Check the day care subforum. Should have some ink recipes there.

google "how to make a kiwi mop" and next time do a little more research before asking such a broad question. That's too easy to find out.

The last time I made a mop, it was with an empty stick of deoderant , sponge, rag, rubber bands, paint, and paint thinner... you can use anything.... whatever your graffiti infested mind desires.. hahaha.. you got to experiment. Do what you gotta do... werrrrrrrrd! mrgreen

gluesticks with chalkboard nibs work well but run out of ink kinda fast.

just make sure it doesn't leak cuz smelling like paint thinner sucks, esecially if you start to get spooked.

Bingo dabbers work well.

But they don't you that many dips like normal mops do.

get a kiwi mop bust the top off add some brake fluid then thats it

ooookay, for a good mop that works amazing this is the abstract of it. forget brake fluid and weird stolen s**t.

1. get a kiwi shoe polish bottle.

2. Take off the top and remove the green stopper (Do Not tear the knib)

3. Empty and rinse.

4. Fill with 2 parts oil base paint and one part of some kind of thinner (mineral spirits works but i like using odorless for obvious reasons)

5. cap shake and get ready to use. you might need to hold it upside down and give a little squeeze to bleed the tip.

if you dunn what kind of paint is good i reccomend getting the little pint sized buckets of rusto OIL based paint.

the more thinner you add the more drips. its a good idea to keep a marble inside so you can shake it (with the cap on) to get it to mix if it's been chillin. but thats all you need to know about kiwi mops. ******** fancy ink recipes, ******** eraser knibs like i said earlier in here. this is whats proven itself with time. the same idea goes for similar bottles. window markers, bingo dabbers and such. get creative but go out and do it.

Two parts oil base and one part thinner... Do you mean, in equivelent to the total volume or whatever..or an actual measurement? I'm Canadian so we use different terms and such. Or I might just have not heard it used before. I don't do a lot of cooking, so I'm not very familliar with terms.

The more thinner the more drips and transparency. Mess around with it and you'll get it to your liking.

I meant 1/3 thinner and 2/3 paint

but it all depends on how old and thick the paint is. I got a can that's been in use since 2007.
