Hi guys! I just wanted to ask some advice on what to do...or rather how to deal with a friend thats well...err, read on if you have time.
So, here it is, Ive got this real life friend who I met in a club (the club hasnt accepted me as a member yet.) and at first he was nice, he went to Gaia like I do, he also likes art, hes basically okay to some people. But what really pisses me off about him is that he goes to each and every website I go!!! >__<. (yeah, its just me being selfish) and, what i hate about him too is that he posted my pictures (my art on deviantArt) and used them on his website without my permission! I asked him properly to take them off the site but then he still hasnt. Ive been nagging about it for weeks and he still insists.
And he also copies my art style...I really hate it.
Im quite embarrassed about him coz he doesn't speak good english and he doesn't know good online values and how to treat people online. (his grammar is all screwed up) . X|
Yeah, i am mean...but I cant take it anymore! Ive been looking for him, but i cant seem to see him at school. thats why I contact him via email... and he replies late. stressed
any advice...its a small prob that im making big. but i cant take it anymore.
*sniffles* he is also hard to talk to...he makes a lot of excuses and brags a lot. *sigh*

I dont blame you - the simple fact he is using your art without your permission is REALLY freaking rude and rather disrespectful - his english maybe bad but you should really try and communicate this to him that you really are not happy with him just using your art like that D: you need to say and let him knopw you are serious.. he sounds like someone i would never want to meet to be honest D:
and there is no excuse D: if hwe doesnt take your art down i would threaten to talk to someone with more power and getting it removed.

Do you put watermarks on your art? ;3
What kinda club is it? Like.. some guild on gaia or club at school? and how long have you been friends with him for? confused Anyway I can only advise that you don't give him arts and like I said, watermark your arts. Oh and what sui said is good too.

Thank you for the reply guys. ^^ and sorry for the dealy in my reply...Ive been busy yesterday and the day before.
And yeah, I'll do what Sui said,try and look for him in school and confront him. I'm also guessing hes been hiding from me...He doesn't show up on club meetings.
@Sui Thanks Sui! but, i do not want other people to get involved with the prob. Thank you for the concern. ^__^
@Zeh Rickster Its a university art club (some club at school). I'm not a full-pledged member yet but they're using my art on their website, on the front page. THE NERVE Ive been friends with him for a couple of months, Ive helped him much in gaia, like taking commissions and stuff. I didnt give him my art, he just grabbed it from my dA account.
and today i checked the club's website/forum and my art is still there but he now included my name at the bottom of the pics. Guess he was reading my emails after all...but still insisting on putting it up and not getting rid of it.
gah! I'm tired of him...the best i could do for now is hunt for him!

no ^^ I think he doesnt. O__O... and errm, im not so sure about watermarking my art...watermarks sometimes ruin the art specially when its too big. But, yeah i should! 3nodding but I'll make it as small as possible.

yus yus At least he has put your name by it, but i hate watermarks personally. They ruin le arts mostly, but ive heard of some sneaky artist finding a very sneaky way of putting ther sig on their work and such <3 so maybe something like that may help in future <33

ahh, yes.
I guess I'll try some sneaky way...I saw an episode of Matentei Conan(anime, detective type story) where this artist was hired to make artwork for someone else. This certain someone claims that he makes the pic but when things needed to be settled out, i mean, they needed to know who the real artist was, the Real artist pointed out a butterfly shaped print made with nail polish on the lower corner of each canvas. So there was proof that she really was the artist since she adores nail polish a lot, and only women use nail polish right?

۞ ۞ thats a really good idea <3 and yus i understood it fine C: i like that idea - its harder digitally to put something on sneaky like. but i do try to sometimes put my own twists of items on and such to make it look like its my work - but i doubt anyone would try and use my art xD
