dumb enough to lodge himself into the trees with his sibling when he had open space out here.

"No, you haven't... Which I suppose means that I should wait here until you do, unless you'd rather I come down there." His smirk broadened slightly, pale fangs gleaming in the moonlight. "I've been meaning to find something to sink my teeth into... Perhaps I can simply come back at another time."

His brother was exasperating and others wondered why he disliked him. "What do you want." He wasn't going to beat around things. He wanted to be clean and he wasn't going to get his bath with his brother eying him.

"I can't want to simply converse with my dear, sweet brother?" He said as nicely as he could before his lips curled into a snarl of distaste. "Please, as if I would have come looking for you if I hadn't had something interesting to make light of..."
He took a step out of his 'safety', moving closer to the other stallion so that he could lower his voice as if the world itself was able to listen in on every word that fell from his mouth. "She's spawned again, Tarnish... They do say that the third time is the charm; better than the bastards, stronger than the son's of bitches... There are more of us out there; horrible wretches, no doubt."

He stretched a wing as he listened to his sibling. Taint knew him the best out of them all and the black male would know not to bother him for stupid things. He knew he would have issue taking down his brother but he wouldn't think twice about it if given the chance.
"...." He paused to digest that one before his sneer widened. "For how much she says she hates him she is willing enough to offer herself up to his cravings." The b***h. He should have killed her when he had the chance, he should have killed them both. "There are not more of us. There are more of them"

"Times change, it seems. The circumstances of our birthing seem to have no hold on things as they are now. We weren't wanted... Then came her experiments... And now?" His wings spread slightly for a moment and he moved them in the equivalent of a shrug before folding them back up, feathers rustling slightly as he snorted, shaking his head. "I am certain the little devils are everything that we weren't, everything that they weren't..."
A smirk curved his lips, traces of amusement and a bit of madness dancing in his eyes. "I have her little darling Discord right now. She seemed to think she was invincible... She now owes me. I still haven't decided what I want to do with that."

If the newest set was wanted then there would be a bit more trouble getting rid of them if the time came. They would get the training, they would be taught, they would most likely be warned. "They are probably everything they wanted ...." Which would mean he still had an edge. Plague wouldn't make the mistake again of training a son who could hurt him.
"Discord?" He hadn't paid attention to the later piles of spawn. He'd hoped that his attack on their mother would have prevented their births but that hadn't been the case. "It is only worth doing something with if she is worth keeping"

"Time will tell. She was still a bit round... They couldn't have been far from the basket which means there is still time. They might very well wind up killing each other; we almost did." And they probably would have had they been given more time alone and specific instructions not to at various points in time.
As the topic bounced back to Discord he found himself smirking again, tail flicking against his flanks. "Our youngest sister. She managed to survive whatever it was that left her mangled... That has to leave her good for something, even if it is just a bit of a traveling snack. I've always been better at judging brains than brawn... I'm afraid I drew the short blade of grass when the gift of strength was handed out." A bit of a lie. Although smaller than his brother he still had a good bit of muscle beneath his dark coat. There were just many better things to do with it than wind up broken.
