From what I know, it is basically gatherings of modern Pagans to celebrate who and what they are and raise community awareness about modern Paganism. They're held in various cities across the country and they have a website. I bet you'll find it if you google it. I don't know the URL offhand. =)

eric_draven156 why cant people be proud of what they are without having to let everyone else know? its cool if your proud but come on... thats like the kid with ice cream dancing in front of the kid without ice cream. Why can't people do something that is fun and slightly educational without an a** putting it down? And within our own community too.
Pagan Pride Days are fun. There are workshops - for kids and adults, entertainment - like plays, sometimes vedors, food, enjoyable conversation, and sometimes a ritual.
Your analogy about the kid with ice cream makes so much not'sense, it isn't even funny. You obviously have never been to one.
Pagan Pride day is a day for people who don't know what paganism is, to come learn. To give our communities good P.R. so maybe we can get better light to the general populas of the world. And for those who do know, it's to meet other people from the local community, and possible learn as well, from the workshops.
It's usually, very educational. And always fun.

Agrees!!! Pagan pride days are awesome, they allow you to attend workshops that you normally would not get a chance to attend, also I love learning from other people in the area. You see different styles of rituals and learn about other peoples traditions. Pagan pride days are amazing!!

KougerKat: Calling someone an a** because their opinion differs from yours is inappropriate. Eric: Actually, that would be a simile, since you used like.
Personally, I think Pagans deserve a pride day. I mean, if Christians have Meet You at the Pole (I was SO pissed off when they did that at my school last month) then we should be able to educate others about our religion. However, my Language Arts teacher went with his kids to the festival in our area (he's agnostic, I think) and he said it was boring. Ah well.

I apologize. Calling him an a** was wrong on my part. I was just in a really bad mood, and it came out here.
Eric- As for maturity, I never said I was more mature than you, or anyone for that matter. So where are you even going with that comment?
And I didn't say that the little sentence was funny. I didn't say anything close to that.

If other religions can have pride days then why can't paganism? ::pounds fist on table:: damnit. I'm sick of 'someone' always getting a bug up their a** when someone wants to celebrate something. They're all like 'I dont' care if you are one, just dont' do it around me' or 'I dont' care if you are one, I just dont' wanna here about it' Come on people, how ignorant can you get. I believe everyone should havethe ability to boast and be proud of what their are. No matter what it is ((as long as it doesn't involve killing 'innocent' people. Emphasis on innoce stressed dont' ask, long story)) And if your one of those ignorant asses who's all like 'well I dont' wanna deal with it' Then you know what, stay home or go do something else to keep yourself occupied and wait for a pride day YOU happen to take part in or like. geez; it's like all those people that took christmas out of schools and s**t. I mean, I'm not christian by any means. But having a 'christmas' tree there and those cute little christmas plays that we put on when we were children. Their cute, and now we can't have them because someone ahd to get a bug up their a** and complain. -_-; ignorant people irritate me. ::shakes head:: People all around the world are different. GET USED TO IT!!!!! DEAL WITH IT!!!! ~Asha

Naomi, my dear sweet sister. Your last set of remarks got me wondering whether if your really wanting to be proud of your religion or if you're just wanting to boast that you're a pagan. Please, PLEASE keep in mind that this is still a secret religion. They still kill witches. Be proud, yes, brag if you must, but keep it all within the boundaries of the pagan alliances. Trust noone.

Quite right! If everyone could just accept the fact that everyone is different, and we all have different opinions, and- man, I'm getting all riled up, lol, I could go on for hours about this. But I agree with most of what you said, we- nay, anyone should be allowd to be proud to be (insert religion here) without SOMEONE getting offended. Because someone is ALWAYS going to get offended, but the people so easily offended are the ignorant ones. I'll stop there, lol.
