 Cinema Bizarre. Who would have thought those two words could so perfectly sum up this five piece Berlin based band? The individual look, the explosive shows, and the glamour of the movies tied in with a sound that refuses to be pigeonholed. First and foremost, there is the music. Glam, New Wave, Electro, New Romantic, Rock. It's a fusion of all of these and more! As lead singer Strify explains, "Our sound stands for a big firework - musically and emotionally. We want to fascinate the people and lead them to another world with our songs."
Along with Strify; Kiro, Yu, Shin and Luminor found each other on the internet - a series of chance emails and a shared love of Visual Kei and the Japanese youth culture. It's all about individuality, self development, and rebellion and for many in Japan, a way of showing the world that won't be suppressed. The bond is natural. As bassist Kiro says, "Every one of us is fascinated with Visual Kei and it's a part of us together as a band, we're taking it one step further and making something of our own out of it." From cyberspace, they met up for the first time at a Manga/Anime convention and secured a record deal shortly after. Just three easy steps!
And then the album. FINAL ATTRACTION. A collection of songs that reflect the individual music tastes of each of the band whilst still having that Cinema Bizarre sound! The album went Top 10 on initial release in the crowded album market at the end of last year whilst the first single "Lovesongs" followed the same path. And in keeping with all that Cinema Bizarre are about, the video for "Lovesongs" has already been viewed over a million times on YouTube! The follow up single, "Forever or Never" is showing the same credentials with over 100,000 views of the video in its first week!
And it is the internet where Cinema Bizarre has grown from the very start. Naturally, organically, and at an incredible rate! There are websites and forums dedicated to the band all over the world. In far flung areas where their individual look and sound has been welcomed like an oasis in the musical desert. Over 10,000 visitors a day visit sites to find out the latest on Shin's drum heroes, Yu's piercings and tattoos, and Luminor's more than passing resemblance to Marilyn Manson.
And this interest and passion for the band has extended to luminaries like King of Punk, Malcolm McClaren, who has offered to write for the band and Depeche Mode, who gave the band rare permission to sample one of their hits, "Everything Counts," on "Escape to the Stars." Some praise indeed!
With this kind of backing coupled with a rapidly expanding army of Cinema Bizarre lovers around the world, 2008 promises great things for a band whose look and sound are undeniably different. The release of FINAL ATTRACTION looks likely to turn into a case of First Love for anyone that hears it!

They didn't say what date that was? Like I said, at least he's going to a hospital. Most people get better after going to a hospital. They don't get happier, but they get better. They should chain Luminor to the bed so he can't just leave.

All I know is.. he just really needs to start taking care of himself. I don't think he gets it - I don't think he gets that he has "adoring fans" like myself who look up to him as a person. When he gets sick, it.. really sucks, to say the least. I just want him to be better.

I know...we don't know him personally, but it still...bad just the same.
I mean, I can't imagine how the rest of the guys feel because tehy are already so close to him and know how great he is.

I know...even if its a simple thing as getting up too fast, getting dizzy and passing out, or bigger than that...I'm sure they still feel worse as well. I kinda wish he'd start taking care of himself more.

Everyone is going to kill me slowly for this, but I'm glad he's in the hospital. Maybe that'll knock some sense into him. He's not Superman. He's also not Wonderwoman. He isn't some kind of superhero that never gets sick. Even if he doesn't want people to be constantly bothering him and asking if he's okay, he's just going to have to live with it. Maybe he'll have some time to think a bit now that he's in the hospital. He should stay there now until the end of the tour so that he misses EVERYTHING and he's lonely every single day. He'll have lots of time to think about how nice it would be if people cared. confused Honestly.

I think I've said that like 40 times now. Everyone's like "I hope he gets out of the hospital soon!" And I'm like "I hope they take a baseball bat and knock him out for a few days. confused " He needs one of those evil posessed nurses that are like "STAY. RIGHT. THERE. DON'T MOVE. evil "

No, I was thinking more of 8 foot ten, extremely skinny, old witch, wrestle-you-down-like-a-pig-as-you-try-to-run-away, super-speed and a piercing glare that could have cut a diamond. The person you're describing is the doctor xD The kind of person who tells you stories you don't want to hear. "When I was 10 (and in the army!), I had to go through whole patches of poison ivy (and beehives!) and I didn't whine once! You look at how weak you've all become! SKINNY ARMS! SKINNY LEGS! Floating in mid-air because you have NO STOMACH! Why, back in my days, if we didn't have a stomach (literally and figuratively!), we got NO WHERE! The army was our whole lives! Without the army, we wouldn't have lives! And if we didn't have lives, we didn't have the army! And without the army, our lives would mean NOTHING! If we had lives! And if we got some kind of (deadly!) sickness, they'd just leave us out to rot! And then we'd become like YOU! SKINNY ARMS! SKINNY LEGS!
