Welcome one and all to ToC, whether you were invited or found this guild by chance we thank you for taking the time to look us over and become a member.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the ToC, allow us to explain. We are a group of indaviduals who partake in the joy of literate roleplay and wish to share the fun with the rest of Gaia. There is a lot more to experience with a more complex sentence and a detailed enviroment. That doesn't mean that we are Elitists and desire only those equal minded individuals to join our Guild.
Creativity and legible language is what we ask for -- along with a 50 word minimum post. Why a set standard for posting you ask? Simple: Not every member of this guild is at the same level of roleplaying and some folks have a hard time 'keeping up'. For these lower level of players, the 50 word minimum is a stretch whilst a six paragraph post is equivalent to a 26 mile run. Consider it the warm up for these people.
The more our newbies are exposed to the higher standard of roleplay the more advanced players are used to, the likelyhood that they will push themselves to those limits will increase. It was the way I learned, the way my best friend learned and the way, I am sure, the more advanced players learned as well. It is not a competition, but a challenge. The safer the enviroment, the more interested the newbies will become and believe me...soon enough a page and a half of tiny font won't be enough.
ToC is tailored to be ambitious, creative and relaxed. Newbie bashing is absolutely forbidden -- we want to encourage, NOT discourage people to try a more literate experience.
