"In a world...Where crickets...Are MONSTERS..." Akina murmured in a deep voice. She was belly-down on a soft patch of grass, her two paws shielding a green cricket, but leaving just enough of a gap so that she could see it well, despite it being shaded by her shadow. "One girl...One cub..." she continued, leaning her face closer. Her golden eyes glowed. "Must SAVE--"

The cricket abruptly leapt at her nose, causing her to squeal and jump to her feet. She watched in despair as the cricket flew away. Clenching her teeth in frustration, she slapped a blue-padded paw on the ground. "STUPID THING!" she yelled. But she wasn't about to let it get away. She shook the length of her body, flicked her tail, and ran after it.

Akin trodded along the very edge of the Kusini lands, being very careful not to pass the borders. He had heard of what lied outside his pride's territory and he was fairly certain he would be even more frightened out there than he was in his own home. He felt foolish for being fearful of the pride he came from and staying there anyways, but whenever he thought of leaving he reminded himself of all the positive things he had going for him there. He had all his brothers and sisters - and there were a lot of them - and his mother and father - they were both loving and supportive of him, despite his phobias. Sure, outside the pride he might find a place without spirits hiding in forests, but what about his family? He wasn't sure one was really better than the other.

As he continued along his path, waving a pink furred tail, the young hybrid looked out curiously towards the 'outside'. There didn't seem to be anyone around him and Akin had managed to calm his nerves for the moment. Before taking another step, however, he heard a sudden squeal and felt a shiver run down his entire body as all his fur stood on end. Akin stopped where he was, trembling at the border. That wasn't somebody in his lands... he knew the voice sounded farther away. What did he do!? What did he do? He knew enough about the rogue lands to know they weren't organised the same way his pride way. The voice sounded scared! He couldn't just leave them alone!

CRAP!

Akin pawed the ground in a circle in preparation and then suddenly ran towards the noise. "I'll help youuuuuu!" He said, his body trembling.
