"Gottagetoutoftheraaaain!" Guin whined, her arms covering her head as she ran towards Barton, having gone out to play with her animal friends on the other side of Bass'ken lake. Not that the arms over her head were really necessary, there were several birds willing to fly over her head like a living umbrella.

Ha! You were expecting a sexy shower, weren't you?

It could be sexy if you think of it the right way, she's soaking wet, after all!

Guin wasn't going to make it home anytime soon, and she knew this, but where was she supposed to go?! The girl stopped running and stood there with her arms on her head, pouting and looking around. Oh! A shack! She hurried that way and tugged on the door...crap...there was a lock on it! "Well now what?" The girl whined, squealing when a ominous flash of lighting was followed by a just as ominous clap of thunder. Her birds were gone now, frightened by the weather. Lovely.

"A girl as pretty as you didn't think to check the weather network a'fore go'an out t' play?" a snide voice rises from the darkness. Well, it's much less ominous than that, but he decided to speak just before the lightning, at its darkest point, and is half-illuminated only a second later.

He's soaked to the bone in what appears to be a very heavy jacket for such weather. His blonde hair, made darker by the water, sticks to the sides of his face and the bridge of his nose. A tiny flash of a bright green tail is the only evidence of his companion, who is stowing away within his inner pocket. He looks her up and down in admiration, and a crooked smile slips across his face.

He holds out a hand to her. "Come, I know a way in where it's dry."

Ack! Guinevere gasped and whirled around, getting tangled up in her soaking wet scarf as it wrapped around her legs and nearly made her trip and fall. She leaned back against the door and stared up at Ink for a minute, totally expecting it to have been Old Man Logan here to chew her out for trying to break into his shed. "W-well...I...uh...no..." She said with an embarrassed little laugh, pushing wet hair out of her face to get a better look at who was talking to her.

Well at least he was as soaked as her, she gave him a quick once over. A totally innocent one! What was that green thing? Was it her imagination? Her gaze paused on that for a minute before she quickly looked back up at Ink in time to see him doing exactly what she'd been doing...only more lewdly. She instinctively crossed her arms over her body like she was trying to protect it, looking a little wary.

She blinked and stared at his hand for a minute, clearly trying to decide if she should follow. He didn't...seem mean, and he was even offering to take her some place dry! "Um...okay..." Guin took his hand and pushed herself away from the shed, smiling a little. "I'm Guinevere, by the way!"

Thunder rumbles over the last part of her sentence, but he stopped listening after 'okay' anyhow. "Right this way, Ginger," he instructs, taking her hand with a quick shifty glance to make sure she's not being followed. Paranoia defines the boy.

When he's convinced there's no one else, save for the annoying fleet of birds, he tugs her rather unceremoniously and starts into a jog.

Thin, spiral antenna poke out from the back of his collar, followed by bright red ears. They twitch a little with every raindrop that hits them.

Her birds had left to seek sanctuary in their nests and probably protect their babies from being like turkeys and drowning themselves. Guinevere pouted when she was called Ginger right after she'd told him her name. Maybe he'd just misheard because of the thunder.

Guin was trying her hardest to keep up with the jog, but it was kind of hard to run when her scarf kept getting in the way--but she managed! She blinked and stared at the attenae and the ears coming out of the boy's collar, reaching out her free hand to try and touch whatever it was to see if it was real. Where was this dry place? Guin could only hope it was safe...

"So...um...what's your name?" She asked as they jogged to wherever she was being taken.

The boy sighs heavily at his company's need to make conversation. The rain is falling harder now, in sheets, and the ground is soggy with every step. "Call me Ink," he shouts over distant rumbling.

At the sound, the ears shoot back down into the coat and a little lump under tehe jacket shivers. It's only visible because the jacket is so soaked that it clings to every bump underneath it. When the thunder is gone, the ears poke back up again, and then a nose, and a smile. The little creature waves at Guin with her tiny paw and bounces visibly with every step Ink takes.

"Okay, Ink!" Guinevere's smile brightened now that she had a name to call this bow, finally reaching down as they jogged to pick up the ends of her scarf and wrap them more securely around her so she wouldn't stumble on them anymore. Ugh! Even the tops of her stockings were starting to get wet now!

She gasped quietly when the lump started to shiver, frowning a little and reaching out again to poke it. It poked its face out before she touched it though, giggling softly and waving a few fingers at the colorful little paw waving at her. How cute! She couldn't wait to see the whole creature! "Are we almost there?" The girl finally asked without taking her eyes off the creature, although it was very clear who she was talking to.

Hey cutiiiiie~

"Right up th' road," Ink gruffly responds, shoving his hands into his pockets as they come to a street. No way he'll be seen around here, holding some chick's hand, even if it's a pretty little thing like Ginger.

He looks both ways, and, though there's a stoplight not ten metres away, crosses here. Ink breaks into a faster jog, ignoring the dangers of a dimly lit street, at night, and crossing in dark clothing. He actually seems to relish in this danger by choosing not to ruin.

"Ooouuuweeouu!" Suds coos, enjoying this super bouncy ride at Ink's neck. A raindrop hits her nose and she sneezes, rubbing it furiously like a hamster.

She was free! Guin busied her hands by making a feeble attempt at wringing water out of the bottom of her dress so it wasn't as wet, doing her best to keep from lifting it up and giving Ink some sort of show. Ugh, her clothes were starting to get heavy now. If only she could just go home and change and cuddle in a nice, warm robe...but home was kinda far now.

Crescentia wouldn't be worried! Guinevere was sure this had been seen in her mother's morning tarot cards!

And now he was running again. The girl ran after Ink, laughing quietly at the cheerful sound coming from the creature in his jacket. Awww! It was so adorable! She wanted to hold it now! Unfortunately it looked like they'd have to wait until they were safely in wherevere Ink was taking them.

Unknowingly for all parties involved, Suds is used on Guin like a bone tied on a stick and string to dangle in front of a dog. It serves its purpose, though, as right across the street, Ink makes a hard left and produces a door on the side of a building. He bangs hard on it with his palm.

The door swings open after a brief pause, and Ink steps in out of the rain, not bothering to tell his company to follow.

Guin fell for it, she wanted to hold Sudsy so badly. Sudsy was just so adorable! She had to hug her! The girl gasped and stumbled to catch up when Ink suddenly turned to the left, watching him quietly.

A...door? She jumped a little as he suddenly banged on the door, closing her eyes quickly and tightly incase something scary came out. It was like those speak easies! The bars that sold illegal stuff!

"W-wait for me!" She was stuttering from the cold of her wet clothes, rubbing her arms as she hurried through the door before Ink had the chance to close it. "Where are we?"

The room is a rusty red, furnished sparingly and occupied by quite a few shifty looking people. There are a few lights in the warehouse-turned-hangout, by they're few and dim enough to be considered mood lighting at best. Thunder claps overhead, and the electricity wavers.

Ink continues on ahead, acknowledging one of the older men on the ratted couch before starting up a wooden set of stairs with his hands back in his pockets. A girl nearby hacks as she takes a hit of something, then snivels, giving Guin a curious one-over.

"Eeee~" that little voice calls out, waving frantically at Guin as Suds is carried further up the stairs.

This place was creepy, was it really safe to be here? Guinevere hugged herself tighter and balled her hands into fists, clutching her sleeves and hurrying behind Ink. She gasped and jumped almost three feet in the air when she heard a girl hacking and saw her looking at her, frowning deeply and even reaching out with one hand to hold onto the back of Ink's jacket.

Guin would be damned if this boy was going to lose her.

The little cheery voice did cheer her up a bit, smiling weakly as she followed Ink up the stairs. At least it wasn't raining on them anymore...although she was starting to think that might not have been so bad now. "Um...Ink...where are we?" She whispered as they walked up the stairs, still clinging to the back of his coat.

The second level is unoccupied, and, for not having a door, a lot quieter than the downstairs level. Ink peels off his jacket and throws it on the ground carelessly; Suds quickly grabs hold of his wet shirt to prevent herself from falling right off her ride.

"S'where I stay sometimes," he mutters, waving a hand at his immediate right. "Dry yerself off iffin you want. Or don't, I don't mind th' view." He smirks to himself as he collapses onto a daybed that's in poor shape. Suds squirms out from under his shoulderblades and scrambles up onto her other half's shoulders, all the while flat out ignored by the boy, to her despair.

At least they were away from the other people now, especially the girl that'd been watching her. This place gave her the creeps, she even considered leaving until there was another rumble of thunder; it was too late to say no to Ink. "Oh, you stay here? I see..." Guin started wringing out the bottom of her dress again, facing away from Ink. He wasn't going to be getting a show!

The offer to dry off didn't need to be told twice, as soon as he mentioned it she untied the bow of her scarf and pulled it off her neck, sighing in relief and staring at it in her arms. Where was she going to put this to try? Hey, wait...what did he just say? "The view?" Guinevere finally asked after a moments hesitation, glancing back curiously at the boy on the daybed. Oh! The cute little creature was out now! And she was adorable! "Oooh! Who's this?" She cooed, sitting on a free space of the daybed and reaching out to pet Suds' head. How adorable! It was like a rainbow spit her up! She certainly didn't seem to match Ink at all from what she saw so far, neither of them belonged in this building.

Suddenly the girl shivered a little, though she tried to hide it. Her soaked dress was drying but it was cold; were she home she'd have taken it off and replaced it with a warm, fluffy robe by now.
