I'm toying with the idea of making a campaign with the primary purpose of allowing players to battle each other. There will be a story etc. but it's basically just a justification/explanation for players to be able to whomp each other without worrying about dying.

Simple sketch of the plot: 2 dragons have created a mini world on the outer plan of the Beastlands. A sphere, miles in the sky with it's own gravity, islands out of a small sea. The Dragons cast a Planar Binding, "Summon Champion" spell. Depending on the strength of the spell they use, adventurers of different levels, parties of adventurers or small battalions of military are summoned to their mini world. The summoned champions are tested in various skills, mostly combat, for whatever purposes the Dragons have. Once the adventurers have fulfilled the task, they are given the option to return or stay longer and fulfill more testing. A number of different environments exist for individuals or parties to battle on.

Basically, we can make characters of whatever level and fight against each other. Exp can be gained using character level for ECL level, Dragons would keep everyone alive with magic, and treasure rewards can be requested for victories or a character can request a treasure (weapons, armor, magic items, etc) after battles. Some sort of reward point system could be established to you could get items even if you lose a fight.

We'd have to assemble and post character sheets. We'd have to design and agree on battlefield layouts. we'd have to kick each other's butts and have fun doing it.

Anyone interested in setting up single, PVP games? Basically this would be a great method of testing character setups. Lets say you think you've got an awesome level 5 character build, you get to try it out against the creativity of the other people here.
