Really early in the morning, about 3am. It's still dark. Rain forest, not too far from the coast, south of the Human Settlement
Lexie lay on the damp rain forest floor, it's due soaking into her fur, making her increasingly colder. Even though her average temperature was usually that much higher than a normal Palui's, this was pushing the limits, and she was only near the coast. If she was atop one of the islands mountains, she would probably freeze to death. But, this cold was probably from the due making her so wet and soggy. Lexie hated being cold.
She was becoming increasingly tired, but she just couldn't fall asleep. She'd been trying for hours now, to drift off in the safest place she could be bothered to get herself to. The base of a tree. Of course, she could have climbed the tree and rested there, but she really didn't have the energy, and it was just so cold... Lexie yawned, and stretched her front legs out. She was so stiff from laying down for so long, but that didn't stop her from re-assuming her position curled up on the floor.
Her eye lids were heavy, and they kept closing, but popping back open again, even though Lexie was eager for them to stay closed and let her drift off. She was just so tired, and so cold.

"Come on ,babeh..Cmon now..." Helios muttered, stretching his little muscles as far as possible. "Nearly...There..." The large red palui reached for the bright red fruit hanging from a tree, and with Helios's horrible vision, not-so-good depth perception, and unablitity to reach far enough, it was taking a while.
"Yes!" Helios whisper yelled, feeling the round bottom of the beatiuful apple at his fingertips. He then leaned his weight back, tugging at the little thing to pull it off of it's tree.He uses his feet to puch against the trunk of the tree, his little claws digging into the apple's juiciness. "Yeah babe, thaat's the stuff...Just a litttle bit farther..."
Snap! The apple finally tore off of it's limb, sending Helios gleefully falling off the highest part of the tree. "Wooooooh! Yeah!" He yelled, flailing his arms around mid-air....
And then he fell on something fluffy... And blue...

Lexie finally felt herself slipping into sleep, at long last, when suddenly, "Oof!". Something rather large, and heavy landed on top of her, winding her completely. Gasping for air, Lexie scrambled out from underneath whatever it was that landed on her, and scampered off in a panic as quickly as she could, choosing to hide behind some foliage not too far from the tree base.
There she sat, wheezing and coughing, trying desperately to draw a decent breath of air, rather than the short sharp gasps that did nothing for her. Her eyes were wide open, her whole body tensed, her ears flicking about wildly, listening for any new signs of danger. Slowly, she felt her breath coming back, and her breathing slowed down, but she was still in shock.
She turned to fix her eyes on whatever had landed on her to see two flames, one orange and one...blue, atop a rather large red Palui. No, it couldn't be, could it? But then again, he was the only Palui that she knew who would do such a thing.

"Uhhhhhg." Helios groaned, after the fluffy furball under him scittered off. "OMG, m'love! Are you okay? Babeh, I didn't mean to crush you!" Helios asked...the...apple. "Baby, don't leave me now, tell me my efforts weren't in vain!" The apple's contents had been spilled out, and it lay there, silently. "NOOOOOOOO!" HE flopped onto his back, taking a deep sigh. 'So no applesauce, today, I guess. '
"Anyone there?" Heliso tilted his head to look at the bushes Lexie had darted into, still prawled on his back. He was finally taking notice of the thing he had fallen on.

Lexie didn't know whether to be shocked, angry, or down right scared. It was him! That large fire Palui from before, with two different coloured eyes, and a rather weird personality. Helios.
Lexie stayed crouched down behind the bush, just staring at him, for a few minutes. Could he not see her green flames? Well, obviously not. To be honest, she didn't actually know what to do. Have a go at him for giving her the shock of her life? Greet him, and say long time no see? Or should she even reveal herself.
Lexie gulped, wondering what she was going to get herself into, and began to move slowly forwards, pushing her nose out into the open, away from the cover of the leaves.

Ooc||: Yes, that was a pretty big epic fail xD <3 But now I epic fail ;_;
Lexie felt herself go half limp from being squeezed so tightly. She had to say, she was rather surprised. Helios wouldn't usually hug a girl, well, from what she knew of him. How nice of him. But then again, he might be hugging her just so she would forget that he nearly crushed her just a few moments ago.
"Helios, do you realise what you just did?!" Lexie tried to ask as calmly as possible, while she patted his back in greeting. She would have been more enthusiastic, but considering the situation, she wasn't going to be. If he apologised, she would forgive him and brighten up, but not for now.

"I.. made your day a whole lot better?" Helios said iinnocently whiles stroking his chest fluff and waving his tail back and forth. It was a pretty oblivious guess, but cmon. It was Helios. Helios smiled and blinked, before rolling off of her to make another attempt at getting an apple.
He hesitated for a moment, thinking about an apology... Of course, HE wouldn't apologise, Lexie would have to apologize for squishing his Early Morning snack. Nothing...'Girls are so emotional!' Helios thought, mentally doing an eyroll. "Sorry for falling on you..." Helios muttered, embarrassed that he would have to apologise to a girl. His father always said they were inferior, and his grandfather said to be polite, and courteous to them.
So he was some wierd mix of 'be nice to them, they're inferior to you,'. And he lost his memory before he could develop a sense of thinking for himself.
Thus leading to the awkward moment he was in.
Helios walked a way from the tree for some distance, and then rammed headfirst into it as fast as possible. His head hurt, but an apple fell form the branches!

Lexie was about to make an angered comment on how it was very early morning, and how she had been trying to sleep. And also go into detail about how his landing on her had hurt quite a lot. But she would probably feel it more in a few hours time. But, his words surprised her into silence. Did he just, apologise to her? Ok, she had hoped he would, and thought it would have been nice, but she didn't think he would actually do it. This was Helios after all, and she knew how little he thought of girls, so apologising to one couldn't be very high on his list of things to do. It actually made her a little embarrassed at his sudden out of character actions.
"Don't worry about it" Lexie mumbled quietly, turning her head away to hide the embarrassed look smothering her face.
It was then that she heard a loud bang, and looked up to see that he had rammed his head into the tree, and an apple had fallen from the branches. She couldn't help but laugh. He really was a funny character, doing very strange things. "Really Helios, what are you like? If you keep hitting your head like that, you'll really do some damage" She chuckled, padding slowly over to him, a smile on her jaws.

Helios shook his head, oblivious to whatever she had said while he was ramming his head against a tree. It had hurt, yes, but it was worth it. The apple that had fell onto the forest floor was big and round, and totally worth a minor headache. Helios beated and smashed at the new apple until it finally turned into an easily edible pile of applesuace.
Helios ears perked up at the sound of Lexie's voice. "The worst injury I've inflicted to my head, is the egotistical lie that keeps growing on the inside. . ." Helios blurted, before stopping a few moments to stare blankly at the ground. Helios snapped back to normal, and watched curiously as she stepped forward. "well I was just about to head to the human Settlement, which is quite an odd place... not to mention how dangerous traveling anywhere would be for a girl. So I'de love to stay and pamper you, SugarQueen, but I have some stuff to do..." And with that, Helios slammed down as much of the Apple remains as he could, before squating down and slowly crawling on his belly towards the human settlement.

Lexie tilted her head with curiosity when Helios's mood seemed to change dramatically. He seemed to become a kind of solemn serious, which was very alien to Lexie to be coming from this Palui. His words, almost troubled her, but, she didn't really know whether she could take what he said seriously or not. Helios could be very surprising at times, maybe this was just another one of them.
But, at his next comment, Lexie couldn't help but burst out into hysterics. She should have really been angry at the way he made out that she was a pretty useless thing, and that she needed to live in luxury to be happy, but the thing was, what he had said was so absurd. Helios knew - or at least, she thought he knew - that Lexie lead a far from luxurious life, and traveling was all she seemed to do. Plus, she was highly interested in seeing the Human Settlement, so tell her that would only mean that she would follow him, which she did, still laughing. "Seriously Helios, that's one of the stupidest things you've ever said to me. I would have thought you would know better about me" She giggled, not bothered to crawl, but rather walk slowly next to him.
