Kallisto often ran for pleasure, or simply to ensure that her body remained healthy and therefore attractive, but today she was running with the purpose of being as far away from the psychotic Reya mare as possible. Snorting to herself, the slender Ichsa slowed from a full gallop to a high-kneed trot and peered over her shoulder. It seemed that the other mare had tired of chasing her, thank the Gods and Goddesses. Some people could be so unreasonably possessive of their mates; it wasn’t even as if she’d really got anywhere with the handsome stallion but there you had it, crazy possessive b***h.
Snorting again, the dappled mare slowed to a halt and stood there in the rich green grass of D’ob, panting in a most inelegant fashion. Hoping that she didn’t look too disheveled, the pale-eyed Ichsa shook herself and made slowly for a glimmer of light off to her left that must be sun shining on water. She needed a drink badly.

Xavier had been near by the river at the time the mare had been looking for water. He didn't know what was comming or who.He just new someone would be comming by the waters soon.He stuck his muzzle down into the river and took a deep refreshing drink.Xavier then lifted his head up looking around.Noticeing a Ichsa heading towards the waters.
He decided not to be rude and back away from the waters. He didn't want to have any fights. He stood back and lowered his head.He watched her.Xavier whinnied lightly and snorted. This Ichsa didn't seem that bad by how she was comming towards the river. She was sure huffing and puffing.Maybe she was chased or wanted to get away from someone.Xavier tilted his head a little.Watching.

At the whinny, Kallisto raised her head from the water. A Bae was before her, black and green, a stallion. She smiled at him, because she liked to smile at strangers. “Greetings, stranger,” the flaxen-maned mare said with a brief dip of her head, “I do hope I’m not imposing upon your territory.” As if a little shrimp like him could hold any, but it was as ever the thing to say. People liked it when you thought, or pretended to think, that they were a lord, someone of note. This one... well she could put up with him for a time she supposed; he really wasn’t attractive enough in her eyes to serve any particular purpose right now. She had need of a herd and an inappropriate lover, not a little Bae who whinnied for her attention.

Xavier blinked at her."Hello."He smiled. Was she as nice as she acted or looked?"Oh no.This isn't my Territory.Just a place I like to lay and enjoy."He watched her some more.Maybe she didn't really care for this little bae of himself was here.Maybe the little whinnie ruined it for him to make a new friend. How in the world would he know?He wouldn't.'"I'm Xavier."He bowed some and came back towards the waters slowly."Who might you be?"

The flaxen-maned mare smiled again. “I’m Kallisto,” she said with a nod, “glad to see a face that doesn’t seem to want to tear my throat out; that’s why I was running you see, a rather unfriendly encounter a way back... Still, she doesn’t seem to have followed me and it’s quite a nice day now I stop to look.” It was really, and a nice rest stop was a very appealing idea even if she couldn’t see herself wishing anything of the stallion before her. Still, casual conversation would do for today; she still needed to find herself a herd to support her when she found the right inappropriate stallion to have foals with. D’ob was, she assumed, packed full of herds, but not very interesting ones so far as she could tell. Ah well, so it went she supposed.

"Nice to meet you Kallisto."He listened to her.She was so interesting."Sounds like a heck of a day.Sorry what your going through. And it is quiet a nice day."Xavier took a nice drink again. He was having a great time listening to this mare. She was beautiful and everything. But she was a Ichsa."What would you like to talk about?"

The pale-eyed mare blinked rapidly a few times as her mind flailed for a topic to bring up with a stranger. Usually she was good at this kind of thing, very good indeed, but the Bae’s abruptness had thrown her a little. “Well,” she said eventually with a smile, “why don’t you tell me a bit more about yourself? Where you’re from, your family; that kind of thing?” It wasn’t as though she had anything better to do right now after all, and she might find out something interesting from the green-winged stallion.
He did have rather lovely curls, and of course having foals with a Bae would be scandalous in the extreme but she couldn’t see their colours blending well and even if they would have done she couldn’t see any particular Interest in his eyes as it were. Yes, far better just to be friendly and she if she could gather any interesting tidbits from him and then move on.

Xavier watched her a bit. What was she thinking?Heck he wouldn't ever know."Well My Father is Vartan.I really don't remember my mother or sister.I never see them anymore.I'm from one of the rivers."He took another drink.Closeing his eyes and breathing in and out.He was haveing a good time atleast.
She really didn't seem to like him.She was so friendly though."Well to tell you the truth I was atacked by a purple and black mare with a cross on her rump. She had a big horn with a curved edge at the stop. And she had bat like wings."He wasn't so pround of that."I tried my hardest to fight back.I did get cut and a couple bruses but I was okay."
He didn't think she wanted to hear his life story. His life wasn't that imortant that he thought of.

Kallisto rolled her eyes and smiled. “Quite the day for disagreeable Reya mares, isn’t it? The one out for my blood was one of the breed too, but she wasn’t black or cross marked. I’ll keep my eyes open for one of that description though; I don’t want to get myself mixed up with unpleasant sorts.” Whatever could he have done to get himself chased? Ha, perhaps he’d done as she herself had and hit on the mare’s mate. That only left her to wonder whether this Xavier was gay, and had been hitting on a stallion, or if the Reya mare had been gay and he’d been trying to get with her girl. It was fun to wonder such things, even if she knew that she was most likely wrong about the circumstances of his beating.
“You happen to know of any herds around here?” the pale eyed Ichsa asked after a moment with a tilt of her head to the black stallion before her. “I’m rather looking to join up with one, you see, but I’ve not run into any right around here yet.”

"About me?"He did blink alot when she said about him."Uhhh..."His eyes shifted around."Well,"He sighed to refresh himself."Well,I came out of the fruit a year ago I believe. And my mom is kinda mean,my sister is the same, and I sorta take after my dad.My colors come from my mom.Well,I came from the D'ob.I believe so.And I'm not sure what else."He looked up to her.She was rather tall. And pretty to be exact.
"Not exactly."He listened to her talk."Well,I'm not really in a herd I don't think. You should ask about many. And see what ones you like.Make options?Right?"

Kallisto smiled slightly and nodded to the Bae’s words. “Quite; you need to know what choices are out there before you commit yourself to anything that big and important.” The thought that any herd in Urin might not want her didn’t even cross the graceful Ichsa’s mind. After all, she was very beautiful, and very good at flattering people. Yes, she could join any herd she wanted to, it would be easy.
“I know what it’s like not to get on with your family,” she added another a moment with a contemptuous snort. “My father was a fool, I’m glad to be out of his herd.” How dare he replace her. She had been his little princess her whole life, but the moment her brother got himself a pretty piece she didn’t matter anymore. She would make her father ashamed, oh yes, she would ruin the name of his bloodline, his herd, everything and she’d have fun in the process too. Oh yes, life was looking good, and the sooner she found a herd her father would hate to become a part of the better.

Xavier smiled at her."Right."Her and Him did get alone very well. They had the same perspective on things. He nodded."My mother was sorta a witch. Then my father was a romantic stallion. He didn't really want to get with my mother. She had foals with him. Then I think she left him."He watched her face to see if any expression showed up on her face."You know. You are a very pretty mare. You could get in a herd or any stallion you really liked in a snap of a twig.Well."He laughed."You are one great mare.I like to be around you."He smiled.Xavier wanted her to have the best stallion she could find. She desurved it.

Kallisto raised her eyebrows when he spoke of his mother. “Sounds like you’re better off without her in any case,” she snorted with a shake of her head. The rest of what he had to say made her smile a secret smile inside. Oh yes, she could get anywhere or anyone she wanted. Beauty and cunning; what more could anyone ever need? Not much, certainly. Sadly brilliance had a tendency to attract insects too, but that was just the price you paid.
“I do hope so,” the pale-eyed mare went on with a soft smile, “nobody likes to be rejected after all...” Frowning slightly, the dappled mare turned her eyes to the sky. Hum, well it was probably about time she was moving on now. She wanted to find nice food and a comfortable place to sleep. She needed to head north soon too, to have the two-legs take off her bracelets and rub her legs down. “I should be going now,” she said as she looked back down at the green-winged Bae, “I need to go up and visit the two legs and I need to get there quite soon... Perhaps though we’ll see each other again some day.” Perhaps they would; it was a small world after all.
