Hey every1! I'm just starting to get back into my Personal Progress and I got the coolest idea for one of them. I'm gonna make some kimonos! One for each member of my family, which is 7 including myself. Oh wait, i'm gonna make 1 for my little dog too. I have all the fabrics, which would have cost about $300, but got for free from a friend that use to own a fabric store.
I got the pattern off of ebay for only $5.49 and recieved it with no problems!

So if any of u girls (or guys just for fun) want a cool idea for a 10 hour project and love or want to learn how to sew, consider this.

I made pajamas for one of mine, ut it takes a really long time. If you can do it, more power to you. I can't sew to save my life. redface

when i was little, i use to make my own little bean bags to toss around.... but that's as far as it went.... >.>
I have half of the material cut out and so far, from the begining... it has taken me 5 hours! Man, this is gonna be a while v.v

sytara lol i can't sew either xd but this is how i'm gonna learn biggrin This is how you're gonna learn?!! eek I had trouble making a skirt once and since then I haven't trusted my self with sewing for too long. I tried to make a dress once a few years back, but that was a complete disaster! My sister ended up doing most of it. That took her about a week's worth of work. If I were you, I'd make the Kimonos a personap project instead of a personal progress project. Those aren't supposed to take more than 15 hours, max(so says the manual, last I read it). If it takes you over ten hours to do one of them, make that your official project. Don't exceed 15 on all of them you'll exhast yourself. Please be careful. *worries*

it might just take 15 hours for this 1 caus it's my first 1.... but thext 1s will probably take less because i'm already done 1 before.

My mum made made a kimono for my birthday. Even if it takes a long time, often enough the feeling of accomplishment wins over. Plus it's fun to show off to your anime-crazed friends. ^___^- My mum and I are both seamstresses, though my mum definately has more mad skill than I. Maybe someday.....

I'm less then halfway done with my personal progress..... I know i know, i shoud get going on it cause my 18th b-day is next year in march sweatdrop
I'm not gonna do my kimonos 1 after the other.... i'm gonna space'm. Oh! and when i'm done with my 1st kimono, i'll post it and my little sis wearing it 3nodding I cant wait till it's done biggrin
