I had started a thread to ask people what they wanted in some rps I'm might create (I'm not talking about one of the main story rps. Those me and BadKat will mostly likely come up with ourselves or a crew member will.) I planned on making an rp or two that werent completely connected with the main rp storyline for a little variety. Only one person (Asher) had actually posted an idea.
So
I've decided to start a contest to see who can come up with the best rp idea! I figured if I held a contest that would be incentive enough for you to be as creative as possible.

Post your rp idea here! I want you to be as creative as possible! When everyone who wants to participate has posted their rp idea we will all vote on the best one. (I encourage everyone not to vote for their own idea when we do vote.) The best rp idea will win a prize! This prize will be of the winner's choosing within a certain price range. I will not give one of the most expensive evolving items as a prize but a less expensive evolving item is definitely possible. (BadKat, I will provide the prize don't worry.) The winning rp idea and possibly the 2nd place idea will get made into rp threads.

Rules:
1. The rp idea must be about the Anita Blake series in some way. At the moment we don't plan on having any rps based off of something other than the Anita Blake series as this is an Anita Blake rp guild. It has to at least involve characters from the series.
2. The rp must be PG-13 or less. No extremly graphic violence or graphic sexual themes. This doesn't mean that there can't be anything steamy heart in the thread. You just can't explain the explicit details or have a rp idea that involves only sexual themes. The same goes for graphic violence. There can be violence but don't be excessive about it.
3. It must be an original idea. It cannot be an rp idea that you took word for word from an rp thread you went to one time. I will be checking other rp guilds to make sure. (Asher, if you want to do your backstory rp then you will have to come up with an original idea around it. I have seen another Anita Blake guild with an rp thread very similar to that. I'll send you a link to their guild page so you can make sure your idea doesn't copy theirs.)
4. It can't be totally connected to the main storyline. I'm looking for rp ideas that will provide some variety. It can be anything. You could even have all the characters in an alternate universe where some of their roles are reversed. You know, like Anita being the vamp and Jean-Claude maybe being the vamp hunter (Feel free to copy this idea as long as you come up with an interesting story around it).
5. Captains and Vice Captains are not eligible to participate. It really wouldn't be fair for me to participate in my own contest. And sorry BadKat, but you have the main storyline to worry about. Asher you can still participate in this particular contest because we only just now made you a crew member. Crew members may or may not be able to participate in future contests; it really depends on the type of contest.

I think the alternate universe idea is a good one! So rolling with that, how about a Master vampire of a close city wants to take over St. Loius. Of course, he can't out-right challenge Jean-Claude just now because the Council has forbidden any violence/challenges when it would be so easy for the humans to revoke vampires having rights and go back to mass-killing them all.

So what to do? Deciding the best thing would be for Jean-Claude and his ''entourage'' to disapear (this way he can fake ignorance) he manages to put then in parralel world where humans are the lowest on the food chain. They are in hiding because if they are found they are used for food or totured for entertainment. The vampires and shapeshifters are in talks about peace with each other, but it is strained because both sides believe they should be ultimate rulers. The witches/wiccans stay out of this as much as possible. They feel for the humans but ultimately they do nothing about it because it's better than being hunted aswell.

How about a thread that centers around bounty hunters in the Anita Blake series? That's all I got. Sorry, I'm not a very creative person.

I just read the thread title and thought it said 'no more entries.' What a loser.

Okay, to get another idea, what if it's set five years in the future (why five years? because One Tree Hill and Desperate Houswives have done this and I think it's going to be a trend for tv shows).

What's happened to everyone in between? I think it would be good to make new characters that have come and gone in that space of time...

okay, that sounds really ropey

What if it's about 20 years in the future and everyone's had kids and the RP is about them and the main times all the charcters we know come in is to give them 'sage advice' and all that?
