Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
Release: Original Japanese release date was in February of 2003 by Enix.
Re-released in 2004 as a two disc "Director's cut" version with
bonus features such as new characters and dungeons.
Story: Takes place four hundred in-universe years after the first two Star Ocean games.
Plot: Star Ocean: Till the End of Time begins on the planet Hyda IV where a young man, Fayt Leingod, and his childhood friend, Sophia Esteed, are on vacation with Fayt's family. Fayt is son of a famous scientist in the field of symbological genetics. For an unknown reason, the Vendeen Empire — an alien civilization with highly advanced technology that spans only a single planet — attacks Hyda IV unprovoked, thus initiating a war with the Pangalactic Federation. Fayt and Sophia escape on the starship Helre, but are separated from Fayt's parents, Robert and Ryoko Leingod. The Helre is also attacked by the Vendeeni, and the two are separated......
Gameplay: The graphics are wonderful and the different personalities of the characters make for fun dialoge.
Battle Mode: You can have up to three characters at a time in battle. Also, you can choose your party leader and the formation which they appear. Battles can be avoided but if the enemy spots you they will come after you. Characters can go beyond level 99 (I believe)....I have the strategy guide and I think one the images had Fayt at level 245...... eek One more thing...characters can die if they run out of Magic Points (MP) even if they have Health Points (HP) in tact.

Main group-
Fayt Leingod

All these characters above will come and go through the game. It's not until near the second portion of the game that you get to choose the final two people (-optional list) to join your party for the remainder of the game.
Audio: The music was beautiful and went wonderfully with the scenes.

Quote:
I would play this until the end of time, had I not been obligated to do other things, like die.
