He walked along the sidewalk, he was wearing fashionable and likely somewhat expensive clothing. A suit actually, his hair was smartly cut and carefully gelled, wire rimmed glasses adorned his face. He looked like a businessman off to work or he would if his height and the roundness of his face given him away as being much too young to be considering such things. His complexion was pale and clear with light freckles over his cheeks, although his height and features had given his age away the expression on his face was much like the suit and the glasses one much too old for his age.

Pausing near the door of the shop he looks up over it critically, the look of someone of reason that isn't sure they should actually enter such a place. After only a brief pause he walked up the steps and opened the door to the shop, looking inside as he did. Stepping inside he looked around with some curiosity. Vibrant green eyes study and intake the whole of the area.

Corbin's eyes wondered over his surroundings as his body moved of it's own accord. At least, that's how it seemed. Lately he'd been rather lethargic. Not having the drive to do much of anything. However, a force seemed to compel him to venture out today, for reasons unknown to even himself. He let out a deep sigh as he sat down on a bench outside a row of buildings. What was he doing here? That was the question that was running through his mind and he'd be damned if he wouldn't figure it out. It'd bug him to death 'til he did.

A sound caused Corbin's head to snap up suddenly. He eyed the man that was now standing in front of a building across the street from him. There was something about him though... Corbin blinked a couple of times as he study the man. "What the.." he muttered quietly, almost to himself. Though the person had a suit on and his hair was cut like that of an older person's...he looked young. Corbin wasn't sure of his age, but he didn't look like he should be wearing a suit.

((Asher is 13))

Upon entering the shop he hadn't seen anyone in the entrance, flickering his eyes over toward the window he noticed a few outside. He hoped no one his parents knew would find him in such a place, he wasn't sure if he could bare the squabbling.

Stepping over toward a shelf he scanned the items upon it. They were interesting to say the least, he now wondered if it was only imagination that had chased him in this direction or perhaps something more.

(( Okie, Corbin's 24, just so you know. I'm assuming the shop is Edward's. -nodnod- ))

Crobin raked his hands through his hair as he watched the boy enter the building. Something twitched inside of his brain. As if some force was pulling him towards the building. Coaxing him to enter it. He shook his head. "No..." He mumbled as he gripped at the collar of his coat. The place looked creepy as it was. If his mind, or whatever it was, was trying to get him to go in, there was no way it was happening.

He blinked his eyes as he saw the boy look out of the window. Was he...looking at him? Corbin wondered what a kid would be doing in a place like that. After all, he was afraid to step foot in it. He just knew that bad things came from there. He couldn't describe what if you asked him...but he knew somehow. He also knew that no matter how hard he resisted, he would eventually be pulled into the darkness that emanated from the building. At that thought Corbin's whole body shuttered.

((yeah it was >> sorry should have specified))

While the place was dark Asher was unaware of what may come out of it at least first hand knowledge. He had heard rumors of course ones that had brought him here in the first place. The building for now was quiet, and he glanced over his eyes noticing Corbin near the window, the man looked unwell but interested in either himself or where he had entered.

He wasn't sure if the man would come in to speak to him but despite the worry that he may be spotted if he lingered outside too long the young man went back to the door and stepped outside. Glancing down the street either way he noticed that it seemed pretty quiet except for him and the man that had walked over toward the shop he glances for a moment to the nearby Cathedral and then to the man again.

"Hello Sir, were you..." Asher paused, "looking for me?" There was some confusion in his voice as he did not recognize the man he spoke with.

Corbin backed up a bit as the door to the shop opened up. He groaned instantly, when the boy began to speak. The last thing he wanted to do was carry on a conversation with anyone, even a kid. He mumbled something incomprehensible as his eyes took on th at hallow look, he always used to shadow his true emotions.

"Why...were you in there." Corbin said as he looked up from the boy and to the shop's walls. A visible shudder running over his body. He began to laugh quietly, though he had absolutely no knowledge as to why he was doing so. It seemed that his mind just kept moving closer and closer to the edge.

Corbin shook his head, trying to clear the foggyness from his mind. Shoving his hands in his pockets he looked back down at the boy. He was awaiting an answer, though he didn't really care if he got one or not.

Asher studied the man a moment it seemed at least to him that the man clearly was not in control of all his facilities. "You are familiar with this place then?" Even as the shop loomed behind him he could feel a draw of mystery around the place, frightening but a draw none the less.

Before he answered the man's question he quirked a brow slightly, he seemed to be more then slightly out there but what if this was some sort of test. Or someone that Natasha had sent to check on him, his Nanny was not always the most intelligent and he could indeed see her sending some random man off the street to do such.

At the quiet laughter Asher was almost positive that he was indeed wrong about his first assumption. This man seemed to be unhinged some, "lets say curiosity for now, and as I pondered on before you are familiar with this place?"

He wondered if he would get an intelligent response or not...or if the man would do something quite unexpected. For the first time he wished that the street was at least slightly more inhabited at this time of the day.

Curiosity. Hah, curiosity would land this lad in a whole heap of trouble if he didn't start thinking things through. Corbin blinked as the question was asked of him. "I...know nothing of this store aside from the rumors of it. Though, very few seem to talk about it." Corbin's hand absently went up to the silver cross he wore around his neck and fiddled with it a bit.

There it was again. That pull. As if someone...or something...wanted him to desperately venture into the place. He stood his ground though. He'd fight this urge 'til he couldn't anymore. Though, he had no clue when that would be. There were times when his mind just didn't seem like his own..

His thoughts were back on the boy. He was shorter than Corbin had thought at first. Much younger looking up close. What WAS it about this boy. Corbin's pale green eyes took in the boy's clothing again. "Why...do you dress like that?" He asked, thinking it highly strange for someone so young to dress so mature like.

Asher glanced to the cross around Corbin's neck as he tugged upon it. The man seemed to not be only unhinged but clinging to religion as well, he had a feeling that from the man's current state it wasn't going so well. Glancing his bright green eyes up again and then to Corbin he answered after only a moment.

"I had a meeting with one of my tutors today, it pays to look your best," even as he answered Asher realized he really didn't own much else then suits. That really was not the man's business he decided.

"For someone that knows of only rumors you seem awfully interested. Have the rumors frightened you so much that you would not even enter such a place?"

The man had a look almost as if being haunted he realized...something he perhaps knew of too well.

((Small edit, changed Asher's age to a bit older he is now more around 15/16 he looks young however.))

Corbin cocked his head to the side at the boy's comments. He'd never had to look good for a...what was it he called it? A tutor? Whatever that was. His hands clutched at the cross tighter. It wasn't because of religious believes. God (hah, God, yeah right) only knew how nonreligious Corbin was.

The muscles in Corbin's jaw ticked as the boy pointed out that he was frightened. Corbin didn't like his emotions shown. "Shut up boy.." He muttered as he looked back to the store that loomed in front of them. "It's not that I'm scared. Cautious is more the word." He said as he looked back down at the boy. "You should be as well." Corbin smirked as he finished saying the last comment.

Asher watched the man a long moment with eyes far older then they should be, quirking a brow he smiled faintly. "Of course one should be, especially if the rumors told of this place be true. But if one is too cautious they will never learn now will they. They will sit outside and waste away...perhaps slightly drive themselves insane."

His green eyes flickered over Corbin as he spoke, "how long good saer have you been sitting here...waiting, watching, and being drawn?" Asher's eyes went down to watch Corbin's hand a moment clutch the cross, "it should also be noted that not all beasts that crawl through the night would fear your little symbol. For they may not even believe of the dead man upon the cross enough to care."

He wasn't exactly sure where he was going with this but the other man and his frantic speech had drawn his attention to say the least.

"That is true, I suppose." Corbin said with a raised eyebrow. The boy was wise for his age, whatever it was. "Though, can someone who is already insane be drove even deeper into the abyss?" He asked as his eyes roved over the lad. "The pull..." Corbin muttered as he thought about what to say. "Not long...not long at all actually. Of course, I heard the rumors long before I felt the pull."

Corbin cocked his head to the side again and couldn't help but laugh. "You think I believe in God?" He laughed again. Like it was the funniest thing Corbin had heard in his long life. "Just because I clutch at an object that obviously had some meaning to you at one point in time does not mean I believe in your...god..." He bit his lower lip, a nervous habit that seemed to follow him everywhere, no matter what.

"No, I don't believe in the man that may or may not have died hanging on the cross. This necklace...it was given to me by a loved one..." His voice trailed off as he had to fight to hold back tears. He wouldn't cry. He couldn't. He bit down on his tongue forcing himself to not shed any tears.
