Eusi's gaze shifted over the pridelands as she took in the different prey and lions lazing around the area. She had been gone many days in the rogue lands, doing some thinking and soul searching. She had felt terrible when her daughter had not come to see her again about her pregnancy, but Eusi had found she'd been too proud to drag herself to Vikali's den to see her grandcubs. She wondered if Inari knew, wondered what he thought of it. She had not gotten up the right mind to speak to him of it, and had been feeling very distant from her mate lately.
She sighed lightly and her tail flicked to the side as her gaze drank in the sights of shimmering water, she'd come upon one of the largest watering holes the pride had to offer. She slowly settled herself at the edge of the water, leaning down the lap some up before giving her paws a few good licks. Constantly she felt bored and saddened, but she could not name why she was sad and felt she had no right to be bored when she had such a good life here with Inari. He let her be who she was, and he still adored her and cared for her. She hunted whenever she wanted to and was able to train her muscles and such whenever she wanted, he even let her have as much privacey as she wanted. She sighed and shook her head again, just something about it did not seem enough.
She had tried getting out of the pridelands for a while with Vikali, but that had only strained her relationship with her daughter. Was she a bad mother? She looked across the water with an almost desperate gaze in her eyes. Perhaps she was. She had thought maybe a trip with Inari alone would do the two some good, but she did not know if he would leave the lands.

Inari sat upon a stone that had long ago become too small for his frame, at one time the stone was so large in comparison, a stone similar to the one Imara had come to protect in another corner of the lands. he smiled thinking of his daughter, his daughters, so beautiful and strong, so...grown up. It had been a long time since he stayed in this area for more than a single quick moment, when he was here, he thought of his family, his mother, father, how Imara had to say goodbye that one day, how she had cried and vowed to never cry again.
Had he forced too much on his family, asked for too much?
Flicking his tail he let his paws rest upo on another and his eyes drew to the sky wishing for the blue form of the god he had befriended to reveal himself as if Inari could will it. He smiled, thinking of Mrost, how Imara had met the god Inari trusted well. But had he not gone for the right path, did he choose wrong? Eusi had left on a journey with one of his daughters, everything, everyone seemed so distant now, and he felt alone.

Sometimes, though, she did not think a trip would fix anything at all. Eusi had never really enjoyed the life as playing the role of a mother and a mate. Sometimes it filled her heart with much pride, and other times she just grew tired of it. Perhaps she should hunt more.... but she was hardly around her family as it was now. Sometime needed to change, and she was worried she would have to leave her family behind to get that change. Was that really what would be best?
She scowled across the watering hole and shook her head slightly, red gaze shifting around the bank. Her tail curled around her paws a moment and then flicked away. What was this feeling of restlessness that always seemed to strike her heart so heavily? She sighed softly and rose to her paws once again, stretching out her lean frame.
That was when her nostrils caught Inari's scent, and she realized what she felt in her heart, knew her decision, and wondered if Inari would hate her or not. Her tail flicked, but she moved toward his scent without feeling nervous or having any regrets.

Inari rolled off form the slate of rock, looked to the other stones in a line he remembered pouncing from one to the next, remembered showing them to Imara, how she had loved them, but he sighed. He pushed so hard with his girl, perhaps even with Eusi. Perhaps he should have gone with her on her journey with his golden pelted daughter, perhaps he should have convinced them to stay.
He sighed, shook his head, mane falling into view of his eyes.
Since the girls had grown, now there seemed to be somewhat of an absence, no little ones to teach how tog et strong, teach how to pounce, hunt, play. No little adventures around the pridelands showing each aprt, each place, each preybeast. He sighed again, looking up towards the sky as if it would speak an answer, any answer at all.

She watched him move from the rock and shook her head slightly. He must have been growing soft if he hadn't heard or seen her approach yet. Perhaps his mind was on other things, though. "Inari." She called brusquely, trying to get his attention. She could not be her usual self, at least what she'd turned into over the time spent as a mate, because she needed to speak of this matter seriously with him.
When she was close enough that they did not have to shout to speak to each other, and no closer, she stopped moving and shifted her weight, slowly seating herself. She let a calm, nice expression fill her features as she waited to get his attention before beginning.

Inari's ears swiveled when he heard her voice and he turned his eyes to let them settle on her fast approaching form. As she drew closer, she sat herself, smiled, and he returned a smile as well, flicked his tail. As she sat, he quirked a brow, but said nothing, and sat back onto his own haunches watching her.
"Eusi, what brought you way out here?" way too formal, he even knew it when he spoke it, he shook his head, tried to start it over, he was so formal sometimes, it bothered him, "I mean, how are you?"
