There were people in the lab. Granted, it was only J, but that was still 'people'. N glared, fingers twitching for a cigarette. He was missing out on the peace and quiet that normally came with being alone with his projects. In a few minutes, even more 'people' would be arriving. He was supposed to have FULLMOON meet it's handler today, and that would mean children. Children. Now he really wanted to smoke.

The twins each had ahold of one of Akuji's hands and they were dragging the woman along toward where they had been told they would be going to get to see their Chimera. Every since the class they had the other day they had been itching to know what sort they were getting, what it would look like, what it would be good at. It was all they could talk about since they had gotten the call saying they could come visit.

"What do you think it looks like?" Both asked of Akuji, as if she might have some insight.

The woman couldn't help but give a little giggle and shook her head, "I couldn't hazard a guess pups, you will just have to survive the short walk between where we are and where we are going to find out." She teased the pair.

Her words only made them that much more excited, tugging on her hands more, trying to get her to run toward where the labs were.

As J opened the door to leave the room, the sounds of running and giggling filtered through from the hallway. FULLMOON was going to be a gorgeous creature, probably with a somewhat lupine temperment. He had hoped that her handler might be the same, but it seemed there was to be no such luck..unless it was the mentor behaving childishly. That wasn't out of the question, but he hoped not. The Warmaster was bad enough as it was.

The running and giggling one would find came from all three, both the twins and Akuji who had gotten a bit swept up by their excitement and tugging. She had allowed herself to be pulled along into a bit of a job, closer to a run for the smaller boys, to the door.

The trio came to a halt as the door they were supposed to be going to opened up.

"Alright pups, time to behave your best." She told them, giving their hands a squeeze with hers before letting them go.

The two took a couple of quick steps forward, ears facing forward, tail wagging behind them rapidly as they looked up at the man who had opened the door in a hopeful manner, "Hello!" But said in unison, "We came to visit with our Chimera!"

"Manners." Akuji whispered to them.

Their ears twitched and they quickly added, "Please and Thank You."

"Wipe your feet on the mat." N droned, as he did every time, and began to walk through the lab complex. Damn. There were two of them. The file hadn't said anything about that. Well, it probably did, but N never bothered to read the handler file beyond what genetic traits were expressed. Honestly, why again did he have to let the little terrors into the lab? FULLMOON would know well enough when she was ready and her handler, handlers. He corrected himself. Her handlers would know anyway.

FULLMOON was in the second tank in the first room on the right. As he walked, he began to spout information about his beloved project.

"FULLMOON's coloring is black and grey. She's going to be beautiful, flying under the moonlight. She's a phoenix type, without an expressed tail. That means she has two pairs of wings, one pair of legs, and a second pair of limbs for balancing that look like tails. I don't know whether they'll develp feathers yet. "

The twins exchanged a glance before they looked down at their fluffy feet finding the request a little strange but they quickly did as they were told. After all the one standing before them giving orders was the one who could let them see the Chimera or tell them to go home. They lifted their feet after wiping them off to make sure they were clean before following the man inside.

The two of them moved forward to look into the tank with wide eyes, seeming in awe of the chimera that was within in. Their ears turned toward the man as he spoke, explaining to them what type she was about about her features, "Pretty." Both of the boys murmured, tails wagging behind them.

The pair scooted a little closer to the tank, exchanging a glance. They hadn't thought for a moment that their Chimera would be a girl. A very pretty girl, one who could fly. Their ears twitched in a happy manner and for once both couldn't seem to think of anything to say, awestruck.

As he checked through the monitoring devices on the screen, N continued to wax poetic about FULLMOON.

"Her third limbs are a digitigrade canine hind leg structure, and she also seems to have mamalian earlobes. Her eyes are forward facing, so she will have binocular depth perception, and at this point, I am pretty sure that she will have a toothed beak. Upon awakening, I estimate her wingspan to be four to six feet and for her to stand two feet high. When she is fully grown is anyone's guess, but I predict six to eight feet. Any questions?"

The pair listened in rapt fascination as the man continued to describe how she was going to look and their tails only seemed to wag more and more, "She sounds amazing." They murmured in time with each other.

They then started to think on it hard, trying to come up with some good questions for the man.

"Will she be able to fight when she wakes up?" Uri asked.

"Will she be able to carry us?" Lucius asked.

"Will she want to play with us? Can she wrestle? Can she swim?" Once they got ideas for questions they started to spout them off one after the other, "Does she like meat? Does she eat sandwiches? Would she want to play ball?"

Akuji lifted a hand to smother a giggle at the barrage of questions that were asked of the man. All of them the questions of children.

While the first few were intelligent enough, the quality of the questions seemed to degrade until there seemed to be more than he could answer at once, not that he was able to get a word in edgewise through the barrage of childish babbling. "QUIET!" he ordered, snarling at Fullmoon's handlers as menacingly as he could. "Yes, she will be able to fight. Yes, she should be strong enough to ride when she's fully grown. Yes, she will play. Yes, she can wrestle. No, she can't swim. Yes, she'll eat meat, and how the f-" he managed to stop himself from swearing "I don't know the rest now get out and don't come back until she wakes up."

The demand for quiet drew a squeak from the boy, their ears laying back against their heads... then turned forward when the man started to answer some of the questions that they had posed to him. The pair listened avidly until the point where he cut off on an almost curse. Their tails started to wag behind them rapidly, "Oh-hohoho... he almost used the 'F' word!" They giggled, having heard it a few times along with many other curses from hanging out with Akuji's band mates on many occasions.

Upon finding themselves suddenly banished from the room the pups laughter cut off and their turned their glares on the man. How dare he kick them out when they were just asking questions that to them seemed logical?! They barred their teeth at him, starting to growl when Akuji grabbed hold of the collars of their shirts.

"Thank you for your time." She told the man, giving him her best smile, "I am sure they appreciate it too." With that she started to drag the pair toward the door, not really wanting them to get into a battle with the man when that wouldn't be very nice.... Even if the man was a little lacking in his socializing with children skill.
