first off, I'd like to say this is a repost of a topic I posted in the "official" musician's forum, I figured some of you may be boycotting that place
right, so I used the multitrack recorder I just got to do the rough draft of this song.
I like it and I want to go further with it, but I can't tell what else I should do.. I can't write a good bass line since my bass guitar is on lone. I end up just using root notes whenever I do a bass line on keys...
but most importantly I can't think of a good vocal melody that fits with it.
any help?

The guitar sounds sloppy at points.
I think the drums need to sound more... fulfilling. Or another instrument needs to be added. It sounds empty. Maybe a reverb effect thing on the drums?
Otherwise, I liked it, especially the part where the flangey-effect came in on the guitar. Those were awesome. XD

The lead guitar tone is lacking in the beginning, so you got the recorder to work, did you?

DolphinizedTuna The lead guitar tone is lacking in the beginning, so you got the recorder to work, did you? yeah, I figured out I was just supposed to press record and play at the same time. but I am having a problem with the fact that when you delete a track it doesn't free up any space on the flash. I quess I could just get one with more memory. well how should I adjust EQ?

The Best Color The guitar sounds sloppy at points. this is true, only because the recorder doesn't erase the old track when you re-record something, so it eats up space pretty fast, I did all of the insturments in one take.

To get free the memory up you have to go into the memory options and hit "delete unused data" or something like that. and I think it sounds like you used a bridge pickup, it's rather harsh on the ears, do you have anything p90 or single coil neck/mid available to record with?

It's my friend's guitar. it's a cheap guitar but the config is SSS. I did use my tube preamp and an EQ. guitar>distortion>EQ>preamp(compression)>recorder. I was actually thinking the rhythm guitar had too much harshness. I think I need an actual compression pedal, the preamp isn't reducing clip enough.

Well, don't know much with the tekkie stuff, but sounded great to me. Maybe a little more from the drums, though.

Everything is fine except sometimes sloppy playing and the lead tone I agree does not sound very good.... very whiny and nasally... but too nasally for it too sound good... it sounds fine during the chorus though.
