Earlier today I was playing nascar thunder 2003. I was doing a 100% race at Watkins Glen. I was doing pretty good, aside from the fact that I went off track in turn 1 on the first lap. Other than that I got several yellows and led probably about 25 or 30 laps. I got to lap 60, didn't pit, and that's when it started to go down hill. This is when I realized I was the only one who didn't pit in during the caution. I pitted the next lap, and wound up starting at the back of the field (suprised?) After 2 cautions for me getting rear ended/ rammed into another car, I spun in the esses, and blew the engine... with only 12 laps to go.

My copy of 2003 doesn't work, and i'm too lazy to buy it for 3 dollars at gamestop. I play Dirt to Daytona all the time though, i think it's the best nascar game on a console. It had dirt, modified, trucks, and cup years before ea sports integrated the series into thier games.

I'm not a good driver in video games but I know I have Nascar 08. My brother loves racing games.

Nascar Thunder 2003 was a really good EA sports game. I also liked NASCAR 09. When it comes to NASCAR games. I am second to none in any NASCAR game. Someone might beat me for a race or that season, but by the next time that race rolls around or seasons end, I will be the winner. I really like nascar thunder 2003 for the computer. People say that I only win because of my car setups being so good. If that's the case then why don't you get better with it, and it's never all about the car setup. Skill is just as equal. It's not my fault your not as good as me... I am a ninja

In terms of graphics EA 2009 was the best. But as a game overall nothing beats 04 Thunder! The season / career in that game is second to none. Dirt to Daytona by Infrogames was really good aswell. After 2005 Ea kind've began to falter in their nascar games until 08... stare

That was the game where you could set your car up really loose and control it. Yeah career mode was really good in that game.

CrossFire43 Lol sounds like a ride with Sterling Martin at the Glen... Ha ha. I could imagine. The wreck was my fault, I had to get aggressive towards the end. I gained 11 spots in turn 1 once, with out getting a scratch on my car.

I have done full races before and only a few times have I been able to get through with no damage.

I just ran 08 at 100% at the Glen on Vet, because of reading sonictim2004 post. I haven't ran full 100% at the Glen in over half a year. sweatdrop I ran my own custon car Dodge, a Petty remake car. Sat on the the front row (outside). Led a couple of laps in the early going. Then when Vickers and Stewart began nipping at my tires I pulled back and fell back to 4th. Then for pretty much the rest of the race and all of my pitstops I hung around 3rd to 11th (pitsop was pretty bad). With a couple of laps to go Hamlin cut me off and got spun out. I restarted 6th passed a couple of cars and finished 3rd crying . That was the first time I hadn't either finished 1st or 2nd at a road coarse in 2008 ever (I really take road coarse seriously and I usually never finish outside the top5 either). scream Needless to say my streak of top 2s was now over... But at least I got to spun out Jeff Gordon coming to the checkers exclaim biggrin xd I think on Monday I'll go run my favorite track Texas at 100% again on Monday biggrin

I am a ninja *squinty eyes* Is that a challenge? 03 is my all time favorite, and I have 4 other nascar games. 03's tied with gran turismo on my all time favorite list. Getting a good set up is just as important as skill. Technically, in career mode I play with worse cars than the AI just for the set-up challenge. What system do you have nascar 09 for?? I have questions!

As much as I love 03, career mode in 2004 is much better. I like 2005 a lot, but it dosn't touch the older ones. It took me a long time to really like 06, but it's actually a very challenging game once you get used to it. PS: I have nascar racing 2 for PC lol.

One of my favorite personal challenges is doing a 3% race at daytona, starting in last, and winning with out a scratch on the car.

I love having an influence on people. I run a custom car sponsored by craftsman. mrgreen This was the first 100% race in any nascar/ cup series event that I had never won. First road race too. You like Texas too? Oh god you and I are just alike. I kick a** at Texas in 04. We both gotta get on-line so I can challenge you. twisted
