(Don't know if this would be a right place, but I think it's where it fits better)

I started using deodorant when I was about 9 and I used one of the normal/regular ones, no special super anti smell or anything.

About two years ago, it stopped working, so I changed to a knew one.
After a few tries, I found a good one, and I stuck to it. But a few months later it stoped working too emo

Ever since that, everytime I buy a deodorant bar, it stops protecting me after some time, and I have to start looking for another one D:
I'm 18 right now. I shave my armpits, if those facts help in any way...
It's anoying!!!! Right now I have almost 6 deodorant bars that didn't worked, or stopped working. I'm just wasting my patience and money and I don't know what to do. When it stops protecting me, it's not an awful smell, but still smells weird, and that affects a lot my confidence, since I barely wear strapless and no sleeve shirts emo
I love hugging friends, but now I feel scared, I only hug those days where the deodorant works xp

Is there any special strong deodorant that you know of?
Has this happened to you?
Help! emo

I use Teen Spirit by Lady Speed Stick. I've always used it since I started needing it and it has never failed me. They all smell really good and I'm always confident it works, though it does leave white marks.

I have seen a lot of commercials for clinical strength deodorants lately. Those might be something to look into.

Another thing to try is a more natural approach. The Crystal Body Deodorant Stick is a decent product, but it can be difficult to find depending on where you shop. It's a bit on the expensive side, but I find that it lasts a very long time, so it actually works out being less expensive in the end. I used this product alone for a little while, but it didn't work all that great for me. So I kept using that product, but then I would put either Crystal Crystal Roll-On Body Deodorant, Kiss My Face Liquid Rock Deodorant, Peaceful Patchouli, or Tom's of Maine Natural Deodorizing Body Spray, Calendula on over it. Now those three are also sort of expensive. But I found by using the solid one, then a liquid one, I get the protection that I need. The Kiss My Face stuff smells good and rather strong, so it's almost like having a deodorant and a light perfume on. I use them up a lot faster than the solid one, but they leave no white residue or anything, so they're great for sleeveless outfits.

And if you can't get any of this over the counter stuff to work for you, talk to a doctor about it. He might be able to tell you some thing you can change (such as diet), recommend other deodorants, give you prescription deodorant, etc.

Thanks a lot.
bustinrs2kickurs: That one worked, then failed D:
LorienLlewellyn: I'll check if I can find those and try them.
About the doctor: Should I go to a dermatologist or just a general doctor??

Hmm. Good question. I think either one might work, but I am not sure.

Along similar lines: good anti-perspirant? I'm fine with most smells, but I sweat quite a lot and so far all my 'stay-dry' tries, both sprays and bars, have failed. I'm a UKer too, so if there's cross-country products I'd be interested.

Good luck with your deodorant, think I'm on the wrong side of the pond to help though.
