It was another lazy end-of-summer day. Scarlet had grown weary of such days and wanted the spring rains back when she would jump around trying to dodge the drops. The sun warmed his back as he nommed on some rather bitter clover. He was rather fond of the bitter ones, unlike his mother.
"What kind of trouble can I make today," he enquired to himself as he blew on a flower. He figured wasp nests were out of the question, since he'd used up all the the stock he had complied. So what ever now?

Avery walked calmly as the brisk wind played with his mane of curls. Unlike his father, he didn't mind that it sometimes got in his way. There wasn't anything he could really do about it other than have them cut off so there was no use in grumbling about it. He gave a short yawn as he walked into the meadow, looking fro something to eat. He was glad the end of the summer was coming as things wouldn't be so hot or so dried up and dead.

Sweet looked up to see a regular stallion coming his way. Now this was what he was looking for. He chuckled to himself and slicked back into the forest. He happened to know of a fully loaded birds nest and a very nice launching pad for said nest. The only issue was getting the nest down.
His situation was easily remedied, however, as he found himself a very long stick with which to get it down. It fell with a soft flap onto the ground, eggs not harmed. He had to work quickly so as to avoid the mother coming back and wanting her babies back. And so he loaded his launching pad -a teeter totter deal- and aimed carefully.

Avery hadn't noticed the Usdia stallion sneaking off when he came into the meadow. His ears swiveled on top of his head but did not find anything to warn him of danger. The unsuspecting young stallion bent his head and began to munch on the grass as the breeze continued to play with his mane and tail.

Sweet had to shiver from his holding back maniacle laughter as he jumped on the opposite side of the launcher. With a thwack of wood and the rustle of twgs and leaves, the nest flew threw the air heading directly for Avery. Sweet immidiately launched himself that way to get a better view of his antics. Also to be noticed. What good was causing trouble if no one knew it was you?

Avery's ears twitched at the sound of rustling twigs and leaves and some kind of thud. He looked up just in time to get a face full of the nest. He jumped being startled at the sudden occurance and then cursed loudly, none to happy at being caught off guard. Quickly he looked about to see if anyone had seen him and he spotted what looked like a foal, atleast to him, and then scowled. "Why you little!!" he exclaimed as he fumed form embarassment.

Sweet stayed a safe distence away and said, "Oh, wow, what a threat," through his laughter. The perperation was worth it. He came to a stop and cantered in place. "It's not my fault you were so painfully unaware a half pint like me can catch you off gaurd," he chuckled and calmed himself. Flipping his mane out of his hair he turned to leave. He'd caused enough trouble here. With new vigor he would search for new victims.

Avery growled and trudged after the small one. "Where do you think your going? Your not getting off that easily you little pipsqueak! Didn't your parents teach you anything!" he yelled out, still thinking that who he was talking to was a foal and not a full grown adult stallion, despite his height. The others voice even told him that he was an adult but through his anger, his mind didn't register it.

Sweet shrugged. "Yeah, they taught me well. which is why your rancid breath, screeching voice, and half witted insults don't bother me that much." He smirked and turned to fully face the other stallion, disregarding the 'small' comments. "I'm sorry that you are so insucure that you have to reinstate your masculinity by yelling at others."

Avery huffed again clearly getting frustrated with this one. He had never come across anyone that talked to him in such a way as this. "I am not insecure about anything. You should expect such reactions when you throw things at others." he huffed again and tried to count in his head to calm himself down. He could make better comebacks if he was calm and able to think straight. No sense in getting all upset over someone so small.

"I don't care what the occasion, there is no need to shout," Sweet said with another smirk and bowed his head in mock submission. "However, smashing come back. I'm shaking, really I am!" He forced a shudder and laughed. "I guess I picked the wrong stallion to pick a fight with," he finished honestly, bowing his leave.

Avery huffed and stamped his foot unable to think of anything else to say. Instead of acting like a fool, he turned his back and started to head off to the other side of the meadow, far away from the small Soquili, whom he thought was only a foal.

Refusing to be bested and intent on making an a** of himself Sweet carried on. "I guess I'd have better luck picking a fight with one of those prissy flutter mares. At least they have half a brain and slightly more wit, even if said wit is easily bested." He shrugged and turned to make his leave as well. With any luck he'd pushed a red button, to be sure he carried on. "Or perhaps you have a bother who can return my remarks and make them sting, surely you can't be the smartest."

The last comment had hit a red button with Avery. He hadn't seen hide nor hair of his brother, Allegro, but he was sure that out of the two he was the smartest one if not the better looking. Not wanting to give anything away, the brown stallion turned and smirked. "And how would a small pip squeak like you know whether or not I have any siblings at all?" he asked. "And mares are easily bested no matter what breed they are. That is just how things are." he remarked. Oh, if his greatgrandmother heard him, he would get a scolding that would last an eternity.

"That was my point, stupid. A fight with a mare would be at least a more interesting fight. The face that you can't even understand an insult only served to prove my point." Sweet turned to the other stallion and smiled. "What's your name anyway?"
