My mom works with a company that does ticketing sales and housing packages for the Olympics, and so when it's time for the games, she has to travel there to do her work. I opted not to go to Beijing but hopefully I'll get to go to Vancouver for the winter olympics, and then London for 2012
So I've been watching mens and women's soccer, swimming, basketball, gymnastics, and equestrian events, plus anything else that just happens to be there.
What about you guys? Any favorite events?

Yeaaaah! I've been into the volleyball events lately. Even though I have never had any connection to them, I am rooting for Venezuela... Odd.
And rowing. Belarus was creaming the other teams in women's singles.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I couldn't figure out where my thread had been moved to. Haha.
Volleyball I had watched earlier on Saturday I believe. I'm not up with all the terminology but I was watching the one where there were two people on a team.
Volleyball is interesting in my school. There's no actual team, but we take it VERY seriously in gym class, and at pep rallies. Volleyball is a big deal and people (including myself xD) get competitive, but still, no real team. xD

Ahhh, the Men's Beach Volleyball, with... Rogers and Dalhauser against Latvia?
Oh wow. There's only a girl's volleyball team at our school, but unlike yours, we don't take it too seriously. Just the teacher/student match at the end of the year.

Yeah and a girl team before that, USA vs. Ned.
Oh and an update for all who didn't hear or don't care:
MEN'S FREESTYLE SWIMMING RELAY TAKES GOLD AND OWNS FRANCE UP THE a**!

WHOOT!
I dunno why.... but I am rooting for any other team than USA. I dunno why.
As Barack Obama said,"It's time for a change."
I guess we could use some humility.

Well, that win was not only fantastically earned, but DESERVED because the French were talking some serious smack about the USA team, who are nothing but solid competitors, and just being arrogant for no real reason. So the fact that USA, the underdog in the meet, came out and put the French in their place in the last leg of the race is ******** in my own opinion. x]

That was awesome last night! Did you see the french guys's faces they were like 'Holy crap I thought we were going to beat them!' only in french! That was truly epic. Then Phelps's face was amazing too. He was screaming and all that good stuff.

He looked like a caveman. Though that would have been me if something like that happened to me, ahaha.
And I just thoroughly enjoy the fact that Alain Bernard looks like a complete jackass in front of his country now. That should teach everyone a lesson. Don't talk s**t and then get your a** owned by the very people you talk s**t about.

I don't really pick any one country and always root for them. I just find people to root for based on the specific event I'm watching. But for men's swimming, this go round I look to the US.

I genreally want the USA to win, but there are particular people I like in certain events.
Last nights gymnastics was interesting. I was very pleasantly suprised. I didn't believe we could medal but we di!

Yeah I was happy to see us medal in men's gymnastics. Especially after our women's team had some problems.

I'd love to take you home with me and tuck you into bed, I'd love to see what makes you tick inside your pretty head.I'm on-and-off watching the Olympics. Oh, I'd love to get out of America just once.. It would have been incredible to see that incredible drum show in person. The girls gymnastics was pretty incredible. I'm still in awe that the majority of them are 16.. And can still do so well. o: I'd love to hear you laugh tonight, I'd love to hear you weep. I'd love to listen to you while you're screaming in your sleep.

I love watching gymnastics, the US men's team was pretty astounding on high bars this year. Diving is cool too, i have a major crush on sasha klein on the german team.
