And Stephenie said that she never said that a vampire couldn't get a human pregnant. She said that a female vampire couldn't get pregnant, but said nothing about a human. Apparently, we were all putting words in her mouth... So, Stephenie technically didn't go back on what she said.

That's great, except that she's ignored all the laws of Biology and Chemistry.
First off, vampires are dead. There's just no getting around it; you're dead, so you don't produce any body fluid. Oh my God, SPERM is BODY FLUID? I HAD NO IDEA.
Second of all, it was a stupid concept in the first place and it's a bastardization of all her previous canon.
Third, your post should be in white text for delicious spoilers.

Um... she's a fictional writer. There are no laws. Having a vampire in the first place is "ignoring all the laws of Biology and Chemistry."
I was simply stating that we all thought that she went back on what she said when in fact, she didn't.
And who knows, maybe vampire venom is more than something to kill. I mean it did fix Bella after that horrifying birth process.
[[Sorry, I'll fix that.]]

Typical Meyer. Trying to wriggle her way out of logic's grasp. It bugs me how she's all "Oh, readers? Pssh, I don't care much about them anyways. Whatev!"
Yes, I can say that technically she didn't say that. No, that doesn't excuse Meyer from not making sense. I can accept that Meyer said male vampires are able to impregnant humans. Now how exactly did that work? We, the readers, don't know. Being a fictional writer doesn't give you this free pass to do whatever the hell you want. Next we'll find that Jacob can fly and Edward can morph into a dragonfly. Now, are you going to say that that's illogical? Why is that illogical? Because it doesn't make sense? And how do vampires defy the laws of Biology and Chemistry? That's like saying some underwater creature that we human's haven't learned much about defy the laws of Biology and Chemistry. Our scientific laws are based on what we have seen and researched and are constantly being changed and challenged.

Oh silly silly Steph, you card!
While I can fully accept vampires (I do make an exception for the sexy, hell yes).
What BUGS me is that she seems to have CONVENIENTLY forgotten about those other, oh...THREE books she's written.
"WUT? WUT? I HAS OTHER BOOKS WHOSE CANON I NEED TO FOLLOW? OHMYCARLISLE."
Yes, you silly fop. At least keep the dream alive. It honestly felt like she was grasping at straws with this last book.

It isn't her problem that the book didin't make sense. She just wanted to write it. It's fictional piece, it's fake, it's not real. There are no rules to follow. If you didn't like Bella's pregnancy, then whatever, that's your thing. All that I was trying to get across was that she didn't go back on what she said. So honestly, I don't give a crap if you liked what happened in the book or not. It happened, and nothing's going to change that.

It's not the freaking AUTHOR's fault her books didn't make sense.
Surely you jest. Hohoho, for you have amused me.Wikipedia The identifying traits of fantasy are the inclusion of fantastic elements in a self-coherent ( internally consistent) setting. Within such a structure, any location of the fantastical element is possible: it may be hidden in, or leak into the apparently real world setting, it may draw the characters into a world with such elements, or it may occur entirely in a fantasy world setting, where such elements are part of the world. Within a given work, the elements must not only obey rules, but for plot reasons, must also contain limits to allow both the heroes and the villains means to fight; magical elements must come with prices, or the story would become unstructured. Saying that "it's fiction" or "it's fantasy" is useless. Now saying, Meyer can't write that well enough to justify her own creations and universe therefore nothing is able to make sense anyways is a valid argument.

Actually, I thought the book progressed farely well. There were a little things that confused me, I still don't grasp how they can get it up anyway, but at least we now know that vampires have a sex drive to reproduce. but I've come to my own logic of vampire sperm being there.
But it could also be that I've read some really bad authors that have no regard for their fans. *cough*LaurellKHamilton*cough*
That's an author that doesn't care about anything except what she wants.

That's an author that doesn't care about anything except what she wants. I still don't get why vampire's can even do that. I mean, they have venom to turn people into vampires. That should be their reproductive process. How does the sex thing fit in other than to indulge SMeyer's characters with a baby-darling-sweetcheeks? =/
WHERE ARE THE EXPLINATIONS, SMEYER!? gonk
