It was so hot! So ridiculously, disgustingly hot! The brown mare trotted down the path, trotting only because she'd reach her destination faster if she trotted and just walking in this sort of weather was practically out of the question.
She was headed toward the lake near her home, even in this sort of weather and this time of year, the water was always deliciously cool; she knew she'd feel normal the moment she jumped in. Right now she was feeling hot and bothered and even with her natural kind temperment, this sort of weather wore it thin. At least she wasn't near Azariel though? Az wasn't always pleasant at the best of times and with this sort of weather...Fudge practically shivered at the thought.
Brown eyes alighted on a turn just up ahead and she knew that she was only a few moments away from lovely cool water. She sped up just a bit, wanting more than anything to get to the water sooner.
