If they want to screw themselves over by attacking Iran without provocation (no, some mistranslations and unproven nukes do NOT count as provocation in any rational universe) then they can go ahead and do that. I just hope the West has enough sense to stay out of it.

I might be concerned, but I wouldn't be calling for war. If sabre-rattling (or, in Iran's case, statements that might have been mistranslated as sabre-rattling) was justification for pre-emptive strikes, humanity would not have survived the Cold War.

Sometimes I wonder if humanity surviving the cold war was a good thing or a bad thing.

If Isreal goes to war with Iran, the U.S. will probably become involved. The U.S. hates to be told its not the master of the world, and that other nations can and will defy us if the choose to. Our troops in Iraq and Afganistan will be at risk, as both countries border Iran, and its likely that it will disrupt oil supplies, driving the cost of oil way up. All because Iran decided it was its own master, and didn't need the consent of the international community to pursue a course of military development. Not only that, but if Iran does develop nukes, it will disrupt the balance of haves and have nots the nuclear powers set up to keep themselves in permament military superiority to the rest of the world. If we want peace with Iran, we should quit trying to tell them what they can or cannot, must or must not, do. Until we do that, we will not have peace.

I do hope this doesn't blow into a war but if it does, let's hope it'll be a repeat of the Six-Day War.

It sounds to me like she is trying to say something more along the lines of "Dont get involved, unless mandatorally brought into it. We are not the worlds keeper, and we shouldnt treat the rest of the world as if we were."
Not sure if im correct on that, just how it sounds to me, and also what i think.

Non-existent god***it; more military threats. Honestly, what the hell would a military strike on Iran do? Bring the Arabs to their knees begging for forgiveness amidst their Israeli conquers? Yeah, the day Switzerland's army becomes the most powerful in the world. Striking Tehran would just be throwing a boulder at the hornet's nest, I mean you might as well defecate on the Koran. It would have about the same effect. The only option here is to sanction Iran, till the say they will begin dismantling their nuclear program; because everyone knows that isn't going to happen. If Israel were to strike at Iran, then once begins who would come to the rescue? DA-DA-DA Cap'n America now with Iraq-Boost®. The U.S.A is the world's peace-keeper since no one actually cares about the U.N. Like I said, sanction or Dr. Strangelove(If they have built nukes); just replace Russia with Iran. And instead of them trying to steal our bodily fluids, they are trying to steal our car-i-ly fluids.

And tell me Twizted, if someone figuratively kicked your pride in the crotch; would you go hide in a corner and cry it out? Would you surrender yourself and just give up? Abandon your ideals just because someone didn't agree with them?

Abandon your ideals just because someone didn't agree with them? I would not abandon them, I would rebuild and after 2 or 3 times of this process I would realize, that this sort of thing is likely to happen everytime I rebuild and would then be discouraged from trying again. I am not suggesting this would be a quick fix, it would likely take more than once to send the message.
