What should the theme of the next Gendou Story be?
I've been leaning towards doing an X-Men fan-fiction, or something super-hero themed. In all likelyhood, that's where I'll go with the next story, unless something else strikes my fancy.
However, I thought I'd give the readers a chance for input. None of this is binding, of course - I retain the right to write what I like. Still, I'd like your opinions on the matter.
So, should it be Super-heroes (X-Men, DC, generic, original, etc>)?
Or perhaps Ninjas, either Naruto-themed or otherwise?
Or just general street fighters - think Fatal Fury or Ranma.
A science-fiction story? Maybe Battletech-themed? Or Star Trek? Star Wars?
Maybe another fantasy epic like the last one? Or a continuation of the last one? (I'm least inclined to go there - I'm a bit burned out on it right now)
Or maybe something completely different that I haven't thought of at all.
I look forward to your input on the matter.

Ooooh, man. Too many good choices. I can't decide what I want to vote for.
But I can't say no to a good Science Fiction. Possibly something closer to Star Wars-ish fiction.
....I need to get cracking on my story.

Once we have the results back from this, and the other story is completed (or closer to being completed), I'll lock this thread and post another thread for discussion about whichever option I eventually go with, especially if it's super-heroes or ninjas. I have a lot of questions about the two genres, so it's not something I'm going to just jump into like I did with the fantasy story.

I'm going with superheroes. Fun to draw, if nothing else. <3
Street Fighters was tempting, but it might be kind of a niche genre.

I can't really decide, it may be neat to see what you can do with sci-fi, but I'm also curious how you'd do super-heros. Either would be wonderful to see.

I'm voting for science fiction. I've liked the science fiction that you've done in the past and I wouldn't be averse to seeing more of it in the future.

I'm also going to go with Super-Heroes. With Mutants and Masterminds 2e coming out soon I'll be on a hero binge myself, and I'm sure X-Men Legends has you ripe for some comic goodness, Gendou.
*rubs hands together greedily, can't wait to do character sheets of fellow modists...* ninja
(Second choice would have been Street Fighters, that sounds interesting...)

Hm, definately would like to see some original science fiction from you, but some twist-o X-men would be nice.
With Scott being mutilated horribly.

I'm voting science fiction. It's decidedly different from your last story theme, we have plenty of sci-fi fans in your reader base, and I bet you'd have a lot of fun writing it (and after all, if it's no fun, why write at all?). 3nodding

Well, let's see.
You're good with Sci-fi. Very good. It's a comfortable (or I assume comfortable) area for you to write in, and it's popular among modists. Super Heroes would give you a more creative edge to the interpretation of charactors. Giving certain people certain powers, so on so forth. It really depends on what you're more comfortable with.
My personal opinion? Sci-fi. Perhaps with a twinge of artificial super powers.

My first choice would be another fantasy, but superheros sound nice. *nods*
