 As summer was fading fast towards fall the land took on a new look. Everywhere things grew and died in all living things. Leaves were preparing their decent to the ground and water rushed along till the time it would completely freeze over. Among this natural change was a soquili now grown into a mare that was seeing life for the first time in a new light. There wasn't curiosity nor fear lying within her heart, just a simple understanding of everything around her. Feelings change as do emotions in a youth's life letting maturity open that new hidden door.
So was Kunai's life changing along with the season's exit letting her with new thoughts that once confused her. Feeling deep affection for her teachers left her breathless and unsettled but she was dealing with it in her own pace. Moving with a smooth gait she cantered toward a stream craning her head downward to drink fully. Closing her eyes she pondered things quenching her thirst wondering what would be bestowed upon her now that she was able to hold her own. Sasuke wasn't near her this time so if something were to rear its ugly head once more, this would be her fight.

The mother nature is going through her another yearly transition from summer to autumn and it didn't go by unnoticed by the occupants on the earth. The brown kalona is already up and about, hunting for his breakfast without making any sounds at all. He have grown from a loud and reckless foal to a silent killer that provides no mercy to anything that gets in his path, including his own family. His bright neon wings didn't dim over the time like he hoped for but he used it to his advantage like distracting the prey by blinding them during the daytime by using the sunlight and his wings. A old but familiar scent reached to his nostrils while he was stalking a full-grown bison and he moved off into the direction of Kunai soundlessly.
All of the creatures that was near Kawaran scattered away from him, fleeing for their lives while the kalona didn't even blink at that since it is a normal thing in his daily life. He moves toward the shadows, knowing that it won't hide him fully while he watches a familiar soquili quenching her thirst. His blank deep blue eyes surveys the situation as he moves from one patch of shadows to other swiftly, almost like he was a brown and green blur. Only sound that was being made is the whisper of the breeze caused by Kawaran's body as he move from one patch of shadow to other, observing his old prey from different angle. "My my...." He finally spoke in soft and seductive voice that he used for female soquili prey.
"Remember Death?" Kawaran says as he continues to move around in the shadows, not giving away his exact location. He is confident that he will get this female for once and all because she eluded him with the assistance of an annoying angeni but there is no sign of him anywhere. His blue eyes looks directly at Kunai's face as he is right in front of her but in the shadows and a small evil smile appears on his face. "Meal time..." He whispers to himself as he tries not to blow his cover.

As she brought her head upwards his voice was like a stinging needle that struck her senses. Her withers flinched momentarily as the ninja sought the location of her predator. She had trained with the best in her youth and perhaps Sasuke had rubbed off on her a bit. Standing smoothly though she stood her ground ready to strike he who taunted and tried to unravel the cautious mare. Though she had no wings her spirit was none the less brighter as she waited for him to make a mistake. Those that were impatient always gave themselves away after a time. She stood somber yet alert nosing into her scrolls for a loose kunai which she pulled back up with her gripping it in her teeth.
"Death is but a fleeting word to those that believe it." she returned his statement with merely a flick oh her ear picking up movement nearing toward her. Fear was nothing and never sat in a ninja's heart. For they carried no emotion and always thought out things before they were executed.

"Death is part of the life and will always be lurking in the corner of everybody's minds whenever they like it or not." Kawaran calls out to Kunai as he moves almost like a blur to the position right next to her while whispering against her cheek, "You are just a walking dinner for any one of us." He moves soundlessly and swiftly back to the shadows while moving from one position to other. "I can sense your body taunt and the way you held that thing in your mouth like a protection." He smoothly says as a glimmer of his pearly white fangs could be seen in the shadows.
Kawaran is pleased to see that she is tense and poised to fight which provide him with a challenge to take her down while she have the sharp weapon clenched between her teeth. Many different possible outcomes played in Kawaran's head as he finally stopped shifting from one place to other and is now standing directly behind her in striking range. But all of those outcomes came to him dining on her corpse in the end so Kawaran felt more confident with that. "Come..." He purrs as he continues to grin widely at her. He couldn't wait to feel his fangs sinking into the meat and the coppery taste of blood exploding in his mouth, drenching his never-ending thirst.

This was a game and a dangerous one that Kunai somehow had stepped within but she was not at all intimidated by his callous words. Sasuke had been such a hard a** on Kunai that she learned how to handle fear and rejection quite well. It always seemed no matter how well she partook within something it was never good enough. Thus why her feelings toward a goal had become hardcore and enabled her to face danger on an easier level.
"You still think me a foal do you. Naive and full of fear as your types care to see my kind as. A merciless meal to sate and quell your hunger. Heh I'm not here to amuse you... not in the least." She relaxed a bit studying the shadows still gripping her weapon for the right opportunity. In her mind's eye when he finally slipped up that would be her goal. His speeches were leading her closer to where he hid thinking the advantage was his. Whereas she had her plot in motion simply waiting. She could move fleet on foot if she wanted so her fears weren't recognized if there were any.
"Besides there are more important issues to deal with right now. Farewell."
She raised her head upwards tall and proud then began walking slowly off to draw him out. Her one trained eye working simultaneously with her hearing for him to remotely move from his location. She was ready for him.

Kawaran tries not to purr in anticipation as he constantly moves from one spot to other to keep his location hidden and it will be difficult for anybody to pinpoint his exact location. "Do I think you are like a foal.. naive and full of fear?" He questioned with a soft voice and a malicious laughter fills the air. "Naive.. perhaps but full of the fear...." He pauses as he smirks widely at his prey. "I could sense the fear deep inside your beating heart." He smoothly calls out as he eyes his prey.
The kalona smirked as he could spot the ploy of pulling him out of the hiding but he almost blew it by stepping on a twig but he immediately moved to other patch of the shadow which is more conveniently closer to Kunai with just whisper of wind tattling that he moved from one spot to other. "Do you think I am feeble-mind stallion? the one that will lunge forward just because you tried the reverse psychology on me?" Kawaran scathingly says as he could see that capturing this prey will be very challenging for him and he will have to employ all of the tactics he learned from Windflame.

Kunai trembled only for a moment more before she narrowed her eyes in irritation. Simply put as things had played out before she heard her mentor's harsh words in her mind.
You know why this happened runt? Because you weren't careful nor cautious. You almost got killed if I wouldn't of been there to save you. Keep in mind I won't always be there to bail you out next time.
She thought deeply to herself, No sensei you're not. This is my battle though. You've taught me so much and I thank you and Naruto. Now I'll hold my own... because I am a ninja like you both.
Hearing his movement she waited for him to emerge while training her senses to his motives and objectives currently. She moved slowly in anticipation knowing full well what his intent was. As a foal she had been naive, but as an adult with her sensei's training she had mastered her skills very well with even rude assumptions from Sasuke. All in the line of making her tough toward any given situation.
"Feeble-minded? No I think you are moronic actually. You may have grown out of your childish form but your mind is still undeveloped and capable of its desires. I have no more desire to hear your ploys and taunts rather then I used to" she hissed moving still slowly listening quietly. At first he had brought back that nightmare but now she was actually growing old of this cat and mouse game.

Kawaran smirks triumphantly when he spots a tremor going through Kunai's body and he is getting quite bored of cat and mouse game that is going on right now. His throat feels quite dry and the lust of the blood is returning to him with a huge force behind it. A slow crazy smile appear on his lips as he positions himself behind Kunai, waiting for the right moment to attack her and snap the spine before she gets a chance to react.
"Your words bores me and your insults is nothing.." Kawaran yawns then he suddenly tries to lunge forward, attacking Kunai from behind while his deadly fangs is positioned to sink into her neck and snap her neck.

The mare shifted her weight as the quietness stung her senses like a wild bumble bee. She knew he had kept his cover till the point his blood lust couldn't sate his longing to rip her in shreds in amusement. Kalona weren't subtle but skinwalkers feasted on a deeper appetite. This one though had grown and matured with an equal intensity. Sasuke wasn't to be her savior, she knew this well. Once again it cooed in a selfish yet dangerous rouse- attack or become a memory.
As he lunged with furious grace with death as his alibi, the mare rose to her hind legs thrashing outward, her eyes seething in red crimson. She'd told him to leave her alone and still he persisted. Kicking outward she hoped to gain an upper hand even though her size was dwarfed by his own. Blood was pulsating toward her mind and heart.
Protect and live for others are counting on you.
She screamed furiously now forgetting her teachings of her favored teachers. There was no more talk nor forgiveness. Death whispered lightly as if a tease in her ears. Something of a blackness that shivered within her deafening soul was more of a warning then everything she knew from her youth.
Run Kunai. Flee.
Her mind was panicking as she grasped for reality snorting with agitated voices. It was when his teeth grabbed her shoulder that she was painfully aware this was impossible.
"No! No I won't be your victim b*****d!" she cursed in pain as her form shook free past him. Pulling back she felt the warm pulsating feeling of welling blood through the torn flesh. Closing her eyes she thought hard upon her next move, perhaps her last if she kept being this damn foolish.

 He had been watching the other two for quite some time now, having run into them the instant the wind had let him taste the scent of blood in the air. Instincts hit him as it forced him to head towards the area filled with the smell of blood... Time passed slowly as he watched the mare, noting her state of dress.
Perhaps, if he saved her, she could give him answers to many questions. She bore the Konoha headband, and as thus, though he did not recognize her, she could help him.
His eyes darted to glance at the male, who impressed even Itachi. Where had that child learned such fluidity? It would have been familiar, had he not noticed the 'signal'.
Ah... so that's where the blood scent had come from. The mare had barely managed to avoid the stallion... He wondered if he should continue hesitating; the allure of the smell of blood was itching his sides, though he held his stance.
Indeed, it did not help that his blood was so contradictory...

Kawaran tries not to grunt as her hind hoofs collides with his shoulder but he managed to sink his fangs in her shoulder which means he missed his mark. Growling to himself mentally, Kawaran positions himself when Kunai manages to flee but the blood scent is strong in the air and almost drove him crazy because he haven't ate for two days so he is ravenous. "Victim? more like my meal... you should feel honored that I chose to chase you down to dine on your delicious flesh and drink your blood." He purrs in almost seductive manner.
The half kalona twitches when he realizes that they have a spectator watching them but he will deal with that annoying spectator after he catch this pesky meat and eat his fill. "Just stay still, I will make sure your death is quick and.. possibly painless." A twisted smile revealing fangs that is covered with Kunai's blood. He runs his pink tongue across his bloodied fangs and makes a horse-equalivant sound to purring. "Your blood is so delicious.." He murmurs as he suddenly makes another move, attacking her from other side.

Kunai moved as her feet would carry her but that wound was a crutch in fleeing though he somehow caught her in the side once more knocking the wind out of her. Kunai's side and shoulder were burning from whatever he had last feasted on. Perhaps poison was his forte that he delighted in she pondered. Narrowing her eyes the blue mare skidded to a halt ignoring her senses. She smelled the watcher but cared not to investigate rather she face on this damn demon here and now.
"It may be delicious to you monster... but it is my own. It is not for your to relish upon for my blood is far unworthy to your palate then you believe." She snorted pawing the ground feeling her headband loosening. Only once hand before had it ever untied itself to litter the ground in her embarrassment.
There was no time to worry about the situation concerning her embarrassment now.
As the headband slipped off towards the ground her eyes began searing through the demon. Red as crimson she was developing a pure hatred for this nightmare. As her hooves began pulling her back to that vortex she lowered her head with kunai in tow to attack as her gallop increased. It was either him or herself that would remain able to walk in this outcome. If she could roll him possibly the little mare would be able to finally flee free of her deathwish she was calling upon.
"Come at me you son of a..." she called back as her speed increased to a ramming speed.
