The pale lioness let out a soft sigh, golden eyes roaming the lands around her. Half savannah, half desert. She sat on the edges of the massive desert, the sand blowing about in the wind, slowly claiming, and relinquishing the grassy lands on the air's whim.
For some time, she had been torn by indecision. She could trespass upon the land, in search of her father. She could go to the home of her ancestors, her bloodline, that she took so much pride in. But somehow, she knew. It could never be her home. To favor battle, to put stock into physical strength. While she may have such strengths, she had no will to use them.
In the desert, she would only be surviving, rather than living. And that was not a path she wanted.
Red ears flattened back against her head, her eyes shut in mourning for the father she would likely never cross paths with again. She remained there, several more minutes, before finally climbing back to her paws, and leaping off the rocky surface to land in the sandy grass. She would remain a rogue, for now...

As much as Aang loved traveling in a group with all his friends, he enjoyed exploring on his own just as much, if not more. That's what saw him wandering in the vicinity of the desert, prancing around in the sand for a while before going back to the savannah. After all, the desert was hot...
And he didn't want to worry Eupe.

She cast out one last longing glance to the sands as she moved, sighing in longing, before shaking her head. She really did wish that could be-...
...
The young lioness stopped in her tracks, golden eyes narrowing in a squint. What WAS that thing prancing about out in the sand..?
Slowly, she tilted her head a bit, wearily eying the creature. It didn't look harmful at least. And she was part of the Firekin bloodline! She would have no fear even if it did look tough!
Head held high, she trotted forward to get a closer look at the unusual creature. If she remembered her father's teaching's correctly, it could be a Cheetah... Though she'd never seen one herself. It took her a few minutes, as the distance between them was large, but soon she slowed into a prowl, approaching from behind.
