Seriously. Did anyone have a Albus Severus flashback when they saw Renesmee?

Come on.

When will authors learn?
Why couldn't we have a "Bob" or "Susie"?

And as soon as I saw the poor child's name, I knew at once what her middle name was.

I laughed maniacally as I saw it.

Thoughts?

The Ghoul In Pajamas

PostPosted: Tue Aug 05, 2008 12:17 am

Yeah not really, Harry named his son after two men he deeply admired and had an enormous impact on his life (and continued existence) - two names that just don't sound too fly together. Bella, however, mixed together the names of her biological and vampire parents (people who didn't have much to do with anything) to create a horrid mutant name as abominable as her baby.

And plus, I heard it was more SMeyer stuffing her religion down everyone's throats. Because, apparently, Mormons take the first names of their parents and mix them together. So it was basically her saying, "Hey I'm a Mormon, this is how I do it in my religion. Edward will only love you if you do exactly this and be like me!!!!"

taken from this baby name site

"Mormons are known to create unique or uncommon names in a variety of ways, often combining parents' or grandparents' first names. So, Lewis and Amanda might result in Le'Anda. They also appreciate extremely unusual spelling variations, such as Kellee, Katlynn, Leee, and Alysoon."

It would have been fine if it was Renee Esme or vice versa, but no. She had to smudge them together to get Renesmee. And how does the double "e" at the end make an "ay" sound? She could have at least made Carlie the first name. That one sounds nice and cute. (Even though it makes me think of that horrible show on Nick, iCarly.)
I did have HP Epilogue flashbacks as well.
I agree with The Ghoul In Pajamas, the name is as abominable as the baby.

Renesmee as a name is boring, too long, plain, and obvious/ly stupid.

I don't really like it specially since it doesnt go along with the entire picture...

Isabella Swan, Bella Cullen
Edward Cullen
Jacob Black
Renesmee Cullen

????? They should've named her Etcetera for all I could care.. It sounds better.

I like Carlie though.

Carlie Isabella Resmee Cullen. Psh yeah!

Thank god Nessie came as a nickname even Bella gave into at the end. : ]
