Rifera sighed and stared into the water, just thinking. So much since he had arrived here. So much. A crush, a broken heart, and then...the most unexpected angel appearing out of no where and making everything right. Everything. His anger and resentment towards the two leggers was gone. The hate for any Soquili who was not a flutter was gone. A part of him felt empty. But in no way was it a bad empty. The dam that he had built was breeched and finally the inner waters that had beat against them were released and everything was clear. He no longer felt the need to even feel hatred. He was himself and yet he was not. He smiled. Finally...I can be who i should have always been... He sighed once more and looked around. Now where was his little miracle. He had told her to meet him around here. His lion like tail swished. Hopefully his directions had been clear. He realized now what love was. His crushes and yearnings for other stallions now seemed like phases, foal-hood crushes. Or even simply a passing feeling. This was real. Thank god he wised up. He settled down to wait, anxiously, for his Ellina.

Sniffling Ellina tried to control her crying but she just couldn't. She was hurt both physically and of the heart and now she was starting to think she was long lost and would never find Rifera. And she wanted to see her Rif so bad. The day had started off wonderfully she had a woken and gone to see grandma Peony's baskets. But she hadn't thought a head ma... Admon had been there and he's started yelling at her and then finally chased her off. Saddened then she had gone sniffling and crying along the way to find where Rifera had asked her to meet him. And well her long fluffy mane had been covering her blind eye but a sudden gust of wind had blown it into her good eye and she lowered her head to try and get it out of the way only get her hooves caught in it and try and knock her head into a tree trunk.

Hearing the crying before the gentle breeze carried her scent to him, he was instently on alert. Something was wrong. She was upset. His ears flattened and he took a quick sniff. She was alone. He trotted quickly in the direction of her crying and smell. "Ellina!" He called out to her, assuring her he was near, he'd be with her soon. It was a few more minutes before he spotted her, looking a mess. "Ellina!" He carried a diffrent note. More worry now, a little fear, and a tad bit of relief. She was in one peice at least. That scratched out a number of his theories. That narrowed it down and as he thought this his eyes narrowed. But he shook his head, going to her side. "Ellina, i'm right here, love. Its ok now, I'm right here."

" Rifera!" Snuggling up againist Rifera Ellina sniffled softly trying to calm down. Taking a few moment to finally stop crying she hid her face againist the unicorn's neck. Just being near him made her feel better, the pain in her head was unnoticable and the pain in her heart lessened. " I couldn't find you, he was so mean this morning, then I tripped and hit the tree and I was scared" Making not sense what so ever to any one but herself Ellina snuggled closed to Rifera just want to be close to him.

Nuzzling and running his muzzle up and down her neck in gentle strokes ment to calm, he murrmured calming words to her. "Shh, its alright, i'm here now. Don't cry, just relax and tell me what happened. I'm here, and i'll make it all better." Fire blistered under his skin at the anger towards anyone and everything that had caused Ellina pain. "I should never have left your side, i am so sorry, my love. I'm here now. Just calm down and talk to me and i'll make it better, i promise."

Closing her eyes Ellina rested againist Rifera the best she could while standing." Today was horrible" She murmured softly before starting to tell Rifera of her day. About waking up in the morning and trying to see Peony's baskets and the fight with Admon and being chased away. Then about trying to find him and getting lost only to trip over her own mane and run head long into a tree. Flushing suddenly she tried to hid herself. " I missed you today so much you alway make things better Rifera. My heart is at ease when you are around. We should just run away together..."

"I see my love." He said softly. "I am so sorry, i should have never left, as i said. I will not leave your side. I will be right here by your side and i will not let anyone hurt your or upset you ever again." He said softly. He did not feel like running away right now. Or rather, he did, but he wanted to run and give Admon a few extra holes. How dare he upset his Ellina so badly. And Chaseing her away was just the last straw! She had been doing nothing wrong. Was it a crime for her to see some baskets? From his knowledge of this little family, those baskets were, or rather had been, Ellina's aunt or uncle's. He stuck his muzzle in her hair and murrmured, a bit ashamed, "I wanna hurt Admon. Give him back all your pain with interest." He said before he snorted lightly, ears folding back a bit.

"No my love please don't let the anger and hatred get to you again even for me... it would kill me inside if you lost this new peace you have within you.." Nibbling lightly on Rifera's mane Ellina shook her head. " No we should be happy together"
Ellina didn't know what to say some parts of her were horrified Rifera would want to her her... ex-mama and others want him to do it to protect her defended her heart and give back the pain it had gotten. Closing her eyes againist the thoughts Ellina sighed softly unsure of what to do or say.

"I understand. I will not. No matter how much i want to...no matter how much i hate to see you in pain, It would cause you more pain if i hurt him. Even if some part of you wants him to suffer, he's still your mama to your heart, and you'll always love him." He breathed in her scent, letting it calm him. "And if i hurt him, i'm hurt you. And those you hold dear to you. So, i shall not. But i will protect you, and if he ever crosses our path and dares to challange you...I will put him in his place, Ellina."

" That is fine Rifera I trust you to do what is right if the time comes" Smiling softly Ellina stepped back away from Rifera to smile at him softly. " Your eyes and heart have opened and I could have no one better to protect and love me"

He smiled lightly. "All thanks to you." He stretched his neck out to nudge her cheek. "Now, how about we stop crying and get going. Take a nice walk." He had wanted to meet some of her family. Peony, Admon's mom, her adopted grandmother. He had also wanted to meet Admon, before he had turned against her. But now, a change of plans had to be made. WHat they would do, he didn't know. But he would figure it out. A walk, talks, somthing.

" A walk would be lovely" Rubbing her cheek gently againist Rifera's Ellina smiled softly. She was truly calm now, there was no need to pretend to happy or sad or flirty around Rifera he was perfectly fine with her the way she was and she could ask for nothing more. Stepping back Ellina glanced around trying to figure out where they were. " This place is nice."

"Good. There's a river a bit away from here." He said. "Lets head along that way." He nodded in the direction he had come. He paused and looked around as she spoke again. "Yeah, it is. I've been through here a few times. I like staying her." He still didn't have a solid home. The human he went to occationally was not a home. She already had a mare and a little stallion that took up her entire teepee, which wasn't large. And the mare's son came occationally too. He'd met him...he didn't like him. When the mare wasn't around the son was rude and obnoxious. And then a little white and black mare came by, but she never went inside, only sitting by the door until the two legger brought carrots out for her before disappearing again. She was nice...she'd been around since she was a baby. But she was so skiddish he never spoke to her. "I like sleeping around here, Since its pretty quiet. And it feels safe.

" I need a new place to sleep if I stay to close to grandma or Admon's places ma.. Admon chases me away." Her smiling faultering slightly she moved closer to Rifera leaning on him slightly. " Show me around this place. Its lovely the nature of things are so peaceful."

"Of course. Stay with me. If anything i can take you to a safe place to stay." He said, thinking of the teepee. He could take her there and she could stay there. He'd stay with her, of course, but she could sleep inside, protected by the teepee, the human, and the others while he stood guard at night. Yes...that would be good. "Lets walk around here and then head towards the river."
