This summer I've been through many books. Dan Brown's novels, the Harry Potter novels, The Golden Compass, Ella Enchanted, Breaking Dawn, and many Gary Paulsen books.
Summer is not yet over, though.
I officially have thirteen days (nearly two weeks) until summer closes. Even after it ends I still need a list of books to read. . .
So I thought why not ask anyone willing to take the time to answer?
I don't want to read Shakespeare. Charles Dickens doesn't seem appealing, either. Harriett Stowe's book annoys me, so nothing like that.
I like popular books, books that my peers read just so I can keep up with them. I like long novels because I hate when a book ends, but I hate dauntingly huge novels, too. And I don't like biographies or things that don't sound personal. Too scientific-y and I'm out.
So if you'd lend some assistance in this field with your suggestions I'd be grateful ^_^ I'll read nearly anything but what I've just said I don't like above. Or, this could be a topic to discuss books you've read and enjoy like the title suggests.

✗✗Blob D:✗✗@Shoeless Saint: Lol are you bringing the TOK kinda discussion up?
Harry Potter and The Golden Compass were nice. The whole His Dark Materials were good, the movie doesn't seem to be that good though, only seen the trailer.
Well, you sound like some reader. I used to read a lot but as I entered 10th grade, :/ I only find myself in front of my desk studying, drawing or on the computer. I still try to find some time to read though xD Well, I'm not really updated with books, but if you like thriller and mystery, you can try reading Stephen King's books. "Hearts in Atlantis" or "The Shining" were good I thought. If you like plays, "Waiting For Godot" is pretty interesting..Or Albert Camus' "The Outsider" (The Stranger).
And D: for Shakespeare. I have to read "Hamlet" in the school when it opens but it's so boring D:

✗✗Blob D:~✗✗TOK stands for Theory of Knowledge...it's kind of like...asking questions that does not have an answer but brings up discussions.
For example..."why do we exist?" or..."what is a lion?". Everyone has different opinions and answers to these questions...so therefore, it would be a TOK topic. ✗✗~βĿoodrΦps✗✗

I rather like those questions. I'm a fan of arguing. What question first?
Btw, I just finished my summer reading and Breaking Dawn. I think Breaking Dawn blew it. I really don't like it. Jacob is my favorite, but I think Meyer totally left him behind. I'm considering returning my book...

I recomend The Alchemyst by Michael Scott. Verry good book, but i'm not yet finished. Or Eragon. I LOVE Eragon. I actually saw the movie first, and thought is sucked BAD. I read some reviews online and they said the book was 100x better. I happend to have the book but never botherd. I'm glad I read it though biggrin

Yeah, the Eragon movie wasn't very good. Or, at least I thought so. But the second book took too long. I started to lose interest... A lot of movies are pretty different from the books. But some are really close, too. Um... Like the Princess Bride! And Pride and Prejudice! I know those are really old and all, but they were good. I'm looking forward to the Twilight movie coming out. I'm not sure how accurate it'll be, but still.
Also, the Harry Potter movies that haven't come out yet? I think they're splitting the last movie into two so they can put more detail into it. Not sure though.

Kurtsutora I rather like those questions. I'm a fan of arguing. What question first? Btw, I just finished my summer reading and Breaking Dawn. I think Breaking Dawn blew it. I really don't like it. Jacob is my favorite, but I think Meyer totally left him behind. I'm considering returning my book... Why do you think she blew it? I mean Jacob has a love and Bella was upset with that. He had his own section in the book as well so why do you think he was left behind? I liked how she put it together in the end.
I'm currently reading Odd Thomas, by Dane Koontz. I haven't read the sixth or seventh book of Harry Potter yet.
