I have a question on something that kinda confusses me. God is in my heart, i ask him forgivness of my sins, but something bugs me. For instance, this IS NOT the case but if God wants me to get rid of a song, and i dont, will i go to hell for disobeying Him? I know it sounds extreme, but i have a reason. Theres something that i have thats not bad exactly, but i just feel like in a way maybe God doesnt want me to have it..but also, it could just be my mind scared of losing it. But if God did want me to get rid of it, and i didnt..would God send me to hell for that? Yes, you can go to heaven if God's in your heart, but you have to obey him too. i'm just kinda scared right now.

No, end of story. The only way a person will end up in Hell is by rejecting Christ Jesus as the true Lord and Savior of the world. It's like Jesus said "There is no sin that the Son of Man can not forgive except blaspheme of the Holy Spirit/Unforgivable Sin." Which, is in fact, reject Jesus Christ.

So no, you will not be sent to Hell for listening to a "dirty song," nor would you be sent to Hell if you had a dirty car~ Does that help?

i might need to explain better. I have an addiction problem with a certain thing. Theres a guild on here that helps with that. It helps against it, but at times it makes things worse on my part. Its a helpful guild, but it also makes my addiction worse (sometimes) I dont know what God wants, i dont know if my mind is afraid to lose the guild, because i have so many friends on there, i'm even a mod of it. But, if God is telling me to not get on it...and i dont? i'm mean i'm scared i'll not go to heaven for not obeying God. Yes, God forgives sins, but we cant just do whatever.

I think I understand what you're saying. If you've received a conviction from God in your heart about the issue and you believe God's encouraging you to turn away from the things that might cause you to give into said addiction/habit then it would be wise to heed such a conviction. God knows what you're going through and he also knows when you're weakening. Giving in to coersion is not the same as deliberately going out of your way to disobey God. It's important for you to know that difference.

If you still accept the Spirit into your life, you're not going to hell. The very fact that you're questioning whether or not to do what your faith is telling you to do shows that the Spirit is still in your life.

Why would you lose the guild if you did/didn't do something? Are they not there for support? What support would they be if they were to reject you?

Hm... I have to agree~ And I'm gonna' PM you because I have a hitch on what may be your problem (don't ask why, I just think I know what it is!) Anyways, if you do feel that God is leading you to pull away from that Guild, then I suggest you pray to him for guidance and understanding~

Uh, I don't think she said God was encouraging her to leave the guild.

i dont know if he is or not. I felt in a way that he was, but i'm not for sure. the thing is, i dont know if i can. I have so many friends on there, they all know me. I love that guild. And lately, there havent been many mods on, other than me and another. That worries me. If God doesnt want me on the guild, i dont know if i can do it or not. The though of disobeying God scares me, but i dont want to get rid of something that i'm not even sure God is telling me to do..but even so, i dont know if i can or not. and i'm scared of what would happen if i didnt obey God.

You seem to have avery cruel image of God O_o

Don't think of him so much as a judge.
Think of him as a loving Father.

He may guide us away from things that are not part of his original plan for us or may be bad for us in some way (but maybe not for someone else).

God may steer a certain person away from hanging out in certain circles that may lead us away from Him. But some people have a stronger faith then others, for them, it woud be okay. That person is in less danger and may witness more effectively than the person who's faith is weak. It doesn't make it wrong if the first person fights the pull if they do it out of love for the people they want to be around.

He may simply be trying to guide you away from things that might be a danger to your faith. It's advice and like any good parent, He won't love you any less for not following that advice but will help you out of the hole when you call and will forgive you when you repent.

And it may even be that God isn't telling you 'stop', simply 'be careful'.

Yeah, but admittedly, there are those times when certain people make me want God to be that Big Mod in the sky with His Cosmic Banhammer so He can ban them from life. xd

Well it has been answered. You won't go to hell.

That doesn't mean you are free to do whatever you want. God forgives, sure. There is still punishment. God is just, remember that.

Usually if God tells you to do something or get rid of it. No matter how much you want to keep it, for the best of everything you should give it up. God tests us to see if we will follow him. God tested abraham, he almost made abraham sacrifice his own son, and abraham would have. It hurt him to think about it, but he did it because he trusted God.

You have to trust God also.

The thing is, yes, we can just do whatever. We have free will- we can do whatever we want within the barriers of this physical world, and even then, there are things (like flying) that we can do even against the constraints of physics. Does that mean there won't be consequences? Absolutely not. Rejecting Jesus Christ will earn you a spot anywhere but in His kingdom. Can you reject Him? If you want. But then you must deal with the consequences. Can you continue to be a member of a guild, and even mod it, if it causes you to sin? Absolutely. But then you must deal with the consequences of that sin, which is usually a deteriorating relationship with Jesus. The only reason God calls us to do things that make us uncomfortable is because He sees a better way for us, and knows that doing something different will bring us closer to Him. That's all He wants from us- that's all He's ever wanted: us. When it gets down to it, you have to decide what you want more: a strong relationship with Christ and the peace of His joy and guidance in your life, or this one thing can cause you to sin? You may lose the prestige of modding a guild, you may even lose some friends (hopefully they'll still talk to you outside of the guild if you choose to quit), and that is the consequence of quitting. But you gain a strengthened relationship with the King of kings in exchange. So it's up to you.

This verse that I've been meditating on for the past week might help you as well:

1 Corinthians 6:12
Everything is permissible for me- but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible for me- but I will not be mastered by anything.
