Pink pads lightly tapped the ground, searching for something in the distance the creature could sense joyfully. With dark nose to the ground, the silver dusted wolf quickened his pace, moving in his relief as the sight of his searching appeared before him. He paused, observed from a distance, taking in the different sensual pleasures it offered before he approached and touched the surface with a single paw. The water rippled pleasantly coercing him to slide directly in, uncaring and rather enjoying the feel of the liquid as it brushed along his fur, soaking him. The creek was thin, only a few feet deep, and his paws fiddled in the mire ignoring the odd slippery feel.

The water obsessed canine lifted his head, heaving a content sigh as he glanced skyward. It was midday, warm and sunny, but the creek was shadowed by a little canopy of pines which kept things nice and comfortable. The atmosphere of the entire area seemed lovely. The end of summer had stripped the land away from most of the new flowers, but there was still plenty of green still alive and thriving.

The only thing that became a factor as to why this little area was not perfect was the fact that Saeldur was alone. It had been much to long since he had seen another wolf, and even longer since he had found a companion in them. But things would change. The optimist thought so anyway, and even if that was not true, he understood that if waiting around wasn't working that eventually he would have to travel out of his little grove and venture out to find a real life. He wanted to prove himself, to make himself useful. But how could he do so alone?

Why was the heat bearing down on the wolf that had nothing to do with much of anything? The sky toned wolf shook off the flies that circled his head like hungry predators. He whimpered lightly and took a refreshing roll in the grass. His tail slipped under him and was crushed with a sharp yowl of pain.

"Shivu! Shivu! Did I cause pain to rip through your bones making your soul cry out for vengence?" the strange wolf yipped turning to look his tail in the eye. The wolf's tail was thick, but strangly did not have much fur on it at all. It looked like a python, a sacred animal in the wolf's two-toned eyes. The python wiggled and slipped to curl around one of it's master's hind legs.

"Shivu, no harm has come to you on my behalf. I am so happy," Taishan mused nosing his tail. Any other wolf that would have happen to come across the scene would write the blue and white wolf off as compleatly insane. The prayer beads on the wolf's thickly furred neck clattered together as he shook himself out. His tail lay in a normal position as he began to move. The wolf didn't seem to touch the ground with his inscense scented paws. Theprayer beads on his neck and back paw clattered together as if driving away the evil spirits of the air. The strange wolf laughed.

"What a day this may turn out to be, a date with destiny is what I need," he sighed prancing towards the sound of water. His tongue feeling a bit dry, Taishan stumbled across a small stream.

"Shining like crystal," he muttered before dipping his maw into the cool waters to drink. But he tasted more than water. Lifting his eyes where his tail was gazing, he saw a silver wolf.

"Destiny?" he gasped, berely lifting his head to appear uninterested.

Upon hearing the steps and the lap of a dark tongue, the silver canine pulled away from his silent musings, lifting his head to stare directly at the stranger who had fallen across his little haven. Instinct reacted before mind. Straight bristles of fur ruffled about his neck, rippling down his spine to the tip of his sopping tail which had risen from the water the moment his eyes had latched onto the deeper pelted wolf. Wide eyes stared, but were not disrupted by anger. Instead they flashed a shyness and anxiety. When was the last time he had come across another wolf? He couldn't recall.

It was a rather amusing sight to see. The silver wolf was puffed out like a bird after ruffling its feathers, surrounded by water, and his jaw was hung slightly open. In their silent moment together he took the chance to look over the stranger, and with his observation came fascination. The male was sky blue, fading to a darker aqua the closer to his head and thin lines interrupted the contours of his face, a deep blue, crimson red, and a subtle gold. The flower on his chest was a cute accessory, as was the strange marking on his side, but perhaps what interested the silver canine the most was the odd markings along his thin, leathery-looking tail. Saeldur's jaw slowly closed, noticing it had been hanging there.

"Ah..." he muttered, not finding anything to say immediately, "Ah, d-did you need anything?"

"I need not but to replinish myself, which I have done," Taishan sighed lifting his head and gazing deep into the aqua eyes of the other wolf. His tail wiggled at the other as if trying to snake over. Taishan felt a want, no a need, to go and stand beside the strange canine standing in the water without a care. He had a calming peace to him.

Taishan shook out his fur trying to break his tail's fixation. When it did not work, Taishan frowned mightly at the snake.

"What do you need of him?" he hissed at the appendage. The limb merely wiggled again in responce. Taishan sighed, ears drouping. He turned his two-toned eyes to the silver beauty.

"May you be destiny? He has given to you his affection," Taishan called out in his deep bell-like voice.

His question was answered punctually and for the most part the two shared the silence between them just staring at one another. While Saeldur had much to look at, he was sure the other male wasn't nearly as interested, knowing his coat couldn't nearly cast as much wonder as the sky-pelted male's. His paws shifted a few steps closer, not sensing any sort of hostility from the other male, and curious all the same, he felt eager to grow closer and inspect for what reason he had arrived, even though it seemed that question had just been answered.

He froze as the other male turned on his tail. Saeldur gave a thoughtful expression, lifting one brown well above the other, not understanding why it was he would do any such thing, unsure what sort of behavior this stranger had, but even not knowing, the strangeness of the situation didn't disturb him. It intrigued him further.
"Ah...he? Do you mean your tail?" he asked, attempting to gain some understanding who it was the possession of the affection had belonged to and seeing as he had just snapped at his own appendage, Saeldur could only guess that was the focus of the content of Taishan's statement. "I don't know about destiny, but maybe? I suppose anything is possible, huh?" He gave a friendly little smile, shrugging his shoulders, creating a few ripple in the water about his firm body.

"Yes. He is of me and yet he is not," Taishan explained in his whimsical manner. He stared at his own reflection for a moment or two before speaking again.

"All this world if of my and not. Like the water. It mirrors my every movment, yet when I attempt to mirror it," he slipped a paw into the water, "I always find that I cannot. Strange no?" He looked at the silver wolf with a calm gaze. He slid into the cool, brisk waters and made his way closer to the other wolf, Saeldur's reflection matching the water's movement.

"I am of sky, and you of water. I can mirror the sky while you cannot. But you can mirror the water..." Taishan explained motioning to Saeldur's relfection with his muzzle.

"I am called Taishan if you wish to know," Taishan sighed turning one side to face Saeldur. While one side held a sleeping creature, the other side held the same being but mutated beyond recongnition. Scars littered the other side where the blue wolf lived as a god's slave.

He stared at the stranger all the while, observing every little detail to his movement but paid more attention to his words, finding these the most intriguing aspect to him. They were spun like string, but a string that tied to something free-floating, something whimsical and lofty, like a kite whipping about in the sky.

"Hmmm...I don't know about that. Isn't it true that if the water is mirroring you, then when you try to mirror it, wouldn't you just be mirroring yourself. In a way you are mirroring the water. Not the water that reflects other things maybe, but the water that reflects you," he spoke softly, not sure if he had made any sense in his attempt to answer Taishan's question. He got distracted however as the wolf joined him in the water. Pulling back a step or two, Saeldur allowed him room, a natural reaction for someone who wasn't used to company.

"Oh, I don't know about that," he answered shyly. It was true Taishan mimicked the sky, his pelt displaying this finely, but Sealdur? Well, it was true the water reflected off his silver fur, giving it a ripped effect as he moved. Maybe this was what he had meant. And when he received a name he smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you Taishan, you may call me Saeldur," he answered immediately before taking a better look at the other male. He hadn't caught the other side of his body but that didn't matter anyway, what he could see was beautiful, and he had no reason to think anything of the wolf was disfiguring. Besides, as he had already come to the conclusion, it was this one's words that were proving to be the most fascinating aspect of who he was.
