Koorie sat outside dressed casually in sandals, a tank top, and a pair of think khaki shorts. For the first time in a long while, she wasn't wearing her deadly Stiletto heels and she now stood a good 5 inches lower than she normally was. Even without the heels, she was still tall, nearing almost five and a half feet.
Now, however, Koorie wasn't worried about hight or even others at this moment. Everyone on the island knew, as far as she was concerned, that she'd not hesitate to skin them alive and chuck them into the lake in front of her. Taking off her sandals, she dipped her feet into the water and returned to the notebook on her lap. Singing softly, she was righting down chords and possible tunes for the newest song that had popped into her mind. Her violin lay in it's case next to her, ready for her to use to test out the melodies.

Steve was, happy to say the least. Thinking back on the day, and all things considered, he was a in good spirits. Meeting people from the past had a habit of doing that! Shaking his head as he made his way back towards the water, he knew things were going to be very interesting in the next couple of days. He really needed to talk to Sarafina again.
He was shaken out of his revere by noting that another female had taken up residence near the water. Shaking his head and dialing on his charm, he walked over.
Might as well say hi.
"Hey there,"

Koorie froze when she heard the man behind her say hello. Slowly, she looked up and looked from side to side; surely he couldn't be talking to her, everyone knew to leave her be, for the most part. Unfortunately, there was no one here that he could be talking to aside from herself. Frowning, she looked over her shoulder and glowered at him.
"What do you want." She demanded coldly, twirling the pen easily between her fingers.

"Well uhm, I was just coming over to say hi," He said, eying the violin and pen and pad. Musician? Hell who didn't they hire here at Cronus? "But hey, if you wanna be left alone to do whatever, that's cool," He turned and started to head towards the trees. "Nice meeting you,"
Steve was not in the mood to get his face ripped off today, and that seemed to be the mood this girl was in.

"Whatever...." Koorie returned to her music, than sang softly as she went over what she'd just written.
"I can see when you stay low nothing happens Does it feel right ?
Late at night things I thought I put behind me haunt my mind
I just know there's no escape now once it sets it's eyes on you but I won't run, have to stare it in the eye"
She stopped and sighed. "No no... not right.... It just doesn't sound right..." She was beginning to get frustrated, she'd been at this song for several days now and she just couldn't get the right tune down. "Damn it...."(Song originally from Within Temptation- Stand My Ground)

Steve listened from the tree but didn't speak, enjoying the shade as he unpacked his guitar finally. He didn't really think she was doing it wrong as the fact that there wasn't any soul in the music.
But whatever, her music her way.
Strumming the guitar a bit, he started to play what he always did when he was bored.

Koorie sighed and closed her eyes; the song was really about herself and how she was feeling. It was the first time that she just couldn't get the right tune to something like that. Concentrating, she read over another melody she'd writen and opened her mouth to start singing... only to have her ears raped by an off key guitar.
"For Christ sake!" She shouted, clearly pissed off. "If you're going to play, at least properly tune it!"

Steve looked up and growled. "It's tuned just fine, so you can feck off sister," He said, grumbling and going back to strumming on his guitar. He kept it as well tuned as he could on the road, with a check up here or there. Nobody really ever complained, at least, he'd not heard any.
Besides, it was all part of the soul of the instrument.

"If it was tuned fine, then I wouldn't be wincing every time you played that damned G string." She pulled opened up her violin case and pulled out a small device. "Here, you can use this, it'll let you know how off key you are." In her hand was an electric tuner.
She wasn't happy with was an a** this man was, but music was her life, so helping him play better would benefit her more at the moment. It didn't, however, make her want to kill him any less.

Fugging b***h... Fiiiine, if she wanted him to tune his fecking guitar. FINE. Turning on the tuner... Which he didn't know how to use in the first place, he finally started to work on tuning his guitar. When he finished, he flung it back at her and started to strum again.
Didn't sound any damn different to him.
"Whatever..." He grumbled, and went back to ignoring her and focusing on the soul of the instrument.

Koorie caught it, the attack on her ears no longer as bad as before now that he was decently on key. Turning back to her music, she pulled out the violin and easily played the notes that would be her vocals. She didn't need to re tune her violin; she'd done so less than an hour ago.
The music flowed easily and beautifully off the violin, and there was a hint of sadness in it. Once she finished, she nodded. "Perfect...."

Steve was unimpressed by her music, but whatever, to each their own and all that. Strumming on this guitar he sighed, closing his eyes and looking up at the sky as he thought about today. So far it had been great, up until this little meeting.
Oh well, no sense letting one bad encounter ruin the day.

Koorie's eyelids shut half way as she began singing softly. This time, the words flowed smoothly and her voice rose and fell. The song was sad, but still strong, and her voice hit keys that most people couldn't. Once she finished, she fully opened her eyes and smiled a little. "Perfect...."
Taking her pen, she drew a circle around the melody that'd worked the best.

Steve got up at that point and started to pack his guitar. "Well, it's been fun," the sarcasm was evident in his voice, but he was tired of not being able to hear his own music over hers.
Granted partly rude on his part for intruding, but whatever...
"But I've got to go find a friend of mine and see how they are holding up... and then seen if I can find out what the hell I'm supposed to be doing..."

That was it, Koorie was sick of this guy for acting like such an a** when he was the one who'd approached her. Snarling, she snapped her violin case shut loudly and stood up, striding over to him, taking off her sandal, and quickly making a move of slapping it across his face furiously.
"You are such an a**." He was new here and he'd learn quick enough what everyone else knew about her; she was a force to be reckoned with.
