AIM LOG: Illuseon and Kitsune Mistress Nyoko
Despite his burly and rather large physique, Imara'Maji was quite agile. In a matter of moments he'd hopped from the riverbank, rock to rock, almost to the opposite bank, a large smile on his kind face as he stared at the swift and frothy water beneath him. His tail wriggled joyfully behind his wide frame, back haunched over to improve his view of the rushing water as he prepared. For what? The blue-coated lion plopped his tummy down on the rock he'd chosen before taking a deep breath, stopping the air flow with the clasp of his jowls. Then, with a toothy grin, he suddenly thrust his head into the water! The scene probably seemed rather odd to any onlookers...
Uziwa stopped in the middle of his journey along the river to stare at the lion. He'd never seen a lion just stick his head in a river. But then again, everyone wasquirky in their own ways. So he hopped over to the rock in from of Maji's, curiously nudging the lion's mane with a paw.
Suddenly, just as the paw had come into contact with the lion's mane, a surge of bubbles erupted to the surface of the water all around his submerged head. Maji's body had become rigid, tail frozen, yet his head was still under the water, still with bubbles flowing to the top. Was he just slow to react? Did he think he was any safer with his face buried in the water? It didn't take him long to realize that nothing good was coming from his keeping his head under water, so without warning he whipped it back, gasping for air as his face and the front of his mane dripped with water. "Y-yes? Who's there?" Poor thing, he's not very observant it seems.
Uziwa laughed softly, and shifted to peek into Maji's eyes with a goofy grin. "Just me! I didn't mean to scare you," he said lightly, tail swishing at his haunches as he sat down on the rock he was perched on. "I've never seen a lion with his head stuck in the water before!"

"Oh!" Maji turned slightly to the smaller, teal-coated animal seated on a rock not far from his own with an inquisitive look on his placid face. "Never?" With a blink, he proceeded in shaking the water from his mane, sending droplets flying all around. "I just wanted to get a better look at the water, that's all! Isn't it lovely?" He smiled a warm and innocent smile and his tail commenced its wriggling.
"Of course the water is lovely! All nature is beautiful," Uziwa said, laughing and watching the lion's tail wriggle with a huge grin. "I'm Uziwa-mzao."
With another blink, Maji smiled. He liked this 'Uziwa-mzao' more and more by the moment! "I'm glad you think so! I do love the water~" Forgetting his manners for a moment, the lion seemed to be staring past Uziwa, probably thinking about water. He wasn't a very hard lion to figure out. "-Oh!" Maji gave his head a quick shake before looking at his new acquaintance apologetically. "I'm so sorry about that! My name is Imara'Maji. Pleased to meet you, Uziwa-mzao." Ever the good mannered beast, Maji bowed his head lightly.
"Please, call me Uziwa!" the hyena laughed, bowing in return and grinning and idly shifting to hop to another rock. He moved to hold his breath and stick his own head in the water, curious as to what Maji truly saw in it... It was actually really interesting, seeing water from the perspective of the fishes.

Maji watched Uziwa with interest and a little surprise as he dipped his head into the water, much like Maji had done so just moments before. What an interesting creature! And so friendly too. Sometimes it seemed hard to find creatures like this- he felt lucky for being able to gain the friends he had so far! As he sifted through his thoughts, he chuckled at the hyena while he waited for him to come back up so could tell him just to call him 'Maji.'
It wasn't much later that Uziwa surfaced, and he looked at Maji with a huge grin. "It's like a different world down there!" he enthused, hopping back over to his previous perch and laughing.
"Isn't it though!" Maji grinned right back at Uziwa before taking an impressive leap over to the bank. He turned back to him with a smile, standing upright with his tail swaying in its usual manner. "By the way, feel free to just call me Maji! Imara'Maji is so long~" Glancing down at the water, he took a few steps forward until it covered his front paws. "Ahh, it feels so nice, doesn't it?"
"Maji is much shorter, I do agree!" Uziwa laughed, following after Maji and leaping into the water, landing in a location where the cool liquid just brushed his stomach. "It does! I need to go swimming more often."

Maji shifted his eyes about with a crafty smirk and waded further into the water as inconspicuously as such an honest creature could. His tail remained above the water, swaying slower now, but still often. Grinning, Maji narrowed his eyes slyly, looking back to the hyena. "Well it's a good thing you like water becaaause-" Quick as a flash, Maji had tackled Uziwa into the water, gently of course as he was conscious of his size. "Ha!"
Uziwa laughed as he was tackled into the water, rolling in the water and grinning as he surfaced. "Nice! But your size is your downfall!" he said, darting around to leap on Maji's back from behind before the lion could react.
"Guh-!" Maji spun around as quickly as he could- but it was no good! "Oh, you're gonna get it!" With a grin, he waded further into the water until it was deep enough for him to take a deep breath and go under. He floated serenely for a moment before opening his eyes, cheeks poofed out, eyes searching for Uziwa.
It wasn't hard for Uziwa to avoid Maji, even in the water with his movements slowed. He could already tell this was going to be the start of a beautiful friendship...
