Russia does this all the time. They need to break the habit a little. Especially since Georgia is a western ally. I can't say too much on the net about it though.

i knew something was going on but dont really know much about it. in fact the extent of my knowledge is what my russian friend said on facebook: "Russian tanks in Ossetia? We did it for the lulz!"

yeah I think they are fighting over south ossetia which is an area inside Georgia... surely the Russians have got enough bloody land

Having read numerous news stories about it, I've concluded that every side involved is attempting to spin it in some way that puts the blame on the other party.
Meanwhile, dozens of people are killed.
