So today while we were out shopping my brother asked if we could stop at Petsmart so he could get some fish. At the store he pick out four small comet gold fish, which are proving to be some of the stupidest fish we've ever owned, and I started thinking about all the pets I've had in my life time. Then I realized I've had quite a few, 2 scorpions, a snake, 3 dogs, 3 cats, plenty of fish, and much more. So what kind of pets have you had? Do you still have them? Do you have allergies or are you just a hateful person when it comes to all things cute and fluffy?
Edit: The goldfish are dead, man I hate goldfish.

I love animals! I've had five dogs, turtles, fish, and a guinea pig (for a short time- I couldn't keep it because of the dog). Right now I just have one super sweet (but not very smart) black kitty named Clarabell. I keep bugging my fiancé to get me a second cat (we're allowed two in the apartment), but we'd have to pay the office $200, and we don't have that right now. One day (when we eventually get a house), I'd love to get a few more cats, a dog, and an angora bunny or two.
I'm perfectly happy with my kitty, though! I love her like a daughter, and she follows me around like she's attached to me; she sleeps on my legs at night, she loves napping on my lap, and she loves when I pick her up and give her hugs (which is funny because she hates getting picked up by anyone else).

Cats are like that. People say that cats arn't like dogs and don't get attached to one person but it isn't true. I had a cat that wouldn't allow anyone near him but me and would love up on me constently and when I had to leave him with my dad and move he ran away shortly after... My mom wouldn't let me take him with us ;_;

You guys are lucky, I have two rescue cats that view me as nothing more than the 'food bringer'. When ever they get mad at me for somthing they tear up my house plant. Why can't they be cute like my first kitty! gonk

Really, I guess it depends on the animal. I had a dog that was completely indifferent and only ever wanted attention so you could feed him or let him outside. He wasn't a bad dog, he just wasn't at all affectionate. That dog was more like a typical cat, and my loving cat is more like a typical dog. xd

Merily Really, I guess it depends on the animal. I had a dog that was completely indifferent and only ever wanted attention so you could feed him or let him outside. He wasn't a bad dog, he just wasn't at all affectionate. That dog was more like a typical cat, and my loving cat is more like a typical dog. xd How cute, my first cat was like that. You're right though, he was such a sweety that after he went off to the big cat tree in the sky I just assumed that all cats were like that and got in over my head.

I have two dogs,
One is a pitbull sharpei mix and he is my BABY.

I swear I love that dog more then my last boyfriend...
He's a handsome dog but BIG,He is about 76 pounds and comes up to my hip.
He was hit and lived on the streets before we got him,Sadly he has never fully gotten over it and doesn't do well with other animals besides the ones we had before he came into our house.If only people knew he was a big baby. emo
My roommates dog is the DEVIL I hate that dog!He whines and barks all the time,He bugs you,He runs off,And doesn't do anything but sit all day!
...
So yeah those are my pets I did have a turtle before I moved...But he died on the way here. ;

(been a while since I've been on, sorry work and all that)
Actully I have a pet lizard at home, but I also take care of the family dogs (two medium size dogs) and the family cat, plus the outdoor fish, (plain old Comet goldfish) I've had them living about 3 year now and they're getting pretty big, we have a better survivial rate now that we have water lilies out there. My cat is soo sweet when she's not driving me crazy, She's been verly affectionate this summer since I've been gone most of the time. She's been sleeping on my backpack since she knows I often take it with me for longs trips... to bad now I'm taking suitcases for my work.
I've had a number of pets, a guiney pig for 9 years, a hamster for 2 (I had to put her down since she had cancer that was sucking the life from her) a parekett, several fish, (which lived healthy lives till my dad helpd clean the tanks and boiled or stuned them to death) the current cat, dogs, and befor them a dog, and another cat which lived full lives. Oh yeah and my current baby, my lizard that I've cared for since she hatched, she is soo cute, sort of like a little dinosaur (no relation but still cute)
@Pollack Sounds like your friends dogs needs more decipline
