Hello, I know that Goth does not mean vampire, however, kids who are into "gothy" stuff may be more likely to be attracted to the vampire culture and try blood drinking. And "vampire" kids sometimes call themselves Goth. Anyway, I would like to know if any of you have dealt with a person who considers themselves a vampire and practices blood drinking- even a person who drinks their own blood. I'm not sure quite what I should ask, I just want to hear your stories and purhaps that will help. Thank you. -Llyn

Some people have called me a vampyre because I suck my cuts until they stop bleeding. I don't cut myself but if I get cut accidentally I suck on it until it stops bleeding because I feel it heals faster that way. Most of my friends do the same thing.
I consider myself more of a lycan. My interests, mannerisms, and such prove it so. I was never much for vampyrism.

Well, i never officially really "drank" my blood but i would sometimes suck it.
I used to cut myself, and usually if there was a large drop of blood that was coming fast, and i didn't want to get it on the rug i would lick it. Sometimes if there was a lot i would just lick my arm. Weird, sorry >_< If i get a cut by accident i still suck it. I also..erm..used to take my mom's rather large needles and get blood from my veins, and store it in little bottles. It was terribly hard to try and get blood from your own vein..so i got hardly any..just gave myself a lot of black n'blues and probably damaged my vein a bit.
To say the least when my parents found a vile of blood and stuff they were just a tad concerned. They had no idea what i was doing.
Thank God in Heaven i've been cut free for 2 years smile I still however enjoy the occasional taste of blood... xp

There is a syndrome that causes what some would call 'blood lust or thirst'. Renfield's syndrome. It's a disorder in humans.
The stories of vampires was started because of early cases of untreated diabeties. The symptoms were wild eyes, insanity, 'super' strength, bleeding gums, very pale skin, and hypersensitivity to light.
I have a slight case of renfield's syndrome, I have called myself a vampire for that reason. But I don't latch onto the nearest person to get blood. rolleyes It's just something I joke about. Some people I know have more severe cases of the syndrome. But they are mostly harmless.

There are also various occult paths to states that mirror the modern vampire. The "abilities" gained are all from possesion, trading personal freedom for power. You can be delivered from this, and after repentance and a good spiritual house cleaning by Jesus return to normal. Also there are " Psychic vampires" People who's presence seems to drain you on a spiritual level. Most of these people aren't conscious of this effect. I've known several in my life, and I can't say whether it's a spiritual affliction, or they were just annoying on a near superhuman level. They can drain the light out of a room, and the life outta you. You'll leave depressed, drained or tired, and they'll leave perky and feeling great. EVERY TIME YOU ARE NEAR THEM. Don't know what to make of that, other then it's observable and consistant.

If I get cut I suck the blood (quite interesting imo) but I don't cut myself on purpose. I don't believe in actually drinking blood and used to have doubts about licking a cut.

My boyfriend (who I shall remain nameless) and I used to cut our wrists.... we would do it untill we bled (duh.) The worst part was that we did at church.... I know what your thinking, but not in the sactuary, in the bathroom.... we made sure that we sucked each other's blood before it dripped onto the floor. One day Sunday after we were done for the hour he said that he was a vampire, weird hu? But that's what he said. He was up all night for a week and he stays locked in his closet for the whole day (which is a myth, vampires can be out in the sunlight, they don't turn to dust they saprkle like diamonds.) and he sharpened his teeth to resembled fangs and he used to bite raw things such as raw meat. (he didn't eat it, he just bit it.)But he started acting really strange, he never came back to church after that day so I called him and he said " Come with me..." he meant turn to vampireism, which I did for the whole year with him. Then my mom found out about the vampire in me, and she banned me from the kitchen and the office, so I didn't cut. I'm still in Vampireism, but more goth then anything, I still go to church, I'm still a christian, I don't cut anymore. Sadly one day when I forced him to come back to church he snuck off to the bathroom during the service and cut his wrist for one last time.... he bled to death.

I believe vampirism, as another person said above me, was symtoms of untreated diabetes. After reading that, I'm glad that I don't live in a time where most people believe in vampires. Diabetes runs in my family, and well, we would fit in the description. We have naturally pale skin, can feel our skin burn (we cover our shoulders...I got a bad sunburn once that turned my skin burgandy), and we are naturally missing two teeth (I have a half grown one though). We aren't vampires, which proves it probably were some people like us that started the whole myth.
Those Psychic vampires are just annoying people. They probably just take too much out of you because they are either too happy or too sad. Also, a lot of people are easy to figure out. You can get them to pay attention to you quite easily (for example, I was doing a report on Voltaire and used a poorly drawn diagram of the french government stabbing him to get their attention). I do it every single report I do in class. It is just perception of the people around you.
And ffdarkangel reveals she is a science nerd...

Random Question.... Isn't this supposed to be a CHRISTIAN guild? Yeah I admit I love vampires and all that crap... but does anyone care to bring up the point that drinking blood and/or eating meat with blood still in it is AGAINST THE BIBLE??? The bible clearly states it is forbidden.

The bible clearly states it is forbidden. You're right of course, it does say it's wrong in the Bible. But I would also say that if the only way you have at the moment to get a cut to stop is to put it in your mouth, God would understand. But that's not the point of this thread.
