Andromeda licked her paws, as she lay underneath the make shift shelter she'd made for herself in the woods. The voices she'd heard a while ago nearby, had disappeared. Now she was alone again. The gloom of lonliness began to settle, as she rested her head down on her paws, her grooming complete. The forest around her was still and quiet.
Tikwak crawled out though a hole that he had squeezed himself out of, it was a den, a small den but his, he had dug it out under some heavey roots of a giant tree, the opening was small to get in and out of, but there was purpose to that as not anthing bigger then he could manage to get in... and anything bigger was indeed a threat. He decided on a drink from the near by river and shook out his dirty fur, he trotted on happily trying to remember where he had buried some breakfast.
Andromeda woke from her doze at the sound of footsteps walking behind her somewhere. It sounded too big to be a forest creature, so it must be another Feli. Her instant reaction was to curl up and hide, having been so unused to talking to other Feli. But with a quick look up to the sky, a small reminder of the vastness of the world to her which bought her comfort, she stood, and followed the direction of the footsteps. She tried to keep well back, and walked as quietly as she could. She had decided to seek out company at long last, but was nervous about approaching the as of yet unkonown Feli. Tikwak yawned as he made his way though the woods to where he usually drank, his tummy growled and he thought of breakfast.. mmm that fat squirel he had hid the other night would do perfectly. His ears twitched as he started to hear soft padding in the distance and he slowed his pace down a little to make sure his scenses were correct that it was another feli. He carefully tried to hide himself though the brush but with his fur the color it was, it was hard enough for him, but he did an ok job. Its what made it so hard to catch his prey... He saw a blue figure making its way towards him and his nose told him it was possiably female.. unless it was one of those neutered feli's... They usually had the same scent as females for some reason. She was a nice distance away so he settled himself down in his hiding spot to watch her.
Andromeda kept walking, looking ahead of her to see if she could catch sight of the feli she had heard. The footsteps had stopped, but she knew they were travelling in this direction. Her tail flicked in agitation, she had never been good at hunting or tracking pray, barely managing to get by, and her lack of skills were showing, as she turned her head in every direction. A soft mewl left her lips, in disappointment. She considereg giving up, as she could no longer hear anything in her locality, when her eyes caught sight of something (someone?) much lighter in the gloom ahead. "Hello?" She called out, wondering if she would get a reply.
Tikwak stared at the female, not really feeling threatened by her as he was bigger then her, he decided to step out of the glade that he hid in. She seemed a little under fed from what he could tell from the looks of her and he wondered if she had eaten this week at all. He kicked his back feet shakeing off mud, though he appeared to have a matted dusty pelt and he wished he would have groomed this mornning. He wasn't expecting to see another feli pass this way though, especailly a female one. "Hello..." He said in a lureing tone, that was truely masculine. "Are you lost?" He questioned wondering what a lovely female like her was doing so far from the feli house.
Andromeda gasped as the other feli stepped out into view, shaking his paws as he did so. She'd never seen a Feli like this before, his fur looking like it needed a good grooming, but he looked wild, and more at home within this outdoor setting that she could have been. Andromeda attempted a smile, that showed just how nervous she was.
"No, I'm not lost. I live a way back, in a shelter. I prefer to be outdoors, that trapped within a house." Andromeda shuddered at the thought of being enclosed by walls. Andromeda struggled to find words to form a conversation, she didn't want to be alone again so soon, but didn'#t know what to say to keep the male in front of her engaged.
"Are you lost?" She blurted out, blushing at the statement, after she had said it. This Feli looked far too much at home to be lost anywhere.

Tikwak stretched out and pawed at the ground as she talked to him... upon hearing the last question he started to laugh.. him lost... he knew the woods well and prefered the outdoors to the house. Leaveing his owner in constant stress but he always went back once in a while to show he was still alive. He sat down and fluttered his wings "No... I live not far off from here, in a den by a large tree" He answered her, curious as to why she had made a home out here, since she looked half starved he thought she might be a indoor feli. "Do you want something to eat??" He said feeling sorry for her, she seemed too gentle to be left alone out in the woods by herself.. perhaps he should look at her shelter also, this wasn't the best place to be especially at night. He had run into a few animals that could tare him apart and his wings had saved him numerous times to bears and wolves.. but there had been some very close calls.
Andromeda blushed even more when the Feli before her laughed at her question. Although she gighed in relief when he said he also lived outside. She had began to think she was the only Feli who didn't go to the house.
At the mention of something to eat, she thought of her last meal, 2 days before, which consisted of 2 mice. Her stomach whined in protest as she looked to the more experienced Feli. "Food would be nice, Thank You. I don't get to eat very often." She smiled shyly at this other Feli, wondering exactly what he thought of her, as she much look like the silliest Feli ever. She shrugged off this thought, and carried on.
"I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Andromeda." She smiled again, as her fur started to sparkle slightly, her nervous mood obviously improving.
Tikwak smiled at her, he had not thought of introducing himself.. he rarely got the chance with so little feli in the woods and it never dawned on him to give his name. How silly of him! "I'm Tikwak" He said hopeing she wouldn't laugh at his name, he didn't have such a pretty name as Andromeda, in fact he had given it to himself since he wasn't around his owner much to remember his real name. He stood and started to sniff the ground, as he walked a ways from the river.. he hoped she would follow and he turned to look at her to make sure she was with him. He was starting to feel a little bit protective of her as his eyes lined the woods for any predators other then themselves. He always buried food for later and he hoped it had not gone bad, but with cold weather setting in it should stay pretty fresh in the cold ground. Winter would be easier to keep pray longer but he always hated how hard it was to eat once it was frozen. He watched her intently waiting for her to come. "I usually have something buried" He said turning back to head down a small path near to his den.. he had a plump squirrel and a couple mice he had saved from the day before. Though he wished he had a rabbit for her, it would have helped better.
Andromeda's eyes widened as the Feli told her his name. Tikwak seemed like such an exotic name, and she felt quite plain, and normal standing near such an obviously interesting Feli. He stomach continued to growl, as the thought of food became more and more appealing. As he walked off, she began to follow, her legs unable to keep time with his stride, so she trotted in a hope to keep up better. As she followed him down the path, she heard him mention the food he had buried. She had never thought of doing this, mainly because she was always so hungry when she managed to catch something, she had to eat it straight away.
"Thank You for sharing your food with me." She uttered, still jogging to keep up. "I hope you wont be going hungry because of it." She smiled, hoping that her comments wouldn't make him change his mind.
Tikwak kept on the path, he slowed his stride so that the female could keep up with him, he smiled at how careing she seemed to be, other feli he had met usually never worried about things like that. "I will be alright" He said softly as he made his way to a place under a tree, he dug at the ground until the squirrel happened to show through, he picked it up in his mouth and padded over to her to place it in front of her before turning back to dig up the couple of mice that was there also. "I usually stock up for a while when prey is scarce.. the cold weather is coming soon" He frowned thinking of that, it was hard to survive in the cold winters and he was happy for his den to shelter him. It was always warm and dry.. he wondered where she was staying she did say something about a shelter... "So where is it that you are staying? Perhaps we can go there after" He said wanting to see if she was ok at least if he left her alone afterwards.. he would hate to have another feli's death on his hands, espcially such a pretty female.
Andromeda was relieved when Tikwak said that he wouldn't go hungry. She also smiled quietly to herself as she realised he had slowed his stride, so she didn't have to trot to keep up with him.
As he placed the squirrel in front of her, she looked at it hungrily. She did like squirrel, but she so rarely managed to catch it for herself. She bent down as the other feli continued to dig in the ground, taking the opportunity not to be watched while she ate. she greedily bite down, taking a large chunk of squirrel. As she started to chew Tikwak asked his question about her shelter. She was grateful for the food in her mouth to give herself a chance to formulate a better answer. The shelter in question was nothing more than a few branches over a shallow pit, to help a bit with keeping out the elements. The weather wasn't such a problem, although with it turning cooler, Andromeda might struggle more. Finally she swallowed.
"My Shelter was back the other way from the river. It's not much really, but it keeps my warm, and dry and out of any harms way." Andromeda swallowed hard, as she decided to reveal her deepest secret. "I'm not very good in enclosed spaces, so I have to have open sides on things." Andromeda eyed the male warily, scared that her revealation would have her rejected.
Tikwak frowned as he listened to her.. her shelter might help her now but it in no way sounded safe or ready for winter... His eyebrows lifted as he heard the last bit.... He dug out the mice for himself and before he settled in on his meal he decided to question her "Afraid of inclosed spaces?" He asked curiously, he didn't judge her.. he had fears as well, such as being caught by his owner! Who would carefully lock him inside for as long as she could... "Will you be spending winter at the feli house?" He asked curiously after the first question, as he knew the shelter she was discribeing would in no way help her once winter set in... and hungry preditors came around but the feli house was safe... safe at a distance for him! He went there occassionally, he didn't mind as long as his owner was not there... He hated being locked up. He bit down into the mouse flesh starting at the tender middle.
Andromeda watched silently, as Tikwak considered the information she had given him. He hadn't laughed at her, which was the first good sign. After patiently watching him dig up the two mice, she heard the first question, to which her short answer was a meek "yes".
She visably paled at the suggestion of spending winter inside the Feli house. She had never thought of winter before now, but she knew in reality that her shelter would not be enough to keep her warm, and safe for the winter. "I hadn't planned on going to the Feli house, I'm really not sure I could go inside, I went in once, but I was very glad to come back out again." She watched Tikwak eat his mouse for a moment, before biting back into her squirrel again. She tried to consider an alternative to spending winter at the house, but could think of nothing that would offer warmth, and open space.
"I don't know what I'm going to do." She whined, close to tears at the thought of having to go inside.
Tikwak listened to her as he crunched though the mouse bones breaking them up in his mouth along with the meat and swallowing before talking. "hmm perhaps after we eat we can go look at it? Maybe it will be goon enough for winter if you do not want to go back to the feli house." He said understanding her when it came to not wanting to go back there, the woods has always been his home. He finished off the mice and started to lightly groom his fur after eating, he usually never took much care of his fur but with another feli present he should clean himself up a little.

Andromeda smiled weakly at the suggestion. "Yes, I suppose we could go look at my shelter, although I really don't think it would be good enough."
Andromeda watched the other Feli grrom himself as she finished off the last of her squirrel, she noticed, as the fur became clean the unusual markings of the Feli in front of her, blushing as she thought how handsome he looked, now that he wasn't quite so grubby! She quickly checked her own fur, only to be disappointed to realise her sparkles were not glistening and catching the light the way they normally did.
"Where do you live then?" Andromeda asked, as she licked her coat, attempting to produce some sparkle back into her pelt.
Tikwak stood and shook himself out as he listened to her, some of his leopard markings were starting show under the dirt he had managed to get out and he kicked dirt over the remains of some of the mouse parts he decided not to eat, not that prey that small would attract anything too big, but foxes were a hassle to scare off and he hated confrontations with them. "I live actually not far off from here as well... if you like I can show you later on" He said hopeing now that there meeting would continue rather then be just brief. He looked her over, she had a wonderful blueish coat and he had not noticed the sparkles yet until she had cleaned pieces of her fur, where he caught glints of what reminded him of stars. He shook his head, thinking he was imagineing things. He had not seen many feli but he didn't think they could sparkle. "Where would you like to set of first?" He asked wondering if she wanted to see his den first or even at all.
Andromeda looked up from her preening, glad to see the glittering lights finally showing some of their sparkle. "You said that your den was close by, so lets have a look at that, and then you can come look at my shelter, and see whether it would be ok for winter." Andromeda smiled, hoping that this friend wouldn't be too disappointed in her shelter, and she wouldn't look like a young kitten, barely able to survive when he saw how simply she lived.
"Oh, I forgot to say, Thank You so much for the food, it tasted delicious." she added, as she finished the last of her squirrel, feeling a lot less hungry than she felt before. Andromeda gave Tikwak a dazzling smile, alsmost as bright as her glittering stars.
Tikwak smiled and nodded to her a slight blush coming into his cheeks as she thanked him for the food, he now wished he had a rabbit to give her, they were much tastier then squirrel. He looked at her carefully as her glitter came though and his eyes widened, she was sparkleing and he was curious on how she was doing it.. would it be rude for him to ask?.. He blushed again when he realised he had been stareing and quickly got to his feet to lead her to his shelter. "You are very welcome for the food" He said not looking at her as he felt the heat of the blush in his cheeks and wanted to hide it. "My den is not far.." He said padding off in one direction, keeping his pace slower so that she wouldn't have struggle to keep up.
Andromeda managed to keep pace with the Feli, as he started off towards his Den. "So, How long have you lived out here?" She asked, to break the silence, which was making her a bit nervous, and uncomfortable. She also started to consider what sort of place his shelter was, she knew that foxes dens were small holes in the ground, and if Tikwak's den was also like this, she knew she wouldn't be able to go inside, without making herself look very silly. She hoped that he would accept that she wouldn't be able to go inside.
Tikwak enjoyed the walk the air was brisk and the trees were just getting a tiny bit of color. He walked along feeling the cool dirt on his paws, he turned to look at her now and then slowing his pace as he sometimes forgot the other feli was following him, he was so used to having no one. He smiled at her as she asked questions and stoped to sit to scratch the back of his neck with his hind leg. "I have lived out here since a kitten... I was born out here I think, I do not remember my mother. How long have you been living out here?" He finished his answer with a question. He didn't mind there silence as they traveled the short distance to the den and he stood again to trot off making his pace to match hers. Soon they came to a large oak tree that had rooted itself on a small hill, large roots sprang from the ground to fall all around in knots and twisted forms. Tikwak jumped up onto one of the roots and traveled up to the small hole that was the enterance to his home. He sat stretching out his leg to lick at his fur as he waited for her to make it where he was.
Andromeda happily followed along behind the other feli, and listened intently as he answered her question. smiling as the question was returned on her, she answered. "I moved out her shortly after I grew from a kitten, I played outside a lot, and much preferred being outdoors, nowing that the stars were up there in the beautiful, huge sky has always made me feel a bit better, more at home." Andromeda waved her paw towards the sky, to accentuate what she was saying. Andromeda continued to trot beside the feli, happy to feel he was being considerate and matiching her pace. She watched him jump up onto a tree root, beside a very small looking hole.
"So, this is your home?" Andromeda gulped as she wondered if she would be expected to go inside. Taking a deep breath, knowing she didn't want to appear so foolish in front of this feli, she jumped up beside him, and prepared to follow him into his home, if that is what he wanted.
Tikwak smiled and scooted into the hole, inside it was roomy and easy to move around in, It was dry and the dirt was soft, he had hay covering areas and grass that he had used for a bed. Most of all it was warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The only light came in from the small hole that he now was looking at wondering if she was going to come in... "Do you want to come in?" He asked pokeing his nose out of the hole.
Andromeda felt the panic rise as she watched Tikwak disappear inside the small hole. She didn't know what to do, this wasn't something she thought she could do. She stood there for a few moments, staring at the hole, trying to muster the courage to step inside. A nose popped out, making her jump. She heard the other Feli asking her inside, and she finally took a very deep breath, and entered inside the burrow. Andromeda suddenly had a well of conflicting emotions, pride and elation that she had managed to actually enter the small space, but as she began to take in her surroundings, the panic began to take over again. Her breathing became erratic, and very fast, her eyes were wide, and she didn't look so good. The walls appeared to be closing in on her, very fast, and she struggled to keep herself calm. "I can't, I just can't do this." She uttered, the panic evident in her voice, making it sound very different to normal. Before she could do anything else, her fears overwhelmed her, and she passed out.
Tikwak moved out of the way as she entered smileing he looked around his burrow proud of it. "This is my burrow" He said sitting and looking her over, he had not noticed anything was wrong until she spoke... what was wrong.. He bit his lip thinking it might have been him. He listened to the sound of her voice and paniced a little himself as he came to her side.. "Are....are you ok?" Maybe this is what she meant when she was talking about her fears earlier, he had not fully understood when she had told him. Rushing up close to her, he let her fall on him as she fainted, he hoped she had not hurt herself. After looking her over and making sure she was breathing he lightly picked her up by the scruff and dragged her over to the soft hay. He laid her down and licked at the fur on her face, hoping to wake her up.
Drom woke when she felt a wet sensation on her face. She was lying down, and she couldn't work out why. She also couldn't work out what was licking her face. She opened her eyes cautiously, and looked straight into Tikwak's eyes.
"wha... What happened?" She asked, feeling suddenly nervous being in such close proximity to the other feli, especially when she seemed to read concern in his eyes. Her brain refused to allow her to think back to what had happened moments before, and her eyes rufused to leave the gaze of the other feli, incase something terrible had happened.
Tikwak jumped back when she woke up, he had been busy cleaning her head that he had forgotten about what happened and her voice had scared him. Which lead to his cheeks becomeing very red.. "well... umm.. you fainted.. I was trying to wake you up" He finished the last bit fastly. He smiled and curled his tail around his feet, hopeing she couldn't make out his cheeks in the light darkness.
At Tikwak's words the previous few moments came flooding back to the scared Feli. Her eye's grew wide, as her breathing quickened, the panic rising in her again.
"I'm sorry, I need to get out." She blurted out. Rising to her feet, ignoring the wobbly sensation in her legs, she bolted towards the small opening. In her haste she knocked against her new friend, without really noticing. As soon as she gained accsess to the outside again, she felt calmer. The sight of the sky was a comfort, and she realised she might have hurt the other feli in her haste.
"Are you ok?" She called towards the burrow of the other feli "I didn't hurt you did I?". The situation suddenly became too much for her, as her legs gave way, and she collapsed down on the floor, fortunatly still concious this time.

Tikwak wondered what was wrong.. that was until he got hit in the side and head as she rushed passed him, he fell over from not expecting the blow and laid there dizzy for a moment, before trying to stand. "ohhh... ow" He said as he shook his head. He heard her voice and blushed again.. he didn't want to appear like he had been hurt. "I'm ok..." He said peeking his head out of the hole and smiling at her. "Are you ok??" He asked slipping out to sit on one of the big roots.

Andromeda sighed loudly with relief that she had not hurt the other feli. She stood and rushed over to him, giving him a quick lick on the cheek. "I'm so glad your ok." she gabbled. Then the realisation of what she had just done hit her, and she blushed deeply, her sparkles fading in her embarressment. "I'm such a fool, I'm so sorry for everything." she moaned, realising how young she sounded as she spoke. "I don't blame you if you would never want to see me again" she continued, ready to lose her only friend over her recent actions. Hanging her head in shame, she didn't dare meet the eye of the feli before her.

Tikwak opened his mouth in surprise as she licked his cheek, he paused smiling then widened his eyes as he heard what she was saying, why would she think that he would never want to see him again. Puzzled he moved over to her and gave her a lick on the cheek back. "Why would I not want to see you again because of that??" He said blushing a little realiseing she had been keeping her head down, he nosed her chin and smiled at her. She had done nothing wrong.

Andromeda almost gasped as she felt the other feli lick her cheek in return. She heard his question, then felt him lifting her head, so she could meet his eye. His smile was reassuring, but Andromeda's nervous disposition got the better of her, and she started waffling. "I just thought you'd think I was silly, because my fears made me faint, and then I panicked, and had to get out, and I hurt you, and then, and then, and then I KISSED YOU!" she finally blurted out the last part, a lot louder than she expected to, and again, felt her cheeks get hot.
After getting all that off her chest, she finally managed a shy smile at the feli before her. Wondering exactly what he must think of her now.

Tikwak blushed and you could see it plain as day on his whitish fur. He looked down at the ground.. she had kissed him.. he had never been kissed before and it had givin him a warm feeling all over... was it wrong to kiss each other? he thought.. "Well umm I... " He said trying to think of something to say he felt his cheeks hot and he looked up at her with timid eyes... he did feel strange about Andromeda.. he wanted to protect her and provide for her. "Is it wrong to kiss each other?" He said coming up with something quick to get rid of the silence between them. He put on a light smile and looked into her eyes.

Andromeda's eyes widened as she heard the question. He didn't seem to mind that she had kissed him, infact he seemed almost happy. His blush and his shy smile made him look very handsome, and he didn't seem to think of her as silly, quite so much.
"I don't think it's wrong no, unless you don't mean it." Andromeda looked at the feli, and giggled. The sudden seriousness of the situation making her giddy.

Tikwak was a little confused... what did she mean not mean it, did feli do that and not mean it? He had lived quite a sheltered life from the rest of the feli and at some times he seemed almost like a child just learning to do new things. "Don't mean it??" He asked and his smile turned to puzzlement as he thought about the question trying to answer it for himself. "Why would a feli do that and not mean it?" He said again rephraseing the question as if the first time he asked it was really to himself.

Andromeda had no idea what to say. She had meant to kiss him, she did have feelings for the feli, and she was now worried that he thought she didn't. He didn't seem to get the concept that some feli may not have feelings when they kissed another, and she wasn't sure how to explain without making it seem she didn't have feelings.
She did the only thing she could think of, she leaned forward and lick-kissed him again. She smiled at him shyly, and stepped backwards a few steps, trying not to get tangled up in the tree roots as she did so.

Tikwak felt good inside when Andromeda had done what she did, and his face blushed. He had sat stareing at her waiting for some sort of answer from her when she had reached over and licked-kissed him.. His face broke out into a grin as he stepped forward towards her and did it back to her and then nosed her face. Maybe if he was lucky she would be his mate. He had always dreamed of raiseing a family someday but with being so far away from the feli house he doubted he would ever find a mate. He hardly knew how to court a female and he hoped that he was doing it right.

((wow, finally an update, sorry for being so lame!!))
Andromeda couldn't help but let out a girlish giggle as Tikwak nuzzled her. It seemed she had managed to convey everything she needed to, and the feelings were reciprocated. Her sparkles finally started glistening again, brighter than before.
"Guess I wont be going back inside again anytime soon." she whispered, trying to lighten the mood a little. "I'm really sorry, for being such a silly Feli." Her nervousness and shyness previlant once again.
